  1. No i don't but the other 99 % of those that do see pretty much everyone....there will always be that one guy or person...in any thing we do in life...people still drink and drive and yet we have not banned driving to save lives ...because of a few mindless people... I would hope like the premiere here in NB did that you would take the reasonable choice, and not over react like NS premier did... we only have one small fire , nothing of the size you have in BC or out west...and historically we have never had huge fires like that in the last 10 years...not saying it could not happen, it just has not happened...thanks to reasonable people...
  2. I get it you want to be heard, i am hearing you...but we have 2 different opinions...The Current government position on the entire covid measures is this....it is over we lived through lets carry on, have we learned anything from covid...not a damn thing...IF the governments most critical responsibility was to care for people's safety... Why have we not taken any action on lessons learned...this is the optics i have it is becasue that issue is in the past, it is over we are on to the next thing....they the government had previous warnings the entire supply chain was in trouble, that our current medical emergency supply was obsolete, and it is worse today...So i find it hard to believe our government most critical responsibility is our safety... all one has to do is look at the current status of our security apparatus, to find out how much they do care.... if you look at it it did more than infringe on our freedom of choice....and you should care any time our government decides to infringe on any of our rights... Can you show me where doubling the debt saved lives....I would have loved to see more accountability on where our money was going....employing teenagers in households that made over 100 k was not one of those...just one examples...there are thousands...Hindsight and a toonie gets you a coffee.... I like that "hopefully" we don't see another, we do that a lot "hope" but when these events happen hope does not fix anything...Most Canadians have a extremely short memory, and covid is over we are moving on....screw what happens yesterday...we are hoping for tomorrow...
  3. To be honest Nazis hated anyone that was not of the Aryan race, blond , blue eyes, fair skin....Nazis killed a sh!t ton of people most were jews ,but millions were Russian, Gypsies, handicapped people, you name it for any old reason off to the ovens you went...60 million were said to have been killed in WWII, Russians killed millions upon millions as well but somehow that part of the story gets left out... Must have really hated Justins liberals then...
  4. People i bike with, know what is at stack and if your being a dick in the woods are not afraid of telling you or calling off road enforcement to sort you out...around here there are hundreds of bikers riding up and down the trail system everyday...it drastically improves surveillance when people are out and about... I've been biking for decades , on trails that are managed and groomed so there is no grass or tinder on the trails, so hot exhausts are not the issue...there are close 8000 kms of trails managed by New Brunswick All Terrain Vehicle Federation not to mention private trails that other clubs or people mange maybe another 4 to 5000 kms worth starting fires from exhausts are not the big problem here...ATV ties in with Skidooing....same trails all looked after very well.... https://experiencenewbrunswick.com/2024/03/09/atv-trails-nb/ And i is not going to alter anyone's life in a drastic way...but i don't think you understand what goes on in our province this is not just a couple of guys out on a weekend. our trails see plenty of bikes on weekdays and thousands on the weekends...it is not just a hobby, it is a way of life it is what we do for entertainment ...and i get you disagree, i don't get the impression you own a bike or side by side, or spend much time in the woods....will i die if i can't go in...no i won't ... we are not having the issue with Forests fires as BC does...Yes it is really dry here, and only one small fire burning thats been in the news... Maybe all the fools should be getting 25,000 fines, and doing time in jail, so they are not in the woods and the rest of responsible people can enjoy it more...
  5. It was not the same for everyone, including me, unless i wanted to become some merc for hire...sorry not my game...quitting meant risking a pension, giving up seniority, a very good paycheck...
  6. Yes it saved lives, but thats only one part of the equation...we doubled our national debt load, we still are unbelievable unprepared for the next virus whatever that may be...long term care still broken, we are critically short on medical equipment, mobile medical equipment, critical medication supply chain is still broken....there are a lot more areas we said we would correct to be better prepared than covid....China is still messing with plenty of virus and like us never learned a whole lot from covid...These are lessons not learned.... Hey i'm all for vaccines, i got mine because of my medical conditions....but i also support freedom of choice to get it or not...what i do not believe in is subjecting children to the vaccine knowing they did not need it... not sure what anti vaccine info your talking about unless it was the remark about the children...
