  1. Another red flag, and yet we are lead to believe this is a crises, a global crises at that, and year after year we have failed to make our own climate change goals...It is hard to get behind the whole liberal/NDP Carbon tax policies along with the red light flashing in the background to remind everyone it is a crises when our own government refuses to take it seriously...
  2. Your grasping at thin air here, this climate change failure belongs to the NDP/Liberals period....they set the polices, they were in charge, they are at fault....stop trying to pin this failure on someone else....
  3. Even the minister of climate change is now saying that it is time to drop that policy....i find it very strange for the guy that championed our climate change policies now saying it is time to reverse them....What does that say about our current policy ? what it say about the environment minister ?...or is this all about politics, it's not popular so lets' drop it....and screw climate change....Or is it just showing us the liberals true colors Guilbeault open to abandoning carbon tax as he endorses Mark Carney | Watch
  4. He was proud enough to sign on to unlimited liability for this very country...he sacrificed more than the average Canadian and did if for this nation and the Queen ....what was it again that you did....I have never meet Dougie, what i do know is he is a comrade in arms, he belongs to one of the finest Regiments this nation has produced, with a past going back before the the Boer war... He has meet the highest standards of any free world Infanteer could meet, so much so that i would line up next to any RCR and trust that individual with my life.......Those facts alone speak volumes to me and those that served in the RCR....
  5. Well then i guess the majority has spoken....PP has already said that is what the notwithstanding clause is for, and jam that pipeline through....just like they did in BC...
  6. You and others on here that are sticking with the liberal plan to stop tariffs are betting on the lame horse...I mean just look at the liberals track record since they have been in office, what have they really done to unite the country, are they leaving the country better than when they got it...Do you really think justin has our best interest in mind, i mean the fact he could have retired long ago giving his party time to have a decent leadership campaign, but instead he stuck them in the back and gave them almost no time at all... And this is the guy you're throwing your support behind the same guy voted as the worst PM ever in our history... and now because one premiere decides this is not the best course of action she is a traitor... I can tell you this once the tariffs are in place and the liberal government puts everything on the table....if we decide to put tariffs on energy, including power and oil and gas...Canada will soon find out why this liberal policies are the wrong ones...
  7. Thats not the details....If the temperature was to increase by 3 degrees, the global costs would be 1.9 and 3.1 % of global GDP... Perhaps i'm reading it wrong. Not to mention Carney has said price on carbon is not enough, if we are to reach our goals, he has also said he would also cancel the carbon price, that's what the people want but he is going to replace it with something else that would meet our goals... It should also be noted this is the path we are on now, look at the net cost 15 -37 trillion per year, or 15-37 % of global GDP.....not 1.9 or 3.1 % as Michael suggested, which is the price would we pay as the result of not doing anything for climate change....just mitigating the effects....... As for What Canada is spending, sends a couple red flags up, 1) it is not much of a crises...2) since we have not met any of our goals we have set for ourselves again reinforces that idea that this is not a Crises, but rather a distraction for all the rest of the globes problems...And canada needs a lot of distractions...3) it also signals that our current policies on climate change are weak, 4) Canadians don't really care a whole lot about climate change. 5) what do you think the average Canadian is going to say if it costs 10,000 dollars per year just on fighting climate change....
  8. FP has taken two very prominent climate experts which both agree that perhaps Canada maybe even most of the globe are not on the right track, spending way more than we need to...after decades of climate research we still have not got it right.... Bjorn Lomborg: Climate spending costs the world more than climate change does
  9. Does not matter who wins the liberal party leadership, it is only going to be temporary at the very least, no one is going to remember this point in history, 5 years from now....What they will remember is who was the worst PM ever....
  10. There is a basket underneath, two horses, two dogs, a parrot , and one huge beaver....all specially trained to sniff out illegal drugs and immigrants, not to mention to do it in the air, land and sea....let's not forget on the ice as well...
  11. OK thats your opinion, meanwhile our government was doing what exactly, she did not like the direction our government was going in, it's a weak position, from weak leadership, that today is irrelevant, everyone knows it....i don't want justin to have anything to do with this crises, nor any of his dead beat staff...Trump smells blood in the water... Her job is to do what exactly....sit back and let a failed liberal government save the day....i don't think so... All PP has to do is show a little leadership and Canadians will come flocking to him, we as a nation have been starved of leadership under the liberals....The liberals have set the bar pretty low...my pet gopher could make those standards.... Well for the next decade or so, the left is going to get a whole lot meaner, if they ever want to run the country again...
  12. That's because as a nation we are divided, and that the liberal government played a huge roll in that... When Canadians start thinking about their country first, then call me, i put my country first for 35 years during my service in our military, I think i earned the right to ask questions, or even criticise our government and our nation's direction.... I can count on one hand the times the majority of Canadians stepped up and sacrificed anything for this country...And now we are panicking over the consequences we put in place do to interests elsewhere....or should i say lack of action on our part....Sorry, good luck with all of that.... And NO i will not get over the guy that has brought so much destruction to this nation, with so many extreme left policies, that makes no sense at all....he will be remembered as the worst PM in our history, and i will do my part to ensure Thats the way he is remembered...
