This Child solider thing is a cop out , a reason to give this young man a hope of a normal life....sorry the courts have already decided he was not a child soldier....he does not fit into the the defination set out by inter national law and the UN.....try again.... As for no power over his actions thats another cop out....he and his buddies could have left Afghan or at least the combat zone at any time....lets all wake up here he was 15 at the time....in Afghan he is considered an adult and all that comes with that....NO pwer over what he does....is bullshit does your 15 year old have any power over what he or she does.....do they know what is right and wrong.... He's a terrorist plain and simple, and nothing is going to change that....I do think he should have his day in court...and i do think he should answer for his crimes.....just like any other minor here in Canada charged with serious adult crimes.....there should be no freebees....and we should not be setting a presidence to give out freebees to anyone commiting a serious offence.... Stop making them - and selling them to the highest bidder - our arms dealers need to be regulated...as of now they are pirates acting as privateers - it's wrong - no child or any civliian or soldier needs to walk about with his genitals missing along with a leg... These things kill long after the conflict - it would be like having a weapon that is used in a domestic dispute - that once it's over - every last person that enters the vacant house will suffer the left over evil - stop making them - and get control of chemicals that are used for high explosives - America had better flex the nuke muscle - they don't need small arms..I would like to see some international rhetoric.........................some tough talk - from all nuclear nations - like " Hey - we are not sending troops - we will nuke you...let good old fashioned ultimate threatening come into play - that would give them something to do.
