Argus Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 With the worlds reliance on interconnected networks, a group like Anonymous can actually make quite a mess, and cost you a whole lot of money. These groups are just like the kids who spray graffiti on walls. But in this case, their graffiti spraying could get them killed. So they might be best to look elsewhere for targets. I don't think the Israelis will send the FBI after them. More likely their computer will explode next time they turn it on... Argus Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Just don't complain when Iran funds or arms Hamas. They are allies. I know you don't like it, but that is just the sort of thing allies do. Not quite the same thing. Israel is a nation-state and the aid is designed for their defense. Further, the money is to aid in their defense against any attackers, whomever they might be. The Iranian money and arms to Hamas is specificially designed to help them attack Israel. Argus Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Another view: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/commentary/those-boring-gaza-rockets/article5354953/ I can see why the Israelis would finally get fed up and decide to do something about these rocket attacks. People can complain all they want about historical perspectives and the blocade, but an Israeli response was inevitable. Let the Palestinians get nation-state status, and all the perks then if they continue to be aggressors, turn the area into glass. Plain and simple. I guess even all the money pumped into Iron Dome did not do the trick either. Quote

GostHacked Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 That sounds like genocide to me. Then the Palestinians needs to do what the Jews did. They need to take their nation state, claim it as so, and everyone will have to recognize it. But sure why not, let's get this next holocaust over and done with so I can get back to more important things. Really? Seems damn effective to me. Some are still getting through. Quote

Guest American Woman Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Hudson Jones if that is your real name, your continuing propoganda campaign against Israel sounds remarkably similiar in syntax and grammar to Bud. Amen to that. I briefly skimmed over his response to me, and it basically consists of accusing me of "justifying civilian deaths," which I have never done, and twisting what I said into something it's not. Completely dishonest. The only thing missing is the "hasbara bot" name calling. Quote
Bonam Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Did you expect 100%? I expected 30%. Awesome video. I've been saying Iron Dome will change the reality of the situation and it certainly looks like it's doing that. A few more batteries to tighten the perimeter and Hamas rockets will become largely ineffective as 99%+ get intercepted. Quote

People can complain all they want about historical perspectives and the blocade, but an Israeli response was inevitable. Exactly. Which is why Canada, the U.S., Britain, and Scotland all made statements recognizing Israel's right to defend itself and putting the blame for this escalation in the fighting on Palestine. Quote

Guest American Woman Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) Scotland is a part of Great Britain, but they are holding a vote on independence soon. Yes, it is part of Great Britain, but can't Hague speak on behalf of Scotland? Perhaps I'm wrong, and Scotland can't speak for itself? At any rate, Australia recognizes Israel's right to defend itself, too: ''Australia supports Israel's right to defend itself against these indiscriminate attacks. Such attacks on Israel's civilian population are utterly unacceptable.'' Hudson Jones Posted November 16, 2012 Author Report Posted November 16, 2012 Here is footage from Tel Aviv. On one side, Israelis protesting against more unnecessary violence and the end of the cycle of war. The other side, well, see for yourself @ 3:50: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ2klbPtvpA These are the pro-violence Israelis, including a member of Kenneset “They don’t deserve to live, they need to die” “May your children die, you dogs” “Now we want to go back there [to Gaza] and kick out all the Arabs.” “The people demand more shooting” “You’re cross-dressers! You’re the Gay Pride March, that’s what you are,” These were some of the calls from a group of Israelis demonstrating in favour of Israel’s attack on Gaza. The calls for blood and violence in the streets echo incitement by Israeli government leaders. In recent days Israel’s “minister of home front defense” Avi Dichter called for Israel to “reformat” Gaza – wipe it clean – like a computer hard drive, except using bombs. Israeli transport minister Israel Katz called for Israel to bomb Gaza so hard that the population would flee into Egypt, and for Israel to cut off water and electricity supplies. With the exception of small number of Israelis, majority of Israelis have turned into rabid racists whose own government calls for wiping out a whole people. It's like an experiment gone wrong. Even more astonishing is when they're up in arms when Hamas members make similar comments about Israelis and Jews, like they're somehow different. Quote When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi

In the 60s such systems existed for incoming nukes...until the ABM treaty...but we all know what sort of *bang* they would have made overhead. Sprint missiles were freaky fast. Guest American Woman Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 It would be like saying The US and Texas. I don't think that's a legitimate comparison. Scotland, while part of the United Kingdom, is a sovereign nation. From what I've read, the UK is made up of countries, while the U.S. is made up of Sates. Furthermore, "Scottish" is a nationality, while "Texan" is not. Quote

It was just a throwaway comment intending to make fun of the fact that they are having a referendum soon. I didn't mean anything by it, honest I didn't! But having said that, qualify something for me. This means you are laughing with the poster This means you are laughing at the poster. Is that a reasonable assumption?
