Yes it is for a while any ways....Yes Carney was an advisor period end of story....He put it in his resume, not me...And your twisting me words around , thats not what i said but don't pretend carney did not have a role to play... Again twisting my words around, liberals have a long laundry list of left wing conspiracies, and adopting DEI,climate change politics....playing on fear is their go to.... I don't give much thought to the other side to be honest, as the left don't give a shit about any side other than themselves. ...it has been this way for years. Crux of the problem is Canadians gave the liberals another 4 year term, after everything they did to mess the country up...pretending Carney is going to fix it, when he was part of the problem ...is insane...You and everyone that voted for carney should read his book, and then tell me if you made the right choice....I personally don't like his policies, along with millions of other canadians....

Should someone unelected lead a political party?
Army Guy replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
OK who ? are you still off your meds.... -
I guess those from the UK were shilling for the conservative party as well...just a question how much influence does tim Macklem have on our current economic status, do we blame him for it's current state or is that belong to the finance minister........he is taking credit for a dead guys work how much class does he have to do that....

Should someone unelected lead a political party?
Army Guy replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We just had mark Carney, take the head seat of the liberal party and of PM of the entire country....without being elected....I guess those rules are just for the liberals right.... -
There was never any viable threat to our nation. be in militarily or economic, just some windbag making noises and it seems a lot of canadians wetting themselves and fell for all of it, and Carney took advantage of that........Once the trade agreement is resigned....everything will be back to normal.... The moment everyone is waiting for is what this new agreement looks like and what we lose in the process....Carney is not going to look good, he has already made promises to quebec, etc...the best outcome would be to end all tariffs between our nations, but that would mean giving up dairy cartels, etc....but would also mean no more tariffs on lumber, oil and gas etc... I doubt very much there will be much cooperation unless it is with some of the promises they stole from the Conservatives..the country's is to divided to cooperate, thanks to our liberal brothers...I'm hoping we return to the center, and drop all these hard leftist ideas, like DEI, etc.

YA they did forget, as did you, somehow PP actions as you describe them, did more damage to the country than anything Justin did under Carney advisory role...it was like those years did not matter one bit....what they stuck to was the fact they disliked PP in his role as official opposition, his aggressive tones and holding the liberals accountable somewhat, I say that as nothing they did was someone held accountable....everything on your list i could give you dozens of examples of the liberals doing the exact same thing... but you knew that and forgot to add that into your choice to just dump PP...all the while by not holding the liberals to the same standards... I hope that liberal voters do not end up regretting their vote, and i do hope carney has success in making some much needed changes in this country....i also hope he leaves all his net zero dreams in his closet... one thing for sure is he will not unite this country, but instead divide it further, with liberal policies left over from Justins period. ie gun control, carbon taxes, C-69, etc... Canadians do not vote with their heads ,but rather with tradition, or their hearts , rarely do they look at what is offer or the policies that make up their platform...Which PP beat carney hands down, "my Opinion" in fact they were so good he made them a lot his own...

Couldn't have been that upset, they did almost win a majority, i think most Canadians have really short memory spans....I mean same party, same MP's, and then Carney as an advisor....and somehow Justin wore that entire failure....i mean come on some of these guys have to step up and own some of that failure.... I'd also say the media, polling companies, trump, and Carneys staff, the short election timings also had a role all had a role in there somewhere, of influencing events that lead to the destruction of PP campaign... minor as they may be they still played a role....PP campaign manager, even PP himself did most of the destruction. hopeful he sees that and decides to retire and let someone else take the reins....

No you go ahead and have your day in the sun, mock away i'm sure that's what some conservatives would be doing right now if the situation was reversed... To suggest that after 8 years of liberal rule, a lot of that rage posting was unjustified is just you making excuses to throw shade....Liberal actions over 8 plus years deserve to be highlighted when they can be... While it is a liberal win, Carney is going to find out just how hard it is to govern as a minority government, making some of his plans and promises not possible without selling his sole to once again the NDP... Not sure if the next NDP leader is going to see this as an opportunity seeing what happened to the last NDP leader...but who knows... Not sure how PP can govern over a party without a presence in parliament, and will he take over another riding not sure if thats the right choice either.... he has had his chance and unfortunately he has failed to form government....perhaps he will see that and take that walk into the wilderness, the next question would be WHO will replace him...i think it is to early for that right now. but the search should at least begin

