Perhaps it's the Democrat Party of California's way of outreach to children, and their conservative parents?

Dem Official Wishes ‘Debilitating, Painful, Incurable Diseases,’ on Kids of Ted Cruz Advisor

http://www.mediaite.com/online/dem-official-wishes-debilitating-painful-incurable-diseases-on-kids-of-ted-cruz-advisor/

Some of the more repulisve tweets of this particular California Democrat official range from wishing incurable diseases on the children of certain Republican individuals, to referring to certain Republican individuals as one of Ted Cruz's pubic lice,

This particular degenerate is actually the communications chair of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County. I bet they wish he was just some kinda vendor or something!

So much for the "new tone" that the media, and particularly the Obama administration insisted on. Correction, insisted on Republicans. Apparently Democrats can still say whatever they'd like, with little to no media attention. I can only imagine if a Republican said something like this, and participated in this kind of behavior.

It would lead the evening news!

Talk about ugly.

From what I'm reading, he has since resigned/been forced to resign, so that's good (hopefully true) news.

But yeah, he was actually the communications chair of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County, definitely a representative of the party.

no - strictly a volunteer... not a party official, not a paid party official... affiliated with one of California's 58 county level organizations.

apparently, the offending tweet was a direct response to one from a staffer of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz; a tweet calling for the defunding of Obamacare... you know, a defunding/repeal outcome that one can only presume the offending tweeter apparently felt would similarly result in American children suffering debilitating, painful and incurable disease.

Another of his lovely tweets:

I'm being attacked on Twitter for wishing one of Ted Cruz's pubic lice to experience the pain her boss is inflicting on Americans.

"Public lice?" Nice.

"Brauer officially left his post Friday after the Democratic Party of Sacramento County called for and accepted his resignation." So it is true that he resigned.

Wow, that's pretty bad. He's apologized but as this says, it's too late... He's the commications chair, or was.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento County Democratic Party leader has resigned after being thrown into the national spotlight for tweeting a death wish for a Republican staffer’s children.

He didn’t just tweet that he hoped for her children’s death, but tweeted he wished for a horrific one.

Both parties' communications' skills are pretty miserable.
  • Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone."
  • Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds.
  • Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location?
  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

some county democrat volunteer's tweet from september 20th has the mapleleafweb forum's model of class and politeness in shock.

i'd start posting the never-ending racist, sexist and other vile quotes, videos and tweets by republicans but that's giving effort. here is one of many places where you can find some of them:

How often do I keep having to repeat that politics is the realm of idiots, insults, and stupidity before people stop being surprised by this stuff? Both parties are filled with morons and imbeciles. There's no reason to take these people seriously.

It's difficult not to think ill of self-serving sleazes like Cruz. Nor is it beyond the imagination some would relish the irony of those who oppose any kind of public health care being unable to get any of their own.

I understand where the guy's coming from, but obviously you'd have to be a galactic idiot to actually post something like that.

But yes, it seems like some people don't have any concern about things until they affect them personally. Like anti-gay activists who rethink their views after one of their kids comes out of the closet.

During the election we heard all about the courage of the Romney family in dealing with Ann's MS diagnosis. What we never heard was how lucky the Romneys are that they have hundreds of millions of dollars to ensure that Ann can get whatever care she needs. For regular Americans who don't have hundreds of millions of dollars who get diagnosed with MS, it makes healthcare insurance difficult to obtain, easy to lose, and expensive to pay for. During the Republican primaries the media doted on Rick Santorum's devotion to his severely disabled daughter but nobody seemed to mention that for an ordinary American family, a child requiring the constant medical care that Isabella requires would be a devastating financial burden.

Wishing tragedy on someone is the height of poor taste, but it seems as if some people are incapable of understanding things until it affects them personally.

My niece has MS.....she is a "regular American".....with better insurance and health care than many "poor" Canadians. I wish Canada would do something about this.

American health care $8200 per person

Canadian health care $4400 per person

At least SOME of you damned well better have somewhat better health care for what your nation spends.

God knows many of you have far worse, after all.

Opposing Obamacare and opposing "any kind of public health care" are not synonymous.

Perhaps not, but as far as I'm aware the demands of the Tea Party types over the past couple of years have been to cut taxes further, while not cutting anything from the military, and cutting massively from social programs - which of course, means mediair and medicaid, as well as social security. So it's clear they're not interested in enhancing Americans' access to medical services, but in cutting that access further.

You're right. What's your preferred solution to the USA's healthcare issues, if not the ACA?
