I did for a while then it got repetitious, same old same old.. Just saw that and thought I'd ask. So there you go. Still nothing new or proof of anything. Still nothing new or proof of anything. Well, the CPC are stonewalling every effort to assist in this investigation, so no, I guess it is same old same old. Hey, while I am here Scribblet, why do you think that the CPC is trying everything under the sun to avoid providing any evidence whatsoever all the while trying to get this investigation in to them halted? Bryan Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Bull cocky. That's the silliest reason/excuse I have ever heard. Bryan, these calls weren't made to just CPC supporters, come on man. Parties call a lot of people to try to gauge support and/or change opinion. Undecideds are often a fairly significant block. Election day numbers for the CPC have been better than most pollsters predicted for five elections running. They are the only party to increase their support every single time over that period. They are clearly better at this than anyone else. Why would they volunteer to let the opposition know how they do it? Quote

jacee Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Canada’s chief electoral officer Marc Mayrand planning crackdown on robocalls OTTAWA—The man in charge of elections in Canada is pushing for a legal crackdown on the use of so-called robocalls by political parties before the country goes to the polls again in 2015. With 1,300 separate investigations now under way into alleged, fraudulent calls to voters in the 2011 election, Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand believes that Canadians’ faith in the democratic system is being shaken. “Deceptive phone calls, both live and automated, have arrived on our electoral landscape and their use will have an impact on how Canadians view the electoral system,” Mayrand said in a speech on Tuesday to the Economic Club in Ottawa. “I will be bringing forward recommendations to ensure that the Canada Elections Act has the right measures to deal with this new reality.” The elections chief isn’t revealing details yet of the tighter laws he will be seeking from Parliament early next year, except to say they will be “measures to prevent a recurrence of the issues we saw in the last election, particularly in relation to robocalls. Shakeyhands Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Is this the beginning of the end for the CPC's insistence that it did nothing wrong in the election? Will Sona spill the beans here, or will the party brass shut him up somehow? Indeed, EC needs to get to the bottom of this, can he be held until he divulges what he knows? Sona says the Guelph campaign received a lot of direction from Conservative party headquarters in Ottawa and says the party should know who accessed its database to make the robocalls list. While he maintains his innocence, Sona is shedding no light on which individuals might have been involved in the scheme, saying it’s up to Elections Canada to get to the bottom of the matter. http://www.thestar.c...robocall-scheme Edited November 1, 2012 by Shakeyhands Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
PIK Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 Lets see the evidence right now, this has gomne on long enough, that if they don't have anything now they never will. But let it go on long enough and they will build the evidence to suit thier needs, put up or shut up. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
scribblet Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 Agree, if E.C. has completed it's investigation then it needs to release the findings, otherwise all the speculation and innuendo takes on a life of it's own becoming fact for some. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/10/31/pol-michael-sona-exclusive-interview-on-robocalls.html Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
cybercoma Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 Federal Court documents show that Tory scripts raised polling changes. n an affidavit sworn Aug. 8, 2012, Andrew Langhorne, the company's chief operating officer, provided a script used by its callers that asked voters to confirm they knew where to vote on election day and said, "Elections Canada has changed some voting locations at the last moment."Full article: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/11/05/pol-robocalls-ridings-election-challenge.html Quote

Topaz Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Can't wait to see how the Tories spin this one in the House, especially the new court jester Pierre. Does this mean Morgan can never come home again??. Quote
scribblet Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 It doesn't mean anything other than he accepted a job in S.A. More speculation and innuendo, but spin on. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Bryan Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Ken Morgan, who was the manager for Marty Burke's campaign at the centre of the robocall investigation, has packed up and moved to Kuwait. Talk about a biased headline. We already know who was doing the Robocalling in Guelph, and it was a Liberal. Quote
Topaz Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 That liberal call has been out in the open, its the coverup one that Election Canada wants more info on.Did you see the 24 year old that was accused by the Tories, who worked for the Tories in the last election? He said he didn't do it because he doesn't the the password for this particular computer for the calling list but he thinks he knows who could have done it that DO know the passwords. He also said that EC doesn't believe he had anything to do with either. Quote
scribblet Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Elections Canada seems to be pretty ineffective, I'll bet nothing ever comes of it. Where's CSI when you need 'em.