  7. easy to say ,harder to do, how did you make out going from fishing to boat tours.....unless you've invested most of your life into your career, then it becomes a major decision....
  8. Yes it does, thats why i said having the other 99 % out there would police those 1 % of wingnuts that think public safety is a joke...This is only going to get worse and while it is ok for the government to start making wild decisions like these, what do they do for prevention , for decades now they forrest service has been complaining that Forrest management funding has been cut back, so no new equipment very little new hires, and nothing spent on mangling our forests...last year we had a couple bad wind storms that resulted in massive blow downs...so bad that most atv trails operators spent months clearing them, but the damage was massive, add this to decades of blow downs and our forests are like a huge tinder box...me and many others have spent many hours salvaging this wood for firewood for home... I live in NB so it has not affected my life, our government took a more reasonable approach...However during covid we were not allowed in the wood at all not even when alone for some strange reason, it was a stupid rule and not many obeyed it...no stupid fines attached like NS 25,000 plus taxes and something called a victims tax whatever that is... Maybe but most of NBers live in the country, people are in the woods all the time...i can count 30 or 40 bikes along the trail when on a 15 min ride to take my grandson fishing....I'm on my bike all the time, hunting, fishing, just for recreational use...i belong to atv club with about 750 members like i said it is a way of life to some...Not being able to go into the woods, would be covid all over again...doing nothing but endless to do lists for the wife... Your going to get b!tchers on every topic....most will be city folks really have nothing else to do...kind of like gun control...everyone that has an opinion on it does not have a firearm and lives in the city...
  9. I would disagree, with the handling part....making deals with China to find a vaccine was a mistake, Government had also been warned that many crucial medical supplies were in a critical state and ignored that warning....also we had NO way of producing the right kind vaccines here in Canada, and still don't, other medication that suffered from supply chain issues is still not corrected....we did not have enough medical machines required to service mass casualties, like respirators, etc...still dont'...and the massive amount of funds spent during covid , no one can account for most of it...it was a free for all....Covid also brought up other issues hidden away like long term care it to has not been fixed....did we survive most of us did, but it was not pretty...or handled well... The fact the government rushed in experimental vaccines was a problem, the military did the same thing when they rushed in antimalarial pills to the military....during somalia and looked how that turned out...fridays were know as freaky fridays because the pills made you high as you can get...that would not have been to bad but all of us had loaded weapons and access to some mean machinery... And to top it all off, they knew Kids did not need the shot, and yet the exposed all our children to the unknown...So was it well thought out...no...it was not, did we get lucky that the virus was not more deadly ...yes we were...So while i did get my shots....i know many that did not and everything turned out all right in the end...
  10. I've talked about many places in my posts, doesn't mean i've live there today...so no i did not pick up what your throwing down.... Your one of the lucky ones, but most of NS , NB the province is one huge forrest, except in the urban areas, but most of us live in the country and are surrounded by trees, now yes i can drive to the ocean or beach for 45 mins and enjoy outdoor life, but most here people have camps in the woods...., and hobbies include atving , hiking in the woods, fishing brooks and streams, even in the back country rivers you need to go through the woods...YOU may find these laws don't effects you...but others think it is a little dramatic to fine someone 25,000 plus taxes and victims fees... for going in the woods as a responsible adult...maybe in NS you don't have many of those who knows...the ones i know are fine... Responsable people take precautions when in the woods....which might be 99 % of the population. Yes Forrest fires are expensive, thanks capt obvious, and a good majority of the population know that and practice good fire prevention techniques... I don't recall whining about anything, just stating that most of NS is wooded and plenty of people live / work in the woods....They may be privilege's, to to many they are a way of life...and when someone screws with them people get upset....banning the population from entering the woods is not going to stop anything, those goof balls that start these fires are going to do that regardless....having responsable people out there is another means of enforcement. In our entire history banning anything has a means to control the population has not worked...At Least Here in NB they took the reasonable route , yes they jacked up the fines, but those are for the wingnuts deserve those type of fines... I think about my responsibilities everyday, and have not burned down one tree in the process...imagine that...Nor do i need some karen telling me what i need or don't need to do....NS government jumped the gun and went way overboard...on this one...as most common sense would tell you...
