It was also grossly disrespectful to a group of veterans — aged 80 to 90 —
from both World War II and the Korean War.
It was disgusting.

Interesting that much of this disrespect came from, seemingly, some of the
very people who should have been at this ceremony saying thank you.
Instead they attempted to ruin it.

Another disgusting display by Muslims who do not have any respect of Canada's war dead. This is the day set aside to honour our war dead and these Muslims deem it an appropriate place to voice their protest? Disgusting.

If the Taliban were still in power these women would not be allowed to even speak out like this nor would they be allowed to talk back to man or even have any education or own a cell phone or a computer.

The police did the right thing here and their response was appropriate. I usually do not agree with the police actions but in this instance I do 100%.

If these people aren't happy in Canada may be they should go back to Afghanistan and live there instead. Perhaps all Canadians should disrupt the Muslim prayers at mosques and see how they like it.

Are new immigrants instructed that they are allowed to disrespect out traditions and customs when they come to Canada? That they need not respect us at all? I would like to know that if they are indeed instructed to keep their culture and traditions and crap on ours whenever they want.

not to mention the war dead fought to give freedom of speech to all.

Kind of a bitch huh?

Time and a place. This is not the time or place to protest these things. It's like going to a gang killing funeral protesting gun control. It's in bad taste.

Two or three white guys fighting ? Why is this a Muslim issue ? There were people yelling at the fighters was wearing middle east headscarf, that's it.

The two women were on various news outlets talking about what they were doing and they were not alone. Many Afghans feel that Canada had no place in in their country. So I wonder why they don't go back there. They need to be thankful instead of full of disdain and hatred for white people.

It's very ironic that they would protest Canada's involvement in Afghanistan. Would they even be allowed to have an opinion in a Taliban controlled Afghanistan?

Time and place would be nice, however, they decided not to play it that way, as is there right.

Bad taste like the Fred Phelps et al.

no one is saying it's illegal just that it's inappropriate and lacking class. It's disgusting.

Restricted freedom, eh?

Nope. Just stating that what they were doing was tasteless and classless. Are you going to say that what they did, when they did it, was a classy thing to do at a Remembrance day ceremony with 90 year old war veterans present?

Maybe those 2 fine ladies would care to opt for a female circumcision on Ramadan? Sickening to see what we have allowed onto the soil our soldiers fought for,,.

No. Why would I say that?

If I wasn't disabled I would go in front of the mosque near my house and eat bacon sandwiches with big signs and a megaphone criticizing Islam during their prayers. If I did it now they would beat me and cut my head off.

Ironic they fought for the freedom of those women to do so.....doncha think?

It's also ironic they're protesting Canada's attempt to bring similar freedoms to their home country.

It's an ironic paradox.

They wanted free education and health-care it seems... They dont seem to agree with or like ANY other aspects of Canada

You're applying a double standard here. You've got an irrational fear of being dragged into a Mosque and butchered. You're not acknowledging it, and furthermore you are letting that drive your views on such things rather than take responsibility for yourself and seeing somebody about your phobia.

That's because Mr. Canada Merlin is not being serious. He's playing a character to incite people, like he always has.

Restricted freedom, eh?

And we have the freedom to shut them down, if anything did happen here.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
