I think much of Islam thinks music is evil, and painting or sculpting images of people is sinful. Islamic Art Buddhist Architecture Buddhist Art For Hinduism, Raghurajpur is an entire city devoted to Hindu art and architecture. Again...the claim is religion specifically rather than a given culture...and that Christianity seems to excel at it over other religions. See link. Not that other religions are devoid of it.
