That's stupid - what was wrong with persecuting Muslims - that was working pretty good for us haters.....now suddenly they want to re-introduce Jew hating...that would make the "protesters" neo-Nazis of sorts......eveybody wants to blame someone else for their own cowardice and lack of diligent action.....yah - the jews did...yah it's the Muslim terrorists - yah it's the immigrants - yah it's the rich.............when in fact it is us that allow this to happen because we have no guts or strong principles of belief - this is a circle jerk of survivalists marching on the banks wanting free money - and blaming everyone but them selves for not having any.

The intent of progressive proportionate (%) income tax in Canada is specifically that it should "affect" everyone equally. Thus if you are middle class, it might amount to (eg) foregoing one of your two family cheap camping/visiting holidays per year, while for the wealthy it might amount to foregoing 3 of your 6 expensive hotel/cruise holidays per year.

That makes no sense……..I'll reuse my earlier example………if a Canadian household pays 25% of their 100K income in taxes, that’s just as fair as my household paying 25% of our 400k income…….Why do you want to take more of my money? And why should I be happy to pay more?

I’m not stepping on the heads of the poor…….Why should I pay a larger portion of my income then other Canadians? Between my wife and myself, we committed near 19 years of our lives to post secondary education………We deserve what we earn!

And what you "earn" is total income minus lawful taxes, and if you don't like the laws here, find a place with laws you like ... but don't expect much in government services. Instead, be prepared to pay a bundle for health care, private security, etc. And put up with roads full of potholes, aggressive panhandlers everywhere, etc.

Or maybe not. Maybe you can find utopia. Either way, it's not likely that most Canadians will care too much.

But if you want to live here, you pay lawful taxes for

government funded/subsidized services OR you challenge the laws in court (and lose) OR waste your well-off life being a perpetual whiner.

You make your own choices.

Never said you were not deserving the rewards of your efforts. What I was attemping to say was....those that create jobs - the independants have their hands tied by a system that desperately wants to maintain extreme wealth and power - when it was small buisness that spawned their great eterprise in the begining. Underground economy must not be frustrated - for it is the beinging of new enterprise that in time if let to grow will become contributors - but in the mean time let them thrive...

All you need to do is watch YouTube videos of the protests. It's just endless examples of idiots leftists complaining about greedy and evil corporations crushing the "working man", calling for socialism, communism, redistribution of wealth, etc. Nose rings, dread locks, tattoos, oversized jeans and ripped plaid jackets, the usual trash.
