The Portland tribune tried for the year to break this story. They interviewed hotel employees, the "victim" who said she would not talk with out a million bucks, they even took an add out and tried to find anyone else who might have the same experience. In the end they concluded all this women wanted was a payday and was in fact lying. It is no national enquirer I know, it is a real paper they does not report on alien abductions but I think they covered the story quite well.

Accept when the AP says "The Enquirer is saying this...." which it is it isn't back up. You will see in MY link to an actual news paper that investigated this for a year they couldn't find a story. They tired and couldn't, the Enquirer just reported the story of a women real papers wouldn't then the papers reported what the Enquirer said. Sorry Shady your source is the enquirer.

Nope. The Police Department that re-opened the case because of new evidence. DNA evidence, hotel video, and audio. Let me guess. The Police Department involved are just undercover Enquirer reporters!

4 year After the fact the police department re opens the case to clear Al Gores name. I know in Shady's America you are guilty till proven innocent. I expect to be the first one to post when they close this case again. Not Shady.

BTW Shady the Police department reopened the case and gave no reason why, where did you get the info of "DNA evidence, hotel video, and audio" was the enquirer because it was not the AP. They report no reason has been given. Shady and his sources for news tabloids. Where is that Palin Story Shady.

Aren't there continuous police investigations going on right now on Mrs. Palin, and wasn't her defense fund for those investigation found in violation of the law? Guilty until proven innocent only if you a Democrat in Shady's world.

The police should investigate every claim even if they are from people who have no evidence and refused over a 4 year period to talk to them, and will only talk to papers if they given them a million dollars. However only a crazy person would jump on those claims as fact unless the police actually find something.

Well I guess a person who gets their news from the enquirer is a little bit off their rocker though.

So the police actually talked about why they opened he case again. Got that Shady the police not facts you just make up out of thin air.

They say they are opening it because when they closed it the first time did not have the authority to do so. There is still however no evidence, the witness still just wants money and the police wont find anything.

I read about "pretty descriptive incidents" in fiction all the time. People are perfectly capable of making such incidents up, or applying something that may have happened in their lives to someone else.

Something seems fishy here to me.

I have no problem at all believing that ANY politician could be guilty of charges like this, and no real opinion on whether Mr Gore is being falsely accused or not.

What I find odd though is that the police would release transcripts of interviews with the accusor to the press. Seems like the normal thing would be to use them in COURT...

I think at this point a reasonable mind has to assume that this is a deliberate smear campaign by the police... whether or not the charges have merit.
