Plus the people on the Bus...

Are you serious? You think people on one bus set the tone for a city of over 8 million people, a nation of over 300 million?

Seems to me you are the one who's overreacting. Big Time.

The terrorist looks like a half retarded ninkumpoop..the law enforcers are also of the same quality..I hope they are keeping themselves amused.

I dunno man, I though he looked pretty cool, with the shades and the ear piece. Kinda like a poster-boy for the Taliban.

Even his name, "Shahzad..." LOL

Ok, I guess were not allowed to talk around here. You don't like it

Looks like all the rich people in the states got totally inbred in the last thirty years..now all we have are stupid officals messing with stupid terrorists...This is what happens when money becomes more important than wisdom and goodness..the empire falls... It is pitiful when you see AMERICAN politicans and law enforcers go on about the terror scare...and worse..You have a former security advisor for Bush..who looks like a bulemic Barbi doll ..giving her opinion on CNN...I guess she learned a lot sitting in the back of the Benz listening to her mom talk about all those nasty poor folks who eat to much starch and go crazy.

What a stupid response. Perhaps when you can't refute what's been said, you should 'stay silent and be thought a fool rather than speak out and remove all doubt.'

I was hoping to provoke you and have a little fun for five minutes. Looks like you don't go for the insult bait as quickly as Bush Cheney. So what do you think will happen once the old guard dies out and who will replace the old way of American thinking?

Yeah like I give a damn what you think of me!

i don't have a problem. I'm enjoying my time here. If you like to get pissed off, thats your thing.

I LIKE THAT....to bad there were not more of you ...who do not seek the approval of everyone. If there were more people who did not pander for acceptance, thing might get done...are you ready to be cut from the herd and be the rugged individual who does not give a damn? Apparently you are.

I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked. I was sure you stayed awake nights worrying about what I think of you. Every time I respond to one of your posts, I think it's because you care so very much what I think of you. Every time you respond to one of my posts, I'm sure it's only because you care immensely what I think of you. And every time I point out how ludicrous your views are, I'm pissed off. Just like a nation of over 300 million people is living in fear. Crapping their drawers. After all, there was that one call made and those people on a bus.......

And I thought your last response was stupid.

Carry on. By all means, keep on believing whatever you need to believe in order to live your life. ;)

OH NO....YOU CALLED HER BABY...not going to work..American woman is difficult to bear bait..I tried to get a reaction by insulting her establishment - she seem not to be a reactionary..which means there is hope for America....good night baby and better kiss and make up.

He reminded me of an urban kid who does not know how to start a camp fire let along make something go boom...yep the shades and the smirk are real cool...give it thirty years in an American industrial style detention facilty and that smile will probably still be stuck on his stupid face...Where are all the intelligent terrorists anyway? And where are all the wise and intelligent American terror fighters...Looks like a stale mate is forming - the stupid rich corporates have it out with the educated NBA peasant boys...hope no one gets hurt when they contend for membership in Idiots International.

Yeah I knew it was a bad move when I wrote it. But I figured, what the heck, I know I'm not getting any, so...

Besides, a man should not be afraid to make mistakes, or say things that others might take in the wrong way. Sometimes I just don't have time to explain it. Sometimes I know, it doesn't matter what I say to the other person, or what point of view I take. They are only looking for faults and weaknesses. So I have no problem giving them sonething real easy to understand. It's good for the digestion...

Now THAT is funny!

US reliance on middle-east oil is overstated. The largest producer of oil for the US market is the US itself, and the second largest is Canada. We might finally make some progress on alternate energy technologies though. Furthermore, middle east countries bombed into submission would resume their supply of oil, much like conquered Iraq.

You're serious about this?

You're serious that it's a good idea for the US to go to war with all the world's Muslims?

Have you thought this one through?

Let me know if this is a joke or not before I take this one apart with a few obvious setbacks that you're probably completely unaware of.

No, I'm not saying it's a good idea. The US has much better things to do than going to war with the world's Muslims. I'm simply pointing out that temporarily losing access to the middle-east oil supply would not be as apocalyptic a scenario as you seemed to indicate.

As per usual - just like the Fort Hood Massacre, the media and law enforcement are assuring us it's not terrorism.

And who has said this?

i haven't heard one law enforcement official OR media outlet making this claim.

I think you're intentionally propagandizing in the worst sense of the word.

"Look how politically correct we are!"....thanks to your invention.

Note how you won't get a response from Seinfeld when you expose his lies. He rarely has the balls to even defend himself.

I wonder how many items you see laying around on any given day? City streets, on buses or terminals.

To me this white styrofoam cooler outside of a hotel means that someone forgot the beer and left it behind. I will call it now and say it's beer.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/07/nypd-investigating-reports-suspicious-package-times-square/

Since the botched attack in Times Square the number of suspicious package calls to the police have shot up by nearly a third, the Wall Street Journal reported. Between Sunday and Wednesday, police checked out 493 suspicious packages, compared with 381 in the same period last year.

Well I think you're overlooking the fact that the Muslim nations (which is beyond the Middle East) don't just supply oil to the US, they supply oil to almost all of the US' major trade partners, and without that oil fueling their economy, the global economy would tank.

I mean gas jumped about $50/barrel when one refinery in Texas went offline a few years ago - what do you think would happen if the US went to war with most of the world's biggest oil suppliers?

It's a lose-lose situation.

There are also some irritating human factors that need to be considered, beyond oil needs for US partners, or whether (in Bonam's words) the US "has better things to do" or not.

You're right, DoP; reasoning is lost on those who want to believe the worst regardless of the reality.
