Ask them if that's what they want:

The settler leadership, however, is interested in co-existence only if Israel is in overall control.

.

Again...why? Is there some sort of threat that Jews might face if the IDF wasn't there?

If it was in the Koran's own words it would be in Arabic, not in English.

Muhammad could not read or write Arabic. Plus, during his lifetime, Islam only existed on the Arabian Peninsula. As I have already pointed out, the Quran itself says that the ONLY requirement for understanding the Quran is a 'pure heart'.

Not relevant to the discussion at hand. Typical.

Mohammad SPOKE Arabic and it was scribes that wrote it down in the Arabic of Mohammad. That is why the only authentic Koran in Islam is a Koran written in the Arab spoken by Mohammad.

Lots of fake Muslims on this Earth, then.

"That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an (77) In a Book kept hidden (78) Which none toucheth save the purified, (79) A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds."

Antisemitism is part and parcel with the Quran. Jew hate is written right into it...Jews are cursed by Allah.

Did they have a Koran?

I assume so...but again, you're ignoring history (Islam hadn't spread by conquest outside Arabia yet) and what the Quran ACTUALLY says (pure of heart et al). There are no authorities in Islam OTHER than the Quran/Hadiths. You're free to point out where in the Quran it says Arabic is the only language permissible.

?

The Muslim wars outside Arabia went on for over 1,500 years against hundreds of nations, and conquered over millions of square miles of land including British Empire at its peak....from southern France to the Philippines, from Austria to Nigeria, and from central Asia to New Guinea.

During Big Mo's lifetime, conquests were confined to Arabia. It was Abu Bakkr and Omar that first took Islam 'on the road' as it were. They were Companions of Muhammad and Caliphs after his death.

The Koran of Mohammad was written in his language. If its not in that language it's not the Koran. That is what it is considered across the Islamic world.

There are no considered authentic Korans outside the language of Mohammad. The Penguin Koran is not considered an authentic Koran.

I'm going to also take a safe bet that no Jew considers the Torah in Japanese to be an authentic Torah either.

However we are not talking about Muslims OR the Quran ... was not part of my OP.

Instead of complaining that folks aren't discussing antisemitism the way you'd like, why not join the conversation? As I've said already....what ELSE is there to say on the subject that wasn't said by page two?

Again, there is NO AUTHORITY in Islam other than the Quran. There is no Pope or what-have-you that has a better opinion or a more expert opinion. So keeping that in mind, you're free to point out (chapter/verse) where in the Quran it says that only medieval Arabic is permissible.

Then GH can continue the conversation, himself.

And when asked what else is there to say on the initial subject, you didn't respond. In fact, you replied 'off topic' according to your own standards.

You can always participate in the thread YOU started if you wish to drive the subject in the direction you deem correct..

I have been participating, I am driving the thread in that direction. Care to join me? I clearly laid the subject out in the OP.

Okay....what else is there left to say on the subject? You know how I feel on the topic.

DOP: What is there left to say on the subject? In my opinion, criticism of Israel is fine...as long as the history is correct...but support for Fatah/PLO/Hamas....who constitute the Palestinian Cause as such...is indeed iffy in terms of antisemitism...as they are antisemitic by their very nature.

And since we can't delve deeper into your query w/o being deemed off-topic....

The Koran was written in the language of Mohammad. If it is in English thus it isn't the Koran and that is what it is considered in Islam. In fact it is forbidden to enter Mecca or Medina the two holiest places in Islam to anyone who doesn't speak Arabic.

Re: GH acknowledged earlier that a point was pertinent to the topic in this discussion.

And the ultimate point remains that is 100% relevant to this topic: To be anti-Semitic is to be opposed to Semites which includes both Jews AND Arabs.

Now if someone says that not all Arabs are Semites, I will point out that actually far less Jews are likely to be Semitic than Arabs are to be Arabs.

I know what antisemitism is. And I recognize it when I see it.

Good.

So you understand now that criticizing Israel's witholding essential services and attacking Gaza, and expansion of settlements in the West Bank is ... criticism of Israel.
