And Away Goes Trouble

Recommended Posts

Looks like our overzealous government employee has received her just reward for the Joe Plumber Affair. I love a story with a happy ending.....kinda like the kid who was rocking the Pepsi vending machine.

Department of Job and Family Services Director Helen Jones-Kelley said in a statement accompanying her resignation that she won't allow her reputation to be disparaged and that she is concerned for her family's safety.

"This decision comes after a time of pause, in which I realize that I continue to be used as a political postscript, providing a distraction from urgent state priorities," she said in her statement.

She could not be reached for additional comment Wednesday night.

Gov. Ted Strickland suspended Jones-Kelley for a month without pay after the Ohio Inspector General's office found in November that she improperly used state computers to find personal information on Samuel Wurzelbacher. The investigation also found that she conducted improper political fundraising activity for now President-elect Barack Obama.

Help me out here. Wasn't he the guy who complained that he would wind up paying more taxes because he earned over $250,000 in his plumbing business, and then it turned out he was lying through his teeth, was an uneducated, unlicenced plumber making $40k per year without a hope of EVER making anywhere near $250,000 per year, but still thought the idea of taxing rich people was somehow vaguely "COMMONIST".

I knew McCain truely had lost when 'Joe the Plumber' showed up. That is the trouble playing to the lowest common denominator. You're left with low cards if you don't manage a straight flush.

Sounds about right.

However, this little stain is in trouble for using her position to improperly access someone's private information and then disclosing that private information to the media.

"she won't allow her reputation to be disparaged" ... huh. If people don't want their reputations to be disparaged, they should probably not act like scumbags in the first place.

Had she done this to Kimmy the Construction Worker instead of Joe the Plumber, she'd be out of some teeth as well as out of work.

Right.....Joe The Plumber is going to get a nice settlement when the dust settles from this debacle:

Wow, it's a good thing you asked for help. Joe the plumber is a regular guy, who had the audacity to ask the messiah, Lord Barack Obama, peace be upon him, a tough question. Uneducated? How so? unlicensed? You don't need a license for residential plumbing in Ohio, only industrial plumbing. And he was looking to start or buy his own business, which would make a gross income of $250,000 a year. And Obama's Democrat operatives in the Ohio government decided to illegally search his background for dirt.

Apparently for Dems, having government conduct illegal searches on regular citizens for political reasons is just fine, but when Bush wants to conduct wiretapping of domestic and foreign terrorists, he's "shredding the constitution."

Exactly. Thanks to Democrat operative's illegal behavior, Joe will have plenty of money to buy or start his business. How ironic!

Looks like Joe was looking for a handhout all along. It is quite obvious his employment is going very well. He did not make enough being a 'spokesman' for McCain?

Shady

You are wrong here. The company he works (or used to work for) did have a license for plumbing. You cannot do work without being license or work for a company that is license provided that you are working on the apprenticeship program to become certified. Industrial OR residential. They are not called building codes for nothing.

Not sure how it works in Ohio, but do you need a building permit in order to make modifications to the home?

Passing the Business and Law Exam is required to be licensed.

Required to have prior approval from the State Board before testing.

Have 5 years documentable experience in the classification desired or have been an engineer with 3 years of business experience in the construction industry.

In addition to the $25.00 license fee, individuals must also send proof of $500,000 minimum contractor liability insurance