  11. I think Albertans are crying on more than just losing the election..., i think they are looking for better representation, i think they are looking at getting rid of policies that keep oil and gas in the ground....which for the life of me still can not understand how everyone can not see that is beneficial to our whole nation...not to mention the dozens of other things that this country has wrong with it....most of them can be laid at Justins liberals feet/ now carneys liberals..... I hope your right....but if these tariffs go on much longer and job loss keep adding up, not to mention the other Carney promises don't come to fruition, liberals are going to start bleeding support...
  12. Doing outside activities was restricted like fishing, atving, even camping during covid at least here in NB ....going inside was restricted unless you had your papers and wore a mask then it was game on, Not all people had a choice, if they wanted to keep their jobs, working for the government one got the needle or quit...which made no sense at all because most of that time we spent working from home.... Lets also mention not everyone had good reactions to vaccinations, i know of at least 6 soldiers that were hospitalized some of them seriously and were then released unfit for military duty....due to complications or reactions to vaccines...So while it did benefit a good portion of the population, lets not pretend it protected everyone...
  13. Not sure how you came to this , as most of his data to date has been false, proven false on Canadian and US media and yet Americans believe trump's word as it came from god himself...and to be honest i don't think cares what Carney and his team think...he believes his numbers nothing else matters...
  14. It is as close as it ever has been, if things don't get a little better, a good chunk of Canadians don't like where we are at or where we are going....Canadians put their trust into Carney and if he does not deliver, his reign will be short... And i'm not crying just not as optimistic as you are, Canada is built on a house of cards one falls they all fall....there is no canada without any of the provinces...
  15. Many are but not the majority , Well that did happen during the peak of the elbows up....but Canadians are still buying plenty of US goods, even at inflated prices, according to the media that trend is dropping off...and even at the peak was only about 30 % of goods sold here in Canada....Look at costco, it is always packed and and a lot of goods sold there are US goods... As for Carney doing the right thing , we will see in the near term, so far nothing that we know is being done...It is going to be important to see how these negotiations go because CUSMA will be next...
  16. US tariffs , would mean Canadian products sold in the US would be at price, plus tariffs....which would cause US consumers to find cheaper products made either in the US or else where.... note US tariffs do not apply to the entire globe, but to specific countries...and only effect Canadian goods flowing into the US , not other countries goods flowing into Canada... not sure why your having a hard time following this logic....Canadian tariffs on US products would have Canadian consumers looking for a cheaper product made in Canada or shipped in from another country which canada has no tariffs on.... During this time The US manufacturing of these tariff products would see a drastic loss in sales....at least as long as the tariffs remain in place....Because Canadians would be finding other products to buy...*blink twice if your following so far...
  17. Yes Canadians would be punished by any Canadian tariffs by paying foe the increased price....., but they are designed to curb Canadians from buying US products by making them more expensive....Canadians will naturally search and find cheaper alternatives...where this hurts the US is they are no longer making money here in Canada, and will be forced to sell products at a cheaper price, or slow production lines, or lay off people....that's where the american will feel the pressure of tariffs...
