Forum Admin Greg Posted July 28, 2004 Forum Admin Report Posted July 28, 2004 Hello all, In response to the calls for provincial politicsl section I have reorganized the forums. Basically this is the structure you will see, Canadian Politics Section * Federal Politics * Provincial Politics * Canadian / American Relations * Moral & Religious Issues International Politics * United States * The Rest of the World News and Help * Announcements * Support and Questions I would like to hear some feedback on this move. Do you like it? Is it too compartmentalized? Are the section headings clear enough? Remember, nothing is permanant, and I can change it back if we find that this setup isn't working. Cheers, Greg Admin Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.
Hugo Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 I like it. I think it'll make things a lot more logical and easy to find around here. Nice work. Quote
Tawasakm Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Do you think it would be of any interest or relevance at all to add a "Commonwealth" section to the international forum? Or is this an idea that goes nowhere? Maybe nobody wants to talk about kangaroos or kiwiws... Quote
idealisttotheend Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 I think the new structure is working and thank Greg for his efforts. Hopefully we will have people from all parts of the country post and comment on provincial politics in their area (or I guess we could go another 11 pages on Alberta seperation ). Thanks again to Greg. Quote All too often the prize goes, not to who best plays the game, but to those who make the rules....
Big Blue Machine Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Thanks Greg Quote And as I take man's last step from the surface, for now but we believe not too far into the future. I just like to say what I believe history will record that America's challenge on today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow. And as we leave the surface of Taurus-Littrow, we leave as we came and god willing we shall return with peace and hope for all mankind. Godspeed the crew of Apollo 17. Michael Hardner Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 It looks great. Thanks again. Quote  Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner

maplesyrup Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 Greg....mighty fine effort! Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. Anatole France
August1991 Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Can I disagree? Seriously? Greg, did you see what you did on your screen? Did you view the screen as a newcomer? What do they see? Greg, you did this (Current Screen): Canadian Politics Section (Open discussion on any aspect of federal politics in Canada.) * Federal Politics * Provincial Politics * Canadian / American Relations * Moral & Religious Issues International Politics * United States * The Rest of the World News and Help * Announcements * Support and Questions ---- I think, you should have done this: Canada (Discussions about Canada) * Federal (Any topic about Canada and Canadian life) * Provincial (Any topic about a specfic Canadian province) International (Discussions about International Issues) * The World (Any topic about events around the world) * United States (Any topic specifically about the US) * Canadian / American Relations (Any topic specifically about Canada and the US) Moral, Religious, Political Issues Site News and Help * Announcements * User Discussion and Questions ---- This matters. People in newspapers/MFAs read this forum. Make their mundane lives easier. I would appreciate a reply. Quote
Forum Admin Greg Posted August 19, 2004 Author Forum Admin Report Posted August 19, 2004 August1991, I can see your point, about moving "Canadian / American Relations" to the International Politics section. What does everyone else think? Cheers, Greg Admin Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.
idealisttotheend Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 I guess August's way is a bit better. It makes more sense to have M&R seperate. Quote All too often the prize goes, not to who best plays the game, but to those who make the rules....
Tawasakm Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I realise I am only a junior member so perhaps I should not be commenting on forum structure. But I will anyway I agree with August1991 that bilateral relations between two nations is an internation topic (it IS between two nations after all). I also agree that Moral and Religious topics should either be on their own OR in The Rest of the World Section. By their very nature such issues are international ones. In fact most (I'm guessing not all) religions have their roots outside of Canada. They are also issues that impact on people of many nations. Theres my two cents worth. On another note I have observed that this is an excellent discussion board. The debates are insightful and informative and mostly calm and rational. I would like to commend all involved for creating such a wonderful forum for discussion. I gather that Greg is the main architect - so kudos (I really hope I spelled that right) to you Greg. Quote
