msj
I guess he wasn't for everyone. Barbara Walters agreed with me though...maybe they...nevermind. I'm not following since I don't pay much attention to celebrities of whatever caliber. Maybe they... connected?

Hal 9000
No he wasn't. He had a smarmy pandering style. He must have saved the hard hitting for later. ...If the accusations are true.
msj
...If the accusations are true. Oh, I believe them in general even though I agree he should walk due to many reasons already stated here by others. No doubt he's a softy most of the time.... cybercoma
So you're pretty sure he did it, but you think he should go free due to procedural issues. Is it any wonder victims rarely come forward?
jacee
It's too bad - he was an amazing interviewer.I never cared for him. Tried to like the show, liked the guests, but could not like him. Something just not right. He made fun of Jane Fonda, giggling like a nervous nitwit. He couldn't deal with a mature woman he couldn't intimidate, that was very clear. Creepy. Always good to trust your instincts about creepy. . jacee
The sad thing is that he will walk to go ahead and do the same thing to young women. I would hope his reputation will now be a big warning sign to them. .

Is it any wonder victims rarely come forward? Yes I think exposing perps via social media will now be the method of choice. Obviously the Crown just isn't up to the task of bringing justice to creeps like him. .

overthere
So you're pretty sure he did it, but you think he should go free due to procedural issues. Is it any wonder victims rarely come forward? "procedural issues"?? A procedural issue is when they fail to file on time, or paperwork gets lost. No, what happened here is that the Crown failed to prove his guilt of the crimes they charged him with. That is more than a procedural issue. Well then, I'll ask you the same question that I asked WCR; With all the evidence in, would you return a guilty verdict for Ghomeshi? Big Guy
In a jury trial, the jury is sequestered and expected to regurgitate and evaluate the evidence, analyze the materials and continue to meet until they have a decision - or there is a hung jury. Why does a judge get 6 weeks to make up his mind? I say lock him into a room with all of the evidence, videos et al and deliver meals until he has made up his mind. What makes him so special? How many times do you have to flip a coin?

How many times do you have to flip a coin? Are you under the impression that jury trials are normally/always sequestered? The judge likely has a few other things on his agenda to deal with day to day, but hopefully he is doing what you suggest, only without the silly idea of locking him away.
