That's over simplifying it.

Everything we do is related to money.

Here is the deal. $50K. Maybe 40. Plus the only pension you get is what you put in. Plus no more complaining about how hard you work.

If you talk about how hard you work and how it's "for the kids", we get to pee on the school and you have to hose it down.

You're a babysitter. get over yourselves, you're lucky you make $30K.

How about 15 bucks an hour, like my babysitter makes.

Have you been to university? Have you seen the education faculty? These are not our nations brightest bulbs.

Cut the pay, the benefits and the pensions. Then we wouldn't have such an oversupply of these wonks.

You know, with the debt Ontario has now, if the Liberals can't retain back so money from the provincial workers across the board, then every Ontarian is going to be paying more in taxes or users fees. So any gain the teachers make, may end up losing over provincial cuts or taxes and from what I've been told the new offer by the gov't, won't hurt the senior teachers but the new teachers. Many in the private sector, have already gone through new rules for new workers as far as pay and pension, so why does this group think they should have it better than the rest of us? After all, they are our servants.

Every worker is your servant. Doesn't mean I can tell the good people at Ford/Sobeys/Shoppers/etc. what they should be paid as a worker.

Not saying we don't need restraint... Just that laws that put government above the constitution is not the way.

And the attack on the younger generations is disgusting. If anything, we should be clawing back the wages of senior workers to keep younger workers wages higher. They have more debt and a poorer future outlook for prosperity.... and will be paying for those senior workers entitlements their entire lives.

****ing ponzi scheme we live in.

You have no clue. Your ignorance astounds me. I am currently in the faculty of education there are MANY bright minds there who care about kids and the environment and tolerance and equality. Become informed before preaching your stupidity.

It seems in ottawa parents paid for the football last week, and they now have to try and get a refund, when the teachers knew there would be no sports. It is sickening.
