Well it is on the terrorist list of places to vist....that and every Canadian diplomat....But really when has the will of the poeple ever been taken into effect in regards to this mission....

I think it would be a draw.....you know we don't have space for 2 million prisoners....let alone the manpower to gaurd them all....besides i heard the white house just got a new paint job.... and you know you won't like our surrender terms.....were giving you Quebec, and northern New Brunswick....but were keeping the poutine recipe .... and we'll throw in the NDP, Bloc, and green parties to boot.....

I did say it "may" be getting bigger, and while not written in stone, i'd say the jello mold has already been poured....how do you explain the expansion in construction....Why build more if there is already a firm date for extraction set.... Public documents tendered this month on a government website indicates Defence Construction Canada wants to buy 400 more beds at the Kandahar Air Field by next year, at a cost of $5-million, with an option to build 400 more. The documents don't state who the beds are for.

I think he travelled to Afghanistan through normal routes... his father was part of a cell.... he's on video taking part in something bad but I haven't seen any evidence that he's committing crimes against the "Afghani state".... Khadr has not been shown to be either a criminal or a terrorist yet. Lets take a second look shall we, he was there in a major fire fight that killed serveral Afghanis soldiers and one american....that can't be good in any law book.... A tape was found in the bombed out ruins....it shows Omar and his buddies , yes the same ones killed in the fire fight mentioned above, making IED's, and then going out and planting them at night in the american sector....clearly a terrorist activties, in Aghanistan, and ISAF laws and ROE....for this activity ISAF soldiers can engage and use deadly force without warning....Thats got to say something about the serverity of the crime.... Those mines that where planted where uncovered by American EOD teams the next day....Now thats just to funney On the tape Omar and his merry band of dead terrorist buddies.... they brag about killing american soldiers, and ISAF soldiers, about collecting a bounty set by the Taliban for every ISAF soldier killed.....clearly shows intent.... lets not forget the smoking AK 47 found just feet away from young mr Omar.... Watch the tape it was on Utube for the longest time.....see if you want this young man living in your sub divsion... Give me a break....and stop trying to make excuses for this terrorist.....these kids are involved in the real thing at ages of 8 or younger.....you think thats what they do to pass thier day, to replay a tramatic event ...let me ask you this do you replay a tramatic event in your life.... these kids see war close and personal everyday....the last thing they do is play it in thier spare time.....Here try my coffee it's not spiked....

I don't think i've judged anyone ...But hate is a strong word....i don't hate Omar, Everthing he and his terrorist buddies do in the name of thier cause goes agains't every moral code and set of values i have have.....I glad our nation stepped up to the plate in Afghan...and i'm Honored to be a part of it... And what of the other kids in Canada that have been charged with Adult crimes, and are now being faced with Adult sentences....where is there voices, where is thier lobby groups.....And yet we have a Kid here that has commited perhaps the most serious crime of all, Treason to his country, possiable murder, definetly terrorist activties, those are some very serious crimes....crimes that should not be forgotten about because he was a "child Soldier", or better yet a Child terrorist.... Which hearts and minds, those in Afghan , the same people we will not hand over young mr Khadr to because he will be executed...because of the crimes he and his merry band of terrorists have commited....They want justice, and we prolong and drag it out....Candians want justice to be served as well. Let him face a Canadian court for his crimes, and let justice be served.... Trust me Khadr serves as a recruiting tool now because we drag this out. lets just get on with it, tommorrow he'll be yesterdays news....

No they will pay for thier sins once they meet god....for now it is up to the west to arrange that meeting.....

Time for our country to sit down and atleast talk about defense ...draw a White paper up and give our military a direction...and our government a path to follow for equipment purchases....

The F-35 is about to go into mass production, production of the F-22 has been halted and the F-35 has been pushed forward, According to Janes this will mean pricing should drop accordly....

A what if Canadians don't want a terrorist / traitor living with them.... Your right, it's not free it has a price, just ask those that serve our country....he forfieted that freedom the day he decided to join a terrorist group, and carry out terrorist activties....But your right we should be singing kumb ba ya, holding hands and dancing around the fire....

Does it real come to that, why not just improve the way we do bussiness, little things like spend your budget or loose it....what if we provided incentives for depts to under spend...way back the MND once had a painting with 3 strips of different colors hanging in the entrance, painted by a local artist, at the tune of 25,000....wastage is rampant not just within DND but the entire government...i'd say it would be easy to collect more than 20 bil .... What we really need is a good dose of common sense....and i don't mean Ice breakers with guns mounted on them....experts making good bussiness decisions...giving the leadership this country so desparatly needs....

Anyone that understands just how much sovereignty we give up not only to the US but to NATO as well. why is it we are so damn cheap when it comes to our defence....why is it defence does not even come up on the top 5 things on the pri list....

Your countering your argument, it was you that brought in the fact that the us has a larger GDP and population.... it is a service that we pay for....did your cable company come over and ask you how much do you make....last time i checked everyone is billed equally.... it is because we are not paying for half....a whooping 1.8 bil that we do not have an equal share or equal say in the NORAD defence systems....a defence agreement that wieghs heavily on alot of policies....

Then it is based on population....you just stated so, The US pays out more because they have a bigger population, and there fore a bigger GDP.... and if that is true why not base everything on GDP, including our military budget.... The piont here is not the size of ones population, but it is a resource that is shared....for the security of both nations....with New NORAD agreements being signed they will be expanded to include a maritime componet as well....it would be in Canada's best interest to balance this cost sharing , and demand more of a role in our common defence....since NORAD and NATO seem to have a major influence not only in the equipment we buy, but also our foreign policies or lack off, which have a major role to play in our Sovereignty....thats is why we are not pulling our wieght....
