Argus
I've noticed, of late, that sometimes when I reply to two different people, or sometimes three, on the same topic, the system puts them all together into one reply. How do I stop it from doing that?
Charles Anthony
I do not think you can stop it. I am referring this to Greg for now. I believe it requires his permissions to fix or adjust.
Argus
I do not think you can stop it. I am referring this to Greg for now. I believe it requires his permissions to fix or adjust. Sometimes it makes sense. Sometimes it doesn't. When I have a long reply to multiple points of one poster, and then reply to a different poster on a different aspect of the discussion, and the system appends that to the first reply it's quite possible the second poster will never even notice that I replied to them. Nobody reads the entirety of every post on a given topic, after all.

Forum Admin Greg Posted September 21, 2016 Forum Admin Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 OK, I'll look into it AFTER we migrate to the new server and after we upgrade the forum software. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Smallc
I like it to be honest.
Argus
It's a relatively recent thing. I sometimes have to exit a topic, post on another, then come back to post on the first again in order to avoid having the system collate my replies into one. GostHacked
Can you give me an example Argus? I've seen this too .. also the new update seemed to have broken a lot of formatting for the site. Everything looks way off.
BubberMiley
I like it to be honest. But no one likes it to be dishonest.

Forum Admin Greg Posted September 22, 2016 Forum Admin Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 I've seen this too .. also the new update seemed to have broken a lot of formatting for the site. Everything looks way off. Yup, I noticed the issues too. To be honest, the best thing to do is change the theme (lower left-hand side) back to IP.Board (from Maple Leaf Web V3). Once the site is migrated, and the forum software is upgraded, the theme will revert to the default IP.Board theme - at least until I find the time create a new custom theme. Thanks! Forum Admin Greg Posted September 22, 2016 Forum Admin Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 Ok I selected the V3 and formatting is still off. Ha, ya, i noticed that shortly after I told you the should solve the problem - sorry about that! It'll get fixed. However, in the mean time, can you try something for me - can you try to upload a new profile photo and see if that corrects the issue? It seems to be only affecting certain posters... That means something did not migrate properly from one format to the other, or your links to where files are is broken. Check if the files are linked in the same way. Reply box is all skewered too. When I am looking at the code Your profile pic is linked to an external site .. mine is local to MLW, I am
 You are
Edited September 22, 2016 by GostHacked

GostHacked
Did you try to upload a new profile photo? I should not have to. This is affecting a good deal of the profile pics on the forum. Looking at their forums, things get even more broke from V3 to V4.
bush_cheney2004
Did you try to upload a new profile photo? Yes...the profile photo upload worked swell (Firefox & Chrome). We can survive such inconveniences while the forum engine upgrade and migration is completed. Thanks for your hard work for site administration. GostHacked
Looks like my pic is back and I did not do anything,.. also some formatting seems to have been fixed, unless it was just my pc at home... anyways... seems to be better. cybercoma
Seems the path to the locally-hosted profile pictures is broken.
Charles Anthony
I found a setting that disables the automatic merging of concurrent posts. If it happens again, please Report the post in question.
Bonam
Did you try to upload a new profile photo? The problem is not just the profile photos but seemingly (almost) all images on the site. These include the "new reply" image on the "New Content" page as well as the topic name + post number image on every post. The overall effect is very jarring. GostHacked
Greg Site seems fine on my work rig, no issues there (pic and formatting is fine). Still weirdness with my pc at home though. (no pic and formatting is off)
