Topaz Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I had a friend who worked for the Florida Tabs....Midnight Sun, The Examiner etc etc....He told me they subscribed to every wires service....and would take an innocuous news item and turn it into the Baby who ate HIS TWIN.Alex Jones is the Midnight Sun for the Tinfoil set. I suppose you feel the same way about the former Art Bell radio program now hosted by George Noory?? The last week of Sept. he had a guy on there that said something was going to happen and it would affect the whole world and it would start around Oct 5th and go about 5 months. Well the US economy took a nose-dive and is still drowning. Another website is www.tomflocco.com He kinda not posting too much because he, like Jones has had his life threaten. Quote

GostHacked Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Umm...no not just like....You would have to know a bit about the grocery store tabs to understand.....think 2 headed wolf boy.... Tabloids cannot be put into the same category as MSM outlets. Or maybe tabloids here in Canada differ from the tabloids in the US. However, I do think they are garbage in most aspects. And people buy them for that. Tabloids mostly focus on dumb things, like two hollywood stars getting a divorce. So if you are depending on those as a important/primary news source, then it is not I who needs to understand. These tabloids are right at the cash for a quick buy. Reason why chocolate bars are in the same area. Impulse buying. If your grocery/corner store has a magazine rack it is not near the cash. Although news papers are sold a the front or cash of the store, they are in a different spot than the tabloids. Topaz I suppose you feel the same way about the former Art Bell radio program now hosted by George Noory?? I have managed to catch a couple shows from Art Bell. But never really followed him, could not get to him through the airwaves, and never really bothered to check out the website for webcasts. The other thing I kept hearing about was this 'October Surprise'. I guess people where thinking another terror attack was about to happen. Instead it was a financial crisis. Surprised? Quote
Oleg Bach Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Why would you want Mexico on your union? That would be like asking the local crack dealer to move into your house and sprinkle dope on your kids morning oat meal. Why would you want to have a union with Washington? These guys just sent off 40 thousand men and woman to needlessly die in Iraq..not to mention thousands that returned mentally ill with missing limbs - all for weapons of mass destruction that the CIA reported did NOT exist....Why would a woman or a man marry a pimp or a whore? Just not a good idea. Quote
Michael Hardner Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I suppose you feel the same way about the former Art Bell radio program now hosted by George Noory?? Yes, definitely the same type of person. It's a cottage industry with a clientele of misfits. I listen to the show for a laugh from time to time. Somebody called in once to say he "owned a bigfoot". "Where'd you get it ?" "I'd rather not say." "Will you give us a hint ?" Pause. "I built it. Out of... spare parts." The last week of Sept. he had a guy on there that said something was going to happen and it would affect the whole world and it would start around Oct 5th and go about 5 months. He has one of those guys on pretty much every night. It's like a reverse musical chairs game for wingnuts: when the music stops, the last guy who was on the show predicting disaster is a genius. I would like to add, the only other time I have listened to Art Bell, was in an FPS game called Prey from HumanHead Studios and 3DR. It was about alien abduction and I was listening to the 'show' at certain places in the game. It was pretty funny. Quote

