Since Trudeau overrode the immigration department and removed the need for Mexicans to get visas Canada has been getting visited by crime gangs. They come up to pull a bunch of thefts and burglaries, then, if they're caught, they claim refugee status! The government wonders why people are turning against immigration and refugees but it does nothing to rectify outrages like this.

The man in the prisoner’s box came here as a tourist — but he had no plans to visit the CN Tower.

Instead, he and his Colombian pals arrived at Pearson airport earlier this year on Mexican passports. Unlike Colombians, Mexicans no longer require a visa to Canada thanks to the Liberal government’s change of policy as of Dec. 1, 2016.

Immediately upon arrival, according to police, he and his three compadres went to work — one of many South American crime cells that have come through Mexico and gone on to steal millions of dollars in high-end home break ins, distraction thefts and boosting from expensive shops.

And like the accused in the box, many quickly claim refugee status if they’re caught and enjoy welfare and legal aid as they postpone their deportation.

Taking the visa requirement away from Mexicans is ridiculous.  Visas are required from any country where there are known to be security risks or risks of people overstaying their visits illegally.  Mexico is a prime country where some obviously illegally overstay their legal visit time limits.  This means Canada requires visas for visitors from most countries in the world, with the exception of "safe countries" such as most of those who belong to the OECD (US, UK, Japan etc).

Why do you say that?  It was announced to be lifted before he was elected.  However, it was put in practice a few weeks after he was elected.

This is just one out of 1,000 reasons why 2019 isn't the time to pick your favourite Conservative party. If Trudeau wins re-election because of conservative vote-splitting, that basically makes Bernier the anti-Christ.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Do you honestly think there is one damned thing Scheer will do differently?

OMG Argus, do you honestly think that anyone would be as bad as Trudeau?

Can we agree on a few things here?

1) Trudeau OWNS the Canadian media - top to bottom, inside and out. Trudeau can stay stupid things or commit ethics breeches 'til the cows come home and it won't be a big deal because the media will run cover for it in every way from glossing over it to largely ignoring it to distracting viewers with less important stories. If the Conservatives make a single typo Trudeau will be on it like a dog on a bone and the media will be all over it for the next six months, just like duffygate was for 3 full years. Scheer's boringness is his greatest strength right now. It's Kryptonite for Trudeau & his MSM's hate-machine.

2) Bernier's tweets about Trudeau's silly comment "diversity is our greatest strength" were on-point and accurate, they weren't racist or hateful, but they provided the perfect opportunity for Trudeau & co to use their big, shiny words like racism, xenophobia, bigotry, homophobia, etc. Holier-than-thou Liberal sycophants were in their glory. Bernier will, at some point, give Trudeau all the ammo he needs to get his virtue-signalling campaign back up to full speed. The middle ground will once again be a minefield for conservatives, if not a killzone.

3) Trudeau is destroying this country, period. Economically, socially, on the international stage, our relationships with our allies... our country is getting a beatdown. He has to go or we are screwed. Every split conservative vote is two votes for Trudeau

The anti-Bernier bandwagon needs to stay strong. We need to get rid of Trudeau. Period.

Sadly, I really like Max, and blame the CPC for this situation, not him.  THEY turned their back on him leaving him to turn his on them.   Canada will pay the price for that, and the very large price may well be re-electing the most idiotic and incompetent individual to ever run for office in this country.

The CPC picked the best guy to beat Trudeau, not the most/best "Conservative" leader. Bernier was walking the line, taking risks. The 6 tweets about Trudeau's stupid "diversity is our greatest strength" comment are a perfect example of saying something that's perfectly sensible, yet wide-open to a virtue-signalling barrage by princess glitterfarts and a media blitzkrieg.

Bernier should have chosen to be a great conservative and help out the country. Instead he got selfish. He may have just screwed our country.

No. Not from what I can see at this point. If he is elected then he might do something but certainly during the election he seems to be deliberately avoiding the immigration issue for fear of alienating ethnic votes which is an insult to this ethnic anyways. Ethnics.. Our damn system panders now to what we think is this need to kiss up too ethnics. Please do not kiss my buttox anyone. Just treat me as you would any Canadian,. Stop sending out pandering messages. They are patronizing and an insult to my ethnic buttox.

Don't. Heis a dishonest ego maniac.. This man from the get go only was concerned with his own ego. He endangered Canadian security phacking around with a motorcycle gang whore. He is an egoist and airhead The people in the insurance company he worked for laughed at him. He's a bafoon. He is as shallow and stupid as Trudeau. His entire career now in politics is based on petulance. His stance now is simply to say the opposite of Tweedledee, Twiddledum and the joke of an NDP leader. His only hope is to get some seats in Quebec back from the NDP which is quite possible but in the rest of Canada, he's like Jagmeer Singh,he's a nobody. We are down to two Justin and Mr. Dimples. I am not happy with the invisibility of the Tories. If they want to take back some middle ground or what we call Blue Liberals or Red Tories like me, he sure as hell aint doing the job. As for Trudeau they muzzled the idiot but he soon has to go on the road and defend Lavalin, his China-Saudi Arabia-USA disputes, his deliberate dismantling of Immigration law,  the deficit,  his fiasco with Jody. I think the Conservatives feel they should just remain invisible and let him self destruct. No. They should be presenting strong alternatives and so far their message has been very milktoast.

They're not doing the job with blue tories either. What has Scheer got to say about health care? About immigration? Temporary foreign workers?  About the state of the military? About China? About taxes? About crime? Nothing but bland generalities. He's afraid to take a stand on anything and has no specific proposals about anything. He and his party are ciphers, with no ideas.

EXACTLY why I like Max:  he has at least been blessed with a pair of cojones whereas Dimples has yet to grow or show any.   Also, Max will gladly tell you what he believes and believes in, whereas tweedledee seems spellbound.   Only thing I can say is that NOBODY could be as stupid as tweedleDUMB,  but Canadians elected that mindless fool (and a cabinet befitting) so maybe they can only vote for people of no substance and intellect.
