bud Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) while natanyahu, who leads a country with an illegal nuclear weapons program tries to distract the world with a nuclear weapons program that doesn't exist, the illegal jewish settlements continue to grow at a fast pace and the jewish settlers continue provoke. According to B'Tselem, which uploaded the footage to YouTube, a large group of settlers, some masked and armed, approached the village from the nearby settlement of Yitzhar and began throwing rocks and starting fires. After a group of Palestinians gathered and threw rocks in return at the settlers, Israeli police and soldiers arrived on the scene. One of the settlers is seen crouching while aiming and then firing his pistol at the group of Palestinians. Another settler is seen firing an assault rifle. "The video footage raises grave suspicions that the soldiers present did not act to prevent the settlers from throwing stones and firing live ammunition at the Palestinians," said B'Tselem. "The soldiers did not try to remove the settlers and in fact are seen standing by settlers while they are shooting and stone throwing." more: Edited May 21, 2012 by bud Quote http://whoprofits.org/
Moonlight Graham Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 I think the world should start taking a blind eye to both Israelis and Palestinians until they both start to grow up and act like civil human beings instead of babies fighting over a sandbox. That region isn't even worth our time. I'm tired of reading about this problem in the news and everywhere else because parts of each group has hateful, vengeful narratives against the other. Bud, you're part of the problem, not part of the solution. Grow up. Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.

Moonlight Graham Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 i like to know why you think i'm part of the problem. Moonlight Graham Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 why shouldn't the treatment of palestinians be given a spotlight? were those who gave a spotlight on the treatment of blacks in apartheid south africa part of the problem? The news has to be reported, yes. But yours is the typical narrative, where each side sees themselves as the "victim" and the other side as the evil monster. Plenty of evil monsters on either side. bud Posted May 22, 2012 Author Report Posted May 22, 2012 No I suppose not, leaving the region to it's own devices is probably what ultimately helped solve it. i would disagree. it was the movement and the empathy of the people around the world that ultimately put pressure on our governments that eventually ended the support for the apartheid government. the same thing is happening against the zionist ideology. it's not a matter of if it will happen, but a matter of when. Bud is to Palestinians as Shady is to Republicans. i'm not offended by that comparison, because you are either not paying attention to what i have been saying or you're trying to defend and cover your earlier outburst. all i have ever defended was justice and human rights. that's the only side i try to defend. criticism of israel does not have to be followed by criticism of palestinians to try to make myself look unbiased. bud Posted May 26, 2012 Author Report Posted May 26, 2012 and more of the same tactic used by jewish settlers: An Israeli settler shot and wounded a Palestinian man on Saturday in a clash that began when a group of settlers set fire to fields belonging to a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank, officials said. Residents said about 25 settlers, some of them carrying guns, set fire to wheat fields in the village of Orif, which is near the northern West Bank city of Nablus. Some villagers came out to extinguish the fire and clashed with the settlers, said Nablus official Kassan Daglas. Israeli soldiers then came to the scene and broke up the clashes. The Palestinian was shot in the stomach, medical officials said, and taken to the hospital. Quote http://whoprofits.org/
