You are an idiot.

No, I'm pretty sure that you are the bigger idiot and, now, I am the biggest idiot of this thread.

Thanks for pushing me to this point of idiocy, you idiot. :P;)

Shady is a troll. Your continued responses to the troll just encourage it.

If we all put it on ignore and never replied to its posts then it would go away and maybe, just maybe, this forum would become a good place to have an earnest discussion about something (anything!) that is even remotely intelligent.

But no, trolls and their ilk are met by people like you and your ilk and everything descends from there.

I know how Shady operates, not worried about him. And no, putting on people does not make them go away, and it does not silence them.

You got that right...using the ignore feature only isolates that user to a passive aggressive role.

Since I started using the ignore function I find myself on these forums a lot less and reading, and running, and thinking... a lot more.

I suppose if I were Charles I would get rid of the ignore function and encourage the Shady's, if only to generate traffic.

Well for even the stuff we disagree on, it's more useful to engage you than to ignore it. You cannot combat idiocy by ignoring it (no not saying you are an idiot. As abrasive as you can be sometimes, at least I know where you stand on a subject, even to a fault. But that's the way things are.

Some people need the ignore function. It's like burying their head in the sand and or plugging their ears screaming LALALALALLALALA.

Some people simply cannot handle the bitter truth of things today. I am learning to deal with it, but the more truth you know the more disturbing things actually are. The world is not as nice as everyone thinks....

We also learn what types of people some posters are by the threads they initiate. This atheist being cowards is an example of Shady's mentality, because this is the type of tripe he likes to focus on. Non-issues that don't even deserve a paragraph in any paper. This is a superficial issue.

Agreed...I am abrasive by design. I refuse to be...ummmm...a passive aggressive Canadian! ;)

Agreed....dinner conversation is more interesting with someone you disagree with.

I like Shady's hook...it worked. The underlying PC issue is real.

There is no "truth" on these forums - just various degrees of nihilistic idiocy.

They are a bit of amusement, at best.

You remind me of this image.

Me? I'm going out for a nice run. I'll do some yoga tonight with the wife (and some other hot women).

But you and Bush keep on fighting the good fight!

You are an idiot. More tripe. Reality?? Don't you have some Ann Coulter to listen too?

Calling something tripe etc doesn't make it so. You can't address the real issue, so you're forced into resorting to name calling.

These particular atheist groups take the easy way out. That's a fact. I'm sorry you're bothered by it. But that's not my fault. They run ads publicly against Christianity, but let every other religion get a pass. Prove me wrong. Where are the ads mocking Judaism? Where are the ads mocking Islam? Where are the ads mocking Hinduism. For God sake, they have a god with 8 arms!!!! It's not difficult! But it's not about all religions. It's about Christianity. Face facts. You're part of a group that follows political correctness when it comes to denouncing faith. Following the path of least resistence. Now in the face of facts, and reality, I'll save you the time and trouble.

GH: Tripe! Ann Coulter! More tripe!

Thanks. Yep, the keep ignorning the obvious underlying PC issue. Probably on purpose. Because that many people can't all be that dense.

Who's bothered by it? Not me. This is your thread Shady.

Quick question, how is taking on the most dominate group in your country the easy way out?

And thats the crux of the issue, and the point that underscores how useless this thread is. Of COURSE atheists in the west are going focus on the religion and customs that are the everyday norm where they live. Most of them have absolutely no exposure to other religions and customs, a they are a non-factor in their lives.

As an atheist I dont have a huge issue with religious holidays, but if I did Id probably focus on Christmas because of the environment Im immersed it. I dont even know when the Muslim equivalent of that holiday happens.

Atheists in places where Islam is the predominant religion will have an entirely different focus. Like Fariboz Shamshiri for an example, an Iranian that authors a blog called "rotten gods" that has made him very unpopular with some muslims there.

I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger

that's only because atheists are constantly pushing for a more secular society...religion is only tolerable for atheist as long as they have no control on your life, it wasn't always so...

when I was young religion was dominant, buying beer on a sunday? nope...going to pub on a sunday? nope...seeing naked dancing ladies? nope...I even recall having to sneak in to work on a sunday so that some religious wacko wouldn't call the police and report me...

God you're dense. It must be why you live in the Hamilton area. Whether I believe in God has nothing to do with whether atheists take the easy way out, and focus soley on Christianity. My believing or not believing in God has nothing to do with the fact that atheists look for the path of least resistence. They don't promote ads against Islam. They don't promote ads against Judaism. They don't promote ads against Hinduism. Only Christianity. Nice try Einstein.

Let's see...

A pseudoChristian who is really, really,REALLY upset at Atheists because they pee on your Santa Claus and candy canes...

Hmmm....

While the religious want people like me to believe in God and go to church. Stop being a coward by hiding behind your god who you think will protect you. :D

I guess that's your lame dodge of the real issues. Sad.

There are no real issues here, and so nothing to dodge. This thread is mostly just people making fun of your ridiculous notions about atheists.

Cool. Then show me the anti-Hanukkah ads then. So me the mocking of Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc. If there's no issue, then it shouldn't be very difficult. :)

If not. STFU. :)
