The Jund Ansar Allah (Army of the Helpers of God) is thought to be linked to al-Qaeda. BBC these types of incidents should confuse those, like wulf123, who paint the situation as black and white, and ignorantly make assertions like any group that resists israel is as religiously and ideologically extreme as groups like the taliban or jund ansar allah. What should be confusing? It is painfully obvious that extremist groups can't get along with each other, let alone the outside world. That some of them are motivated by fundamentalist Islam and others by a more secular form of Jew-hatred hardly matters. That being said, we can cheer Hamas' crackdown on this group. At least, when you have an organization that can assert some marginal level of sovereignty, like Hamas, there is an element of predictability to how to deal with them. Quote
