I think it is quite hilarious that Liberal supporters here are trying to spin this as some sort of vindication for the party. Martin being exhonerated is literally the only good news for the Liberals in any of this. Let's have a look back over the past couple of years at some of the Liberal spin that has been completely discredited. "A few bad apples." A few bad apples that just happen to include Prime Minister Chretien's chief of staff at the time, two consecutive executive directors of the Quebec wing of the Liberal Party, the former Public Works minister, and some of Jean Chretien's closest friends and collaborators. As I have argued before, when the "rogue elements" in the party just happen to include the leader and his inner circle, they're not "rogue elements". "not a systemic problem." I'm not saying that there weren't serious issues and some people who were involved in some pretty serious illegal activities. What I do know, is that from what I have gleaned from the report so far, it implicates a precisous few from within the party and is not the smoking gun held firmly in PMPM's hand that the CPC and Bloc want. I like what Martin is doing about it to at this point, haning the investigation over to the RCMP and banning people from the party. But I am sure you have issues with his action to this point as well.

After reading the initial release reports I would think that there are many here who will be disappointed with the findings of Gomery. It would seem that the investigation backs up earlier assertions from the PM that these were a few bad apples, not a systemic problem.

It sure has upped the civil disobedience numbers however. All the money aside, I still don't see the reluctance of gun owners to register their firearms. Hardly seems a big deal to me.

Seriously, he has repeatedly used "Reform/Alliance/Conservative party". THREE TIMES in one post. How is that any different? It is understandable how members of the Conservative Party of Canada who take offense to that name. If the rules are to be applied so be it. If the board is to be free of attacks, then let's all play nice. I have spoken to Greg on PM about some of these issues. I understand where he is coming from. I hope he can see that it is only natural to pose these questions. If he wants to keep the debate civil and respectable let's crack down on the insults to party names as well. I am not aiming to be barred a la mirror. Seriously hope my voice is heard though. Greg, I certainly don't expect that you would want to nor need to explain every banning but unless I missed some foul post or something I can't see why a couple of members have been banned of late. Yet, by the same token, others that seem to yell troll alot seem to stay. It's very confusing indeed.

Monty, I've heard this label, radical, used countless times along with Activist Can you explain what is meant by this? Why is George Soros radical? Why are judges, among others, labeled activist? I'm asking an honest question here. As far as I can tell its to further vilify in the eyes of the right, am I correct? Its very similar to the Liberal label, meant to disparage. Am I right?