  18. Thats not the case the US use to have all of that and more , but has moved most of its industry offshore.....Canada seen an opportunity and took it, Canadian lumber was being sold in America cheaper than the Americans could, hence the tariffs that have been on soft wood for decades and still Americans buy it by the train load .....most of our high quality wood goes to the US, same as Aluminum, steel, copper.... US was not subsidizing anything your industry got up and left, and Canadians filled the gap....because it is to expensive to manufacture anything in the US.... Car industry is the same, the US has pushed out its own industry because it can be cheaper if it is built some place else...Everything is now made in China....because American industries made it that way....because they can make more money by doing it that way....not because they had a heart of gold and decided it looked good to subsidize poor little Canada...it was to fill their pockets with even more money, which overrides patriotism, that would provide good american jobs....it is all for more greenbacks...People will but anything that is cheaper....and in most cases that's from China, everyone loves china because of the cheap shit....If the US does not do something drastic China will be the next superpower I get it, trump wants to reverse all of that, and it wants to bring manufacturing back....because it is good for America...but right now the US is dependent on some Canadian goods, be it steel, aluminum even softwood and much more...it will take years to rebuild those American industries, and during that time YOU Americans will pay good money for Canadian products ...but lets not forget why they left in the first place....because companies make stuff cheaper in other countries...that is the missing piece here it is called greed....everyone has it Americans and Canadians....
  19. Maybe some guys don't understand anything about tariffs...Tariffs are not a one way street...Yes trumps tariffs punish US consumers by driving up the price of Canadian goods, Which consumers will search out cheaper products, like everyone does....from elsewhere....meanwhile the lack of sales hurt Canadian companies, which are forced to down size or fire employees due lack of sales...Trump wants to force companies to manufacture in the US to avoid tariffs, which creates jobs and industry...this is not happening in Canada, some Canadian companies are moving south just for that reason....Many within the globe are doing just that moving to the US...as it is cheaper... So while it is a dick move on the US part , our lack of tariffs on US goods is not forcing Canadians to continue buying what ever is cheaper , most likely US goods... It does not depend on what trump does, but rather on how the canadian consumer reacts....thats what makes tariffs effective...
  20. Ever been to Nova Scotia, most of those outdoor sports are in the country which is in the woods, unless your in the middle of the lake somewhere....so ya technically they are not banned, but since most if not all the trails pass through wooded areas they've been severely restricted, to your backyard.... Here in the maritimes everything is either done on the water, or in the woods....Unfortunately it only takes a few wingnuts to not use common sense when enjoying the great outdoors...those guys should be shot with a ball of their own sh!t and put on a rock island for the remainder of their lives....
  21. For good reason, killing foreign media is much worse than killing terrorist, those restrictions are for their safety, not so the world can have more gossip around the water cooler...Besides not many journalist want to risk everything to get a story...when it can be handed to you in your hotel at a press brief...Most are spoon feed and do not care to verify their sources... I did not say they are trapped there, however they can not come and go when they want it all needs to be authorized and that takes time Everything they do is controlled by both sides....Hamas is terrorizing everyone, including their own people, NGO operators are no different, if one of them was to talk to the press and colored outside party lines you can bet their safety would be jeopardized...anyone can disappear in Gaza and not many people would go looking. That and NGO's are no different than UNRWA which was compromised by HAMAS...
  22. Just a question how many western media companies are operating in GAZA, most of the western media companies are using figures and stats provided to them by HAMAS, are you saying those are accurate...as for all the NGO's operating inside GAZA there very lives depend on not providing the media with anything outside hamas party lines do you think they would risk any of that to tell the truth about what is happening in gaza ...The UNRWA had members participate in the oct 7 raid...how is any of their information to be trusted...Even the UN uses Hamas facts and figures....Same goes for most of the jewish media it has all been vetted and wiped clean to provide their side of the story....some place in the middle is the truth both sides are compromised....
  23. What makes you think they will leave, and who wants them....look at the trouble they cause here in Canada...Jordan kicked them out because of the problems they caused, do you see any other Muslim country opening up their doors to them in these numbers...Those that wanted to leave have done so...
  24. Last estimate from Israelis intel says there are still approx 20,000 hamas fighters in Gaza....This war is far from over,
  25. From all the pictures i've seen most of it is... It takes two parties or more to have a conflict, it is just convenient you dump all of this on Israelis feet...
