Yes, the choice of language proffered tends to be slightly creepy IMO. For the record, I never said I agreed with it, nor would I personally walk around naked, nor have my children running around naked. I'm asking for a reasonable argument about why people shouldn't be allowed to go around naked if that's their choice. The argument has been, "well, perverts might get off on naked kids." Then when you press someone and say that we have laws against rapists and they should be dealt with accordingly. Those same people then say, "well those perverts will go home and masturbate thinking about your kids," as if 1) that's even possible to stop, and 2) it's a problem the same as sexual assault. If some pedophile is at the park looking at children, he or she is probably going to go home and masturbate thinking about them anyway. That's a far better situation then someone kidnapping them and raping them or someone exploiting children by distributing child pornography. And the key idea here is that those things are not the fault of the victim; those things happen regardless of what the victim is wearing. So why should we be putting any responsibility on victims when their attire is completely inconsequential? Quote
