Left wing hypocrisy

Recommended Posts

I don't know that this is true. I've come from a fairly middle-class family that's doing fairly well for itself. Maybe the people who don't own computers or don't currently have access to the internet would love to argue with you, but they can't. If your access to society depends on your ability to spend money on certain things, it's hard to become educated or participate in the debate.

Bullocks. Robert Herjavec. Came to Canada with 20 bucks and is now a multi millionaire. Workers in the oil patch don't have much of an education and can make a fortune providing they're smart enough. There is no oppression in Canada on poor people.

socialism does not have to limit opportunity or freedom..... and usually someone who is socialist nowadays is usually someone who is socially liberal..

socialist ideals are anything from universal health care... to giving workers shares in the company... to nationalizing industry...

You are taking the extreme socialism and labeling it as generic socialism.

But socialism does limit opportunity. It punishes people from succeeding. If you succeed you get nailed with taxes. Taxes that can be used to hire workers and grow business and spend money.

Canadian style universal health care is poison, private people aren't allowed to open practices and help people. Workers aren't given shares in a company, they work for them - they are earned. Nationalizing industry is complete and utter poison. I have no problem with gov't starting industry, as a taxpayer I get a return on investment, but stealing industry from private firms is flat out evil.

Really? So as a doctor I'm free to charge what ever I want and patients have the opportunity to pay extra for special service?

And can I take my school taxes and use them in the school of my choice? Will I have the freedom to leave my wealth to my children, will they have the opportunity to grow from what I have amassed or will the state confiscate 60%

Textbook definition of socialism is state ownership & distribution of wealth.

If we take a look at all of our historical governments, how can you say that's something you want? Money is pissed away on nothing at every corner, for a massive tax burden.

Yes some things like health care & welfare are absolutely necessary, but everything.....? You're stretching.

What's the textbook definition of Communism as a political idea... and how was it implemented in the USSR.... yet they still called it communism and people still use it as the example of what happens when you have communism.

I'm a strong social conservative but if we as a country did everything I wanted to do, the country would fail but if we did everything that the left wanted to do, the country would also fail.

We, as a country need good ideas for policy from both sides in order to be successful.

Sure you don't mean an optometrisct? Opthamology servives (laser ttherapy excluded) are covered by OHIP....

Hey, one can be confused cant he?

An eye doctor who deals with macular degeneration and that sort of stuff, whatever he is called....I should know...but I dont.

Anyhow, my mother sees one, and since I take her to some of her appts, I can see what she pays.So far I think she has had 3 shots in her left eye at $1500 a pop. IIRC, she was offered to go on some "plan", but it was limited in funds and she would not want to have taken the fund money if it meant someone else who might have limited money could not get what she had done, so she declined.(she might not be so charitable now w the market)

There are a ton more things she pays for that are not covered.

IMO, lots of specialists have fees above and beyond OHIP, but if you cant afford it, they find a way.

These things were removed by the Liberals, the same ones that sit in Queens Park now. More taxes for less services.

Nope.

Changes do not affect ophthalmology or specialist services for patients of any age with medical conditions or diseases affecting the eyes (cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration…etc), but they are by referral only and require a letter of referral from our office.

No you weren't. You were quoting Guyser. Either you are dishonest or just plain dumb.

Mind you, I suppose it doesn'n have to be either or....

Why do you so rabidly attack me Dancer?

You are constantly trying to discredit me, why?

I should probably just not respond to you at all. When I do it gives you credibility, ah well.

I enjoy reading your personal barbs, it entertains me.
