  1. OK, pooch, walk me thru those couple of clicks.
  2. First of all, the proposed levy by Obama does not apply to Canadians who travel to the States by land i.e. car. And since I am retired and have the time not to go through the pain of airport security, I travel by car, I really don't give a care about those who might have to pay this levy. If you don't like it, don't go there. Don't bash Obama! This is the first time EVER, that he wants something accomplished without hurting Americans.
  3. When I disagree with a liberal (pretty much all the time) I have the decency to insult them with nothing more than calling them liberals. On the other hand, calling those who don't agree with them "nutjobs, extremists, rednecks, simpletons, idiots, morons, stupid and hateful, racist and prejudiced" is the exclusive talent of those on the Left side of the political spectrum. After all, baseless name-calling is undoubtedly a typical liberal 'virtue'. The only liberal 'virtue'.
  4. Why is it so damn difficult for some to accept the fact that the retirement and qualifying for government provided pension should be raised? When the age of 65 years was first proposed (by that pre-Nazi German chancellor, Bismark) and since then universally accepted by the entire world, life expectancy was about 45 years. By that standard, today's retirement age should be no less than at least 75 years. Or more. Phase it in gradually, but phase it in.
  5. Your incoherence is absolutely underwhelming. Are you, by any chance a LIBERAL???
  6. My old Chesapeake Retriever, Quigley, is certainly not a Black Dog. He is intelligent. That is the fact to anyone who is not colour-blind and the diagnosis of the veterinarian who looks after him.
  7. Congratulations, Michael Hardner, you beat me to it.
  8. My comment was far kinder than most of the stuff left-wingers/liberals have said and keep on saying about conservatives and Tea-Partiers.
  9. I agree. The mind of a liberal/left-winger is like concrete: No, not solid, but all mixed up and permanently set.
  10. Interesting and thought-provoking article and comments: http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/02/europe_dumps_the_multicult.html
  11. Multi-culturalism is government (i.e. taxpayer) supported subsidy for maintaining culture that its proponents willingly left behind. It takes a totally impertinent and disrespectful person to demand that it should be supported by unwilling taxslaves. I am an immigrant. I left a hellhole. But when I came to Canada, I made every effort to become Canadian. I learned English without the crutch of programs like the ill-conceived and really, ridiculous "English as Second Language". I knew that any responsible person who came from foreign shores must swim or sink, based on their own effort. My kids do not speak the language of my old country. That is fine with me. It is my own fault. I never requested any government program to teach my kids something that I, myself was unable or perhaps unwilling to do. I have seen kids of immigrants going to school speaking not a word of English and coming home being nearly fluent. Anyone promoting government supported/subsidized multi-culturalism is by definition is a free-loader. And also by definition, an enemy, or at least an opponent of our country.
  12. When all else fails resort to vulgar obscenity.
  13. You are right, I only know you by what I gleaned from your posts. But when you decided to pass judgment on a best seller you never bothered to read and formed your opinion about it (and on its author - although you probably also think that it was ghost-written for him) only on some undefined and undeclared fountain of wisdom, you left me very little choice but to arrive at the conclusion that I arrived at. If I am wrong, prove me wrong.
  14. Arizona Senator Jon Kyl announced that he will not seek re-election in 2012. The great state of Arizona (my winter retreat) deserves someone who can capably fill his shoes. Congressman Flake already indicated that he is interested. But, here is Joe Arpaio, the legendary sheriff of Maricopa County: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2011/02/15/is_arizona_ready_forsenator_joe_arpaio It is to be hoped that before he resigns his current post he will find a replacement for his job someone who would be as capable a replacement as he would be for Senator Kyl.
  15. Is it a safe bet that you saw those interviews on MSNBC or on Real Time With Bill Maher? Or some other such 'reliable' source? Based on your myopic view, you probably think that Shakespeare published in paperback is pulp fiction.
  16. If not Lee Harvey Oswald, it would have been a jealous husband. If not a jealous husband, it would have been STD. Before the end of the first term. Republican? Democrat? Totally irrelevant.
  17. Perfect example in every conceivable way: "Dreams From My Father".
  18. Poor attempt at sarcasm by someone who - sure bet- never read "Decision Point" because she was too cheap to buy it.
  19. News? Hardly! It failed in the Soviet Union. It failed in all the former Socialist (i.e. Iron Curtain) countries. It has miserably failed in every country where it was tried in Africa and to a lesser degree in South America. Other than Communism and Islam no system is entirely bad. So, some elements of Socialism maybe good.
  20. Affirmative action explained: Crutch for the incompetent. Would its proponents be happy with firefighters who got their jobs by affirmative action trying to rescue them? Or doctors who are products of affirmative action do their heart surgery? Or some ignorant affirmative action teacher teach their kids? Yeah, probably!
  21. Socialism is absolutely the very best form of human life. Until its proponents run out of somebody else's money. But that surely isn't the reason that it failed miserably everywhere it was tried.
  22. Stem cell research does not have to be done on aborted babies. In fact more successful results were obtained from research done with adult stem cells. BING, BING!!
  23. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! Yeah, sometimes I do what you ALWAYS do: Post before I think.
  24. I would never deny that the Holocaust happened. In fact it is still happening each and every day: "bloodyminded" so-called doctors butcher thousands of unborn babies every day. Quite OK with liberals. Too bad your mothers did not think the way you do.
