Guest Derek L Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Between bc and Derek stroking each others...weapons and stuff like this, it's hard to argue that there isn't a serious psychosexual vibe in the murder weapon enthusiast community. Cool, never heard of the "Man Card"...........Of course, I’ve never really paid that much attention to the Bushmaster products……..always thought them to be cheaper versions of Colt and Armalite rifles………Suited more to your trailer trash and Mountain folk types on a budget…. So, if according to you, firearms garner in some males a form of “primeval macho male vibe interjected into sexual development”, as such, would that make those males that are afraid of guns “neutered in their sexual development”? Which is exactly what they are. How dare some liberal elites deny the poor and poverty stricken their right to own firearms. So, if according to you, firearms garner in some males a form of “primeval macho male vibe interjected into sexual development”, as such, would that make those males that are afraid of guns “neutered in their sexual development”? I don't think so, but this sexuality angle is always the last refuge for our liberal friends. Wouldn't explain why many women choose to own and use firearms. Protecting the right to kill millions of children with abortions on demand is what they "stroke". Edited December 16, 2012 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Well of course, teaching children how to safely handle, be around and respect a firearm, like anything else really, is only prudent when there’s firearms in the house……….I don’t see any difference then with matches, a stove, weed whacker, power tools etc It’s telling that those that raise their children covered in bubble wrap, tend to produce young adults afraid of things……. And Firearms safety......between the NRA and Jeff Cooper, the entire "book" on firearms safety, used not only by private owners, but police and military, was written..............Funny what those that know about a subject like guns can do. Hudson Jones Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 You don't know much about the U.S., eh? One of the reasons that the American culture is crumpling from within is that many Americans are in denial about their own problems. Their pride and stubbornness to look at themselves and criticize themselves is part of the problem. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi

WWWTT Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Last year Great Britain: 1 per 7,830,125 people died from gun shots. U.S: 1 per 29,044 people died from gun shots. Britain has one of the strictest gun laws in the world, while the US has one of the most lax gun laws internationally. In 1996 there was a school shooting in Scotland where 16 children and 1 teacher died. The following year the UK banned all cartridge ammunition handguns, regardless of caliber. TheNewTeddy Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) Maybe it is. But why is it American society, in particular, that has such a problem with this? Why do they have so many more incidents of rampages than Canada, or Norway, or Britain? I know we like to cherry pick the tragedies and say "see, it happens in other societies that have gun controls too" and are all pleased as if that shows gun control isn't the right answer. Maybe it isn't. Maybe the US truly is a demented society as compared to so many other nations that don't have to deal with these types of tragedies on such a frequent basis. People are irresponsible. That's the core of the problem. Guns are weapons. Guns are not "Freedom". The problem is the Americans who think they are "Freedom". After all, would you leave your freedom at home? If this mindset was quashed gun control would not be needed. Irresponsible people should have their right to bear arms infringed.
