Nice way to confuse "belong," as in "to be the property of," and "belong," as in "be a member in a group."

So this is the Republican way: not only to tell lies about things as simple as how fast the VP candidate runs a marathon but to purposefully confuse the context of words to try and make a molehill out of a bump.

If a believer demands that I, as a non-believer, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy. Flemming Rose (Dutch journalist)

My biggest takeaway from economics is that the past wasn't as good as you remember, the present isn't as bad as you think, and the future will be better than you anticipate. Morgan Housel http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2016/01/14/things-im-pretty-sure-about.aspx

Yeah, that's why the Obama campaign has insisted that it's not their video, it's the DNC's . Anyways, it fits in perfectly with the "you didn't build that" party.

There is certainly a difference of opinion in how each views government.

Obama's party sells "benefits" - you need us.

Romney's sells "freedom" - we will leave you alone.

It's kreepie to say “We all belong to the government.” as they eliminate God from their platform. I'm the gov't - I'm here for you. Shudder too bad they don't have a moderate third party.

It is like you are a million years behind the news cycle. God is in that platform. Poor old conservatives don't know there left from their right.

I thought the GOP would have more to run on than misrepresentations and lies.

Romney's "freedom" involves taking away women's right to chose as well as a desire to amend the Constitution to ban SSM. That's hardly a "we will leave you alone" message.

They're particularly happy to leave you alone though if you are poor and want to better yourself or if you're sick and poor and want health care.

US elections,....the dems are in and they have spent too much money so the voters will put in the Republicans and fours years down the roads, when the elections comes the dems will be back in, but of course, Romney may get another four so that put the Dems back in 2022. Two party system really doesn't help the country, they need a third party.

Yes because US education spending hasnt risen steadily for 20 years, nor has medicare, medicaid or social security

Exactly how much is enough for you lefties?

I've said it before - the Dem slogan could've been the same for forty years:

"MORE!l

It illustrates just how far left they've drifted since JFK.

Hopefully the Americans in November won't see that circus in Charlotte as having been even slightly entertaining, though the antics over Jerusalem and G-d are almost funny in a sick way.

the neat thing about being left wing is you dont have to accomplish anything. just adopt an ideology and you are automatically "a better person".

it's so cool being altruistic with other peoples' money ain't it?

The kind of person who sees the centrist wing of the one Business Party as ....leftist!

Who promotes freedom, but opposes ss-marriage and abortion...on the grounds that queers and women need as much "freedom" as the (straight, and preferably moneyed) menfolk are willing to give 'em! :)

Oh, and fans of underage teen-diddler Ted Nugent, newly-minted "traditional Family Republican Spokesman."