What happens next to the Conservative Party?
Army Guy replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Must of resonated with a good number of conservatives considering the liberals were expected to run away with this election with a majority... according to the polls/ media...He did tweak his message in the late campaign, obvious not well enough to make a huge difference... The problem is Carney now has a minority, lets see what he does with it....or are we going back to the polls... -
Final predictions thread for 2025 election?
Army Guy replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He is a banker, he is not sticking around for official opposition leader pay check when he could be earning millions elsewhere. He has held many political seats....You don't like him, majority of Canadians are going to vote for change....and change is not carney. -
Politics is nothing more than opinions, and politics is what drives our laws, and rules of behavior...so yes opinions matter. hence why we don't have the death penalty, because people thought the justice system it was not 100 % accurate or infallible.

Final predictions thread for 2025 election?
Army Guy replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Meaning he is not sticking around, and will cut and run he is in it to pad his resume, nothing more......Yes thats true PP has been a politician his entire career, something he is good at. Your putting your money on a banker , who knows nothing about politics, and as a banker has received medicor job performance reviews...and is more interested in climate change than running the country...after the country already said loud and clear they don't like any carbon taxes they are a huge failure, accomplish very little , Canadians want nothing to do with them... -
Yes it is a punishment for a crime they commited, the whole concept with our justice system and our laws....it is also removing this person from society so this does not happen again....something you can not control or guarantee
-
And if those killed where your family, would you still hold this line of thinking, 25 years per life taken...end of story...no excuses....

Final predictions thread for 2025 election?
Army Guy replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm going out on a limb here and predict a Conservative majority, with younger Canadians showing up in force to make the difference.......because they want change not the same stuff we have had over the last 8 plus years...as for the polls well i'm hoping for the same results the Last American election had and Thats what we have with Carney, the same party, same MP's , same sh!t.... Wrong question what is Carney going to do if he loses, think he will stick around....his bags are already packed... -
A serious mental health problem that's what you call it....on all sides, why is it that the courts think this is OK, there are people dying while waiting on treatment and these types of surgeries are taking up valuable health care times and openings...then there is the issue of the taxpayer paying this bill...taking up funds from our healthcare system that is critically short. Hey if you want 3 viginas and 6 penises then that is your choice, and you should find the funds and do that on your own, or find a rich sugar momma or daddy......
-
Your a perfect example of why the left and right side can not have a conversation, everything boils down to a screaming fest, with your hair on fire..... with nothing ever getting done, the story of Canada and the left....All one has to do is look into the liberals past 8 plus years, what is it we as a nation got done...other than our huge debt, and a few social programs... Our country is so divided, and we refuse to listen to any other group other than our own....Carney says he is going to unite us...I don't think that is possible....and i'm starting to think it may not be worth the effort....
-
Have you seen how the average Canadian treats the homeless, with disdain or worse...those in power are are a true reflection of the people they serve....And most Canadians answer to this issue is on health care or police as they dont want to see them or have them in their communities. Like anything in Canada if it does not effect their person bubble they are not interested...

Why I will vote for Liberals on Monday?
Army Guy replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's not going to be enough....Liberals will always vote liberal regardless of what they do or have done....we have had more 3 consecutive terms of Justins liberals and after all that he damaged they still are turning out in large numbers....you can't fix stupid.... -
Why I will vote for Liberals on Monday?
Army Guy replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
NOT even close to the 630 bil Carney has said he is going to spend....and if we use your logic carneys will be much larger than 630. bil....how can you substantiate that amount of spending, someone is going to have to pay off that in the future....the liberal money tree was picked clean from the last liberal government.... same liberals , same MP's same game plan ....nothing has changed except maybe Canadians got a lot more gullible... -
Why I will vote for Liberals on Monday?
Army Guy replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
DId you just wake up from a coma, the last Liberal government has spent more than all governments before them , by doubling the debt....do you tell your kids the same thing, when they want something you can't afford....atleast your helping your kids....thats the problem with liberals they always have their hand out when they don't need it....tell us what did the last Liberal government give "you" for the 700 bil they spent.... -
Why I will vote for Liberals on Monday?
Army Guy replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Again more liberal talk....PP has gone to great lengths not to sound like trump...that's what you want to hear thats what your going to hear....you've made your choice, and it sounds like you think he is sounds like trump...others make choices based on platforms, and moral character....others make thiers based on how people sound...