Oleg Bach Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Art Bell is a strange mixture of informative truth and stupfying non-sense - the minute they get a UFOlogist on - that's when I wonder if Mr. Bell is working for the powers that be and is paid to infect the American people with stupidity. GostHacked Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Which is my point...I was comparing them to Art Bell or Alex Jones, not to MSM. Would you consider news blogs to be in the same category? I can see how you would throw Alex Jones in that group, however he does reference more MSM articles than most 'tabloid' style papers/shows/blogs. And now they even write articles themselves, but at least backing it up with other articles from MSM and the like. Jones is always 'on'. Getting his message out to the point he is frothing at the mouth most of the time. It is annoying sometimes, but overall, I like his messages. Quote
M.Dancer Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Would you consider news blogs to be in the same category? I consider blogs to be a category of their own...a medium of their own if you wish. Some news blogs are very good...they tend to be written by real journalists..some are way out there... Huston Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Trade pacts probably aren't worth the paper their written on when they're signed by countries that still maintain internal inter-provincial trade barriers.Don't get me wrong, I really do suscribe to the idea 'the freer the trade the freer the people'. I just don't see that being encouraged for human people. This SPP sounds more like another agreement amongst corprations ...folks just like us but more so...or so it would seem. It is about corporations. If it is connected to Bill C-51, from what I have heard or proclaimed, that it would make it even easier for food and health rehulation favouring big pharma, big agri, big biochema, and some more bigs that have help impoverish farmers, and consumers. We have QUEBEC.....Do you think that Quebec would allow it self to be merged into the Pan American mafia? I DOUBT IT! Quebec if pushed would eat Mexico and America alive..............no body pushes the Quebec guys around...nobody! Quebec would make the quagmire of Afghanstan and Iraq look like a picnic in the park....Quebec is dangerous because they have maintained their culture - they are OUR Taliban if neccesary...as far as Alex Jones in concerned - he is doing well financially...need I say more? Alex Jones' 12 year old nephew cracks the case? Yes, you can find the phrase "New World Order" in many books. It's a phrase commonly used to describe the post-cold-war international community. Finding the phrase "New World Order" in a textbook does not constitute evidence of the kind of world government conspiracy that Alex Jones thinks exists. Ok, so just supposing that there was a super-secret world government that controls everything. Would they let an elementary school text-book blow their cover? The same global conspiracy that goes to any length to hide its existence and cover its tracks somehow lets a school textbook expose its secrets? It's almost like some people are born with a gene that disables critical thinking. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

You must be one of them, since ad hominem is a sign of bad critical thinking. Oh, and according to Alex Jones, the NWO order is not some sercet, they are quite open about it. i think you need to follow Alex Jones some more before you construct more strawmen about his views. But hey, you have critical thinking. You do solid research on these people that you put down. Quote
Michael Hardner Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) Listening to Coast-to-Coast on a semi-regular basis has enlightened me quite a bit about these types of people. The Conspiracy Types and David Icke followers represent a new strata of society - the adult kid who loves to read scary comic books that might actually be true. Usually these adult comics and stories revolve around the New World Order and the attendant controversies. Topaz Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Here`s a thought... maybe if the people around Noah had believe a flood was going to happen they could have survive the flood, maybe if the whistleblowers for 911 had had screamed louder and if Bush had done his job when warned of planes running into the WTB, thousand of people wwould have been alive today. In this world we live in today, one must have more of an open mind or we could find ourselves into situations worse than 911. The new host of the old Art Bell, does talk about UFO`s but most of it, is about are they really here and what does the US government know about it. George talks more about what Americans should know about like the war and the economic situation. Alex Jones also comes on his show and talks. Its news that you don`t hear on regular news but some of it has later down the road. I only thing I would say to people who don`t believe in the NAU.... then just watch the governments of both countries, watch changes they do to make things easier to bring both countries together like laws, legal tender, the military is already coming together. Michael Hardner Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 There is a limit to how much one should support utter insanity in the name of 'free speech'. The tobacco companies are not even allowed to talk about their product on the air. Unfortunately, no one can make the case that making up silly nonsense about aliens, and the Bush family being shape shifters causes lung cancer. It definitely does, however, undermine faith in government. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner

One would hope that the corporate backers and designers of the SPP are as forward thinking as you seem to think. Personally I doubt it. I think they are harassed, panicky, not particularily intelligent, and very short sighted. They don't even look at four years like politicians for their future. They look at three months and get blown away by the potential ups and downs. They aren't evil except perhaps in Hindsight, and probably believe that if they are rich enough they'll be able to stand even when it is only a mudball and scream " I have enough money to get on the next flight to somewhere better." I don't even wish them good luck. Quote
