Topaz Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Justin is right one has to keep the communications open if one really wants peace and that's what certain countries are trying to do with the Taliban and Jack Layton said the very same and then the Tories called him Taliban Jack. The Tories are eating crow now. As far as paying terrorist for Canadians they hold,,,Harper said he wouldn't but he did or some Canadian corporation did for those two diplomat in Africa. Quote

WWWTT Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Hi Shady. Why are you using the subject of the Taliban negotiations in this thread. I would think that a conservative supporter,in context of the past conservative position about the Taliban would steer miles away from this subject. After all,Jack Layton was way ahead of the conservatives on this. In fact, many deaths, including Canadian soldiers could have prevented if Jack Layton's planned approach was adopted. But that would mean that the conservatives would have to give the NDP some credit and the conservatives are more concerned with their reputation, not the safety of Canadians and people in general. Topaz Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 In my view, a politician that can admit they were wrong in their actions or thinking, it the best kind. Unfortunately for Canada, the seating party never admits any wrong doings, it just blames , attacks or runs away. Now, there is reports out that Harper may prorogue Parliament if the situation in the House in Sept, if that's only way they can escape it, and all the questions about the senate, the PMO and all the rest. Boges Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 What's shocking is that JT got paid $5,000 to do that press conference. Quote

Keepitsimple Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 It's actually quite remarkable. It seems that every time the kid opens his mouth, he sticks his foot in it. Can you imagine if Justin has to face a REAL news conference and actually say something of substance? I knew he was inexperienced but thought there was a chance that he could mature into something other than platitudes and a smile. I just can't see it. I think the critics were right - he's in WAY over his head. Quote Back to Basics
margrace Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 What a bunch of crock, the NDP has Harper on the run and boy is he doing some spinning. But of course Mulcair and Trudeau are to blame. This is the crookedist government I have ever seen. Quote
GostHacked Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 So why do we have party pre-approved questions being tossed at the politicians? While the focus on Trudeau is warranted, there is this other bit about the reporter and the questions? The CBC reporter said it was pre approved by the LPC. What is the reason for this? And can CBC sink any lower? Quote
Topaz Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 I bet all parties do that. In all of the elections Harper has had , he only allows 5 questions and probably knows the questions, its all politics. Justin is in the learning mode, and just like Harper, he's getting on job training as leader and he will made mistakes, just like Harper or any other leader. I think its more concerning is all the mistakes the seating party is making, especially the PMO. Quote

PIK Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 I see that justin went to the american liberal heartland and spoke of supporting the XL pipeline, Good for him.
