And just imagine. Somebody in this forum claimed Sarah Palin would be irrelevant.

Worst prediction ever!!!

And stay tuned for her upcoming appearance on Oprah. Where no doubt she'll continue to be irrelevant!

When is it on? Can't wait for that. Palin V. Winfrey. Fantastic.

And it turns out, when the votes are counted, Palin was the kiss of death in what was a solid Republican stronghold. All she does is alienate moderate Republicans and shrink the party. And just imagine. Somebody in this forum claimed Sarah Palin would be relevant.

The Republican candidate probably would have won but who wants a Democrat in sheeps clothing.

The conservative candidate made a good run at it. He was more of an independent. Republicans endorsed him late in the running when their candidate showed her true colours , left and backed the Democratic candidate. The independent in NJ only got 5% of the vote.

I think the people knew that she was more of liberal and voted for the Conservative candidate. It was a very effective campaign and Palin's endorsement helped him a lot. Had there been another week to get to know Hoffman I think he would have won.

All water under the bridge now.

They were Republican, at least claiming to be Republican. Sarah never backed the Republican candidate be cause she had no right to call herself a Republican. She backed an unknown independent Conservative. It's amazing he almost won. But go ahead and gloat.

that's a winning strategy for Republicans. Ostracize the moderates and let the far-right whackos dictate the agenda. Keep it up!

What do you mean by the "far-right" whackos"?

Being for "limited" or "small" government is not a part of the far-right ideology.

The Republicans seem to be embracing the idea of small government as they shed left wing liberals like Dede Scozzafava and keep the moderates.

LOL I love how you bring it down to government but forget the hate for gays, taking away womens rights, and helping to sustain a health care system that kills Americans. Yep the far right whackos always bring it down to more or less government and let the real issues slip between the cracks knowing people wont for them if it is framed that way.

PS the question will always be framed that way.

Excuse me but far right whackos are for big government like yourself. They are a kind of socialist. Anyone that is for limited government is not a "far-right whacko".

Really, who's proposing hate for gays? What are women's rights and why don't I have them? As for, sustaining a health care system that kills Americans, I don't think that could ever be sustained if it were indeed true they know it needs reform but not to be replaced by a government run system.

No. The American dream does not include big government. It is up to the individual and if one has the dream tha government should look after him he shouldn't be living in America.