  13. Hard not to be a talking point with execs getting big bonus and regular employees being let go... besides it will level the paying field, and CBC will have to rely on profits like all the other media outlets.
  14. wins what exactly the leadership to a failed party that will have to be rebuilt from the ground up...and he wins all that for a mere 350,000 k...what a deal.... Courts just decided that Justin proroguing parliament is invalid...we will have to see what happens on monday, which could see a non confidence vote, and an election way sooner than we thought....Carneys rope just got a whole lot shorter....
  15. Well i guess you will have to shorten your list as CBC will be defunded, and won't be able to make it on the free market and all those tv execs won't be getting all those taxpayer raises might have to close their doors...but hey you still got CTV...
  16. What exactly makes her a traitor ? Omar Khadr was a traitor, and we gave him 10 million dollars, and fixed up his family for life.....Because that is how we roll..... is it because she does not want to get behind a liberal backed fight that has a short period of life....at least until the conservatives get in...BTW her job is to overlook and protect Albertain jobs and their welfare....To be honest every premier has picked fights with Ottawa she is not alone in this matter...Liberal inaction has brought us to this point in time...CBSA has for years been telling us , the media and government that our border security sucks...Now trump tells us fix it or face tariffs and everyone got a knot on "hey you can't push us around" well if you had looked after your own house they would not need to tell us anything right.... As for Canadians who feign shock or dismay, where were you when CBSA was telling everyone about the border, or even where were you when everyone was complaining about our entire security apparatus....US governments have for decades been asking us nicely to fix our own problems, and now that someone is slapping us in the face and telling us to fix it or else everyone is pissed ...how dare they....tell us what to do...WE let this happen, and now WE are going to have to fix it....NOOO...we got to pick a fight with the biggest guy on the planet....because we are id!ots...and now the liberals are pointing fingers at anyone that sh!t will stick to, Thats their signature trademark.... You and Michael fell for it hook line and sinker....pretending we are united is a joke, pretending this issue is going to bring us together is another joke....a change in government is going to bring us together ...
  17. So BC is refining light crude, is it for it's own use or export....what drove the closure of the other refineries? Why not build a heavy or bitumen refinery to solve BC 's lack of production capacity....instead of buying refined US products... I'm not playing anyone's music, but trying to understand the whole oil and gas issue in BC...it sounds like oil and gas were not wanted in BC and moved. I'm not a trump fan, but i also see the reality, trump sees us as weak and divided ( that's before smiths actions)and he is going to take advantage of that...Just ask yourself has Justins liberals had the best interests of this country for the last 10 years, i don't think so, and i for one don't want any liberal to fix this mess they created... only to be changed with a new government....I don't trust them...our position is weak, we depend on the US for more than they depend on us...our government is weak to start with, and this Tariff situation makes us weaker...Canadians have no confidence in the government...and now the courts have decided Justin prorogue action is invalid....Not justified, so we may be heading to an election sooner rather than later....which means everything for the liberals, the timeline just got shorter....I'm not sure what happens after this , since it is the first in our history...
  18. I'm confused , i thought the TMX was pushing light and heavy crude through the pipelines along with processed fuels...surely BC refineries can process heavy and light crude....Bitumen is the elephant in the room, with only few refineries being able to handle it, none of which are in BC.... Does BC not use any of the process fuels coming in on the pipeline if not why? why is BC relient on fuels from the US, when there is a pipeline pushing Canadian product....
  19. Well there are refinery jobs, jobs at the terminals, some one has to look after the pumping stations, etc....and then there is the supply of refined gas and diesel, and jet fuel, all of which is at a savings to you, more jobs and income for bc..I think opposition was just people trying to get their share of the pie...I think this is an example of not supporting Alberta in it's time of need... I thought there was a huge natural gas refinery being built in kitimat costing billions in investments, which also will provide more jobs and income for BC, not to mention be better for the climate. once again i think everyone has a hand out and wants it share...
  20. Why, can you give us a couple of examples of when the ROC sacrificed anything for the oil and gas sector....other than buying a pipeline that BC did not want in the first place, 'which was the entire problem" ...I mean Canada talks a good game about one for all and all for one, but lets face it we are the most divided we have ever been, Nobody has stood up for the oil and gas provinces when justin brought in all those policies to restrict drilling, ands exploration, not to mention all the climate change policies that work against them...Why , because Canadians don't care about anything outside their own bubbles.... And now everyone wants to play together it just does not make sense...Smith is looking after her provinces interests, and justin is using this gap between Alberta and canada to his own advantage to divide us even further...
  21. your right about how much was completed, i misread my source my bad,
  22. He is the same liberal as we have faced over the last 10 years....mark Carney has been advising justin for a couple years now....he is justin just has a different face...
  23. So your saying that BC does have a bitumen refinery. As i said i could not find anything about one being completed...I was also under the assumption that heavy crude is not the same as bitumen...Irving has said they could refine heavy crude but not bitumen...
