PIK Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 (edited) Give us a break, this really shows how pathetic the NDP have become. Making a big deal out of the RCMP taking a amoured car to india to protect the PM of Canada. Is this their way of saying , if we get rid of harper now we have a chance for power? Edited November 6, 2012 by PIK Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

I watched the “debate” yesterday on CBC’s Power & Politics and as Rob Silver (A Liberal?) suggested, it’s a complete non storey and just goes to show the level of pettiness on the part of the NDP and the media trying to create something out of nothing. Fletch 27 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 I think he kinda shot himself and made him and his party look Amateurs and unfit to have a party when he stated that it was HArpers decision and the Tories decision to fly the Vehicles over.... The security of the PMO has been under the RCMP since day one... We were taught that in school... Its a shame that we need a Candy Crowley for the NDP fact checker.... Quote
PIK Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 Peggy Nash at her best, but where are the NDP boobirds anyways. lol Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
g_bambino Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Making a big deal out of the RCMP taking a amoured car to india to protect the PM of Canada. It wasn't "a" (don't you mean "an"?) armoured car, it was two. I wonder why. But, yes, it is the decision of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I just don't appreicate the presidential appearance all this gives to the Prime Minister. Quote

g_bambino Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Well, what is it? $22 million a year for his security, alone? That's more than the entire annual budget of the Office of the Govenror General. Quote
Wilber Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Tata now owns Jaguar and Land Rover, both of which are used by Royals and the British PM on occasion. I find it interesting that they couldn't provide and armoured version in India. Wonder what the Indian PM uses. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC

Is the media reporting a story now a meme called ;"create something out of nothing' ? DId the media print their opinion first then see if someone else parroted the line? Guest Derek L Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 That's Sri Lanka... don't think they are relevant in India. I know, but they're not the hugest of fans of Canada and had ties to the Mumbai attacks a few years back...........Or Al Qaeda/ Islamic extremists from Pakistan………….Killing a Foreign leader in India would be a coup for them…. PIK Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 I have to laugh at the people trying to defend the NDP. This trip is also a high level business trip and when it comes to business any advantage is good, so this way he will not be a car that could be bugged to high heaven. The left just does not get it and they have no business to even think about being in power untill they figure it out that not everybody loves no matter how much they tell you they do. Thank god the NDP will be gone after the next election. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

guyser Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 I have to laugh at the people trying to defend the NDP. So let me guess...you laugh at imaginary things? Not one person here has tried to defend the NDP. If you want to laugh, laugh at people who make something up out of thin air. Now thats laughable Quote
Guest Derek L Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Since no context was changed, why not just answer the question? It most certainly was, as my original quote: I watched the “debate” yesterday on CBC’s Power & Politics and as Rob Silver (A Liberal?) suggested, it’s a complete non storey and just goes to show the level of pettiness on the part of the NDP and the media trying to create something out of nothing. The NDP made the first “attack” in QP and some in the media reported it…………..Now if you wish to continue to play Waldo games that’s fine, but I’m not interested. Quote
guyser Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 It most certainly was, as my original quote: Nope, sorry! The NDP I grant you are what they are and portrayed her badly by being childish about this issue. However, it appears by your own words that the press made this up out of thin air. Yyou support the press printing about this, so how is it 'out of nothing? The NDP made the first “attack” in QP and some in the media reported it…………..Now if you wish to continue to play Waldo games that’s fine, but I’m not interested. Waldo games? So the NDP did attack...the press reported it.....so the question remains. Quote
Guest Derek L Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Nope, sorry! The NDP I grant you are what they are and portrayed her badly by being childish about this issue. However, it appears by your own words that the press made this up out of thin air. Yyou support the press printing about this, so how is it 'out of nothing? It’s not “newsworthy” to a reasonable person……….There were past security failures with former Prime Minister Chrétien that embarrassed the RCMP, the planned (granted lofty) terror attack several years back that included decapitating PM Harper, and his traveling to a country that’s surrounded by unfriendly countries, was the victim of a terror attack several years ago and doesn’t have the most stellar history in protecting their own Prime Ministers…………What’s to debate/discuss? If anything, the Canadian public is being done a great disservice by the NDP opposition for it’s lack of ability to pick it’s battles………’member the old storey of the boy that cried wolf? Quote
