  1. Yep, this pretty much sums it up honestly!
  2. Karma be damned. I'd rather give to the Salvation Army than the Soviet Red Army, which teeters on our borders apparently.
  3. There is no "wiggling around definitions evasively" here Bonam, I am being right up front and your assertion that affirmative action is "instutionalized racism" is wrong by the very definition of its terms. If you want to argue with those terms, please be my guest, but you can't ignore those definitions and you will still be wrong. The fact is you cannot prove that affirmative action is "institutionalized racism" and now you are dragging some vague white European-ish Christian male into it and you telling me not to wiggle around? LOFL! Plenty of white European-ish Christian males have directly benefitted from affirmative action since many of them are exposed to women and minorities in the workplace. This can only be a good benefit wouldn't you say?
  4. Well no son, here is where you are dead wrong and where your whole construct comes down like house of cards. In fact, non-visible-minorties include aboriginals and, since 'visible minority' is self-declared, anyone else of any other skin colour, eye configuration or ethnicity who chooses not to declare themselves a visible minority. You didn't know that did you? So let me ask, then what "skin colour" are aboriginals, heck, what "race" are aboriginals? Do you have any idea about that? So no, you are wrong because non-visible-minority is not a race. Therefore affirmative action is not "institutionalized racism" and never was. So whomever was feeding you that line that it is or ever was "institutionalized racism" is talking out of their ass.
  5. Why stop there though? Why not the community in which someone shares their food to someone needy in the community? Heck, even lions and dogs do this! Saipan, keep a close eye on those damned lions and dogs, otherwise we'll be under the iron fist of Stalinism in no time. Damn straight we do! At the every least, you help keep the flies off everyone else.
  6. No, you are dodging again, I asked what "race" was a visible minority and you give me some schlop about "include people." So in fact, you are admitting that a visible minority is not a race, nor is any affimative action program targeted at visible minorities, racist. That is basically what you are saying isn't it? Because if only a visible minority is taken for the job - because of an affimative action process - this means that non-visible minorities are not allowed. So let me ask you - what "race" is a non-visible minority?
  7. Really? Then what "skin colour" is a visible minority? What "race" is a visible minority or a female?
  8. No, Bill, there is no "grain of truth" there. Anywhere. At any time. Ever. But it is fucking hilarious! Seriously: tears-in-my-eyes hilarious!!
  9. Ah, the 'Saipan Method' makes an appearance. Whew, for a minute there I thought the court jester was starting to become self-aware. Nope.
  10. I have read your prior posts and all you are doing is simply re-iterating an absurd declaration without proof or substance which you can't even back up with any sort of reason or rational explanation. Instead you say, its self-evident and everyone knows this, no need to ask. As if Bonam, get real. But the fact is, as it stands right now, you can't prove that affirmative action is "institutionalized racism" no matter how many lame get-out-of-jail-free cards you try to lay down on the table. Just man up about it Bonam, no one will respect you any less. Just admit you don't know what you are talking about. No shame in being honest.
  11. So you can't prove your assertion, instead you are relying on "everyone else" to prove your point for you. Somehow. Like 2+2=4. Self-evident something. Like the tinfoil on your head right now. The question still stands Bonam, exactly how is affirmative action "institutionalized racism?" If you can't answer, fine just man-up about it, but if you choose not to then you are an lying idiot trying for the artful dodge, but doing a face plant instead. Both are "self-evident."
  12. You mean the "same path" that was led by divisions of Soviet T-34 tanks with a million Russian troops following behind? That "same path" to a "socialist hellhole?" Yes, we need Saipan to be ever so vigilant because the Soviet Union is on their way to Canada.
  13. Exactly how is affirmative action "race based?" Oh, wait, I know your answer: how isn't it? But at least I see you have backed down from "institutionalized racism" to "race-based." That's a good start Bonam. Progress as it were.
  14. Most certainly they would. But that says nothing about Affirmative Action programs or how they are implemented and is certainly says nothing about Affirmative Action programs being "institutionalized racism" now does it?
  15. Wait and see, then make your mind up for yourself.
  16. Not in the least. Do you even know what racism is?
  17. You made the statement, now back it up. If you are unable to, then we'll chalk that down it lack of ability or knowledge. If you can, but choose not to, we call this a dodge. Are you an artful dodger Bonam of do you simply lack the ability back up your assertion? In either case then, you'd be talking out your ass.
  18. Exactly how is affirmative action "institutionalized racism?"
  19. Linda Lovelace or Marilyn Chambers? No they're both dead. Are you Kandi Barbour??
  20. Who is this "we" you are talking about? No, I'm not "arguing from a theoretical extreme" I am equally applying an absurd notion that government shouldn't compete with business - which is your notion. Then you contradict yourself, by saying that only some of the Crown Corporations should be privatized, while others - that also compete against private business - should be somehow spared based on some wishy-washy metric. In fact, you would privatize Crown Corporations that actually generate revenues and use the money from those sales to increase funding to "major projects" that already exist and that are continually getting criticized for spending too much in the first place. Not to mention that you have completely ignored the possibility - the real, proven possibility - that these corporations could be bought out by foreign interests and that sometimes money isn't the final determinant of 'value.' If you were paying attention to the article about the CBC, that might clue you into why there Crown Corporations that focus on Cape Breton. Seriously, do you live in downtown Toronto or something?
  21. What an absurd comment. Then logically "the government" should sell itself off because it is competing with private business and taking away money from business. Like practically all services including policing, television and radio, insurance services, scientific research, etc. Why stop with Crown Corporations if that is what you are advocating for? Once the Crown Corporations and all those other competing businesses are sold off, because of the various free trade pacts, we can have some other multinational come in a buy them up. The Canadian dollar, brought to you by WalMart; or the mail delivery by Saudi Mail Services Inc., or Employment Insurance by All-State. Maybe you should "care about the article" since it frames 'value' beyond the value of a dollar. Or is that too complex a concept for you?
  22. A sociofascicommuliberanulism coalition! AKA the Green Party. Smoke dope and plan corporate takeovers of the daycare industry to put all those welfare bums to work all while wearing Che t-shirts, Shining Path berets and the new Nike 'Black Spot' sneakers.
  23. Self-evident perhaps, but not at all logical. Here is where this wishy-washy type argument comes off the rails. The government has no business being in the business, yet practically all western governments are. Perhaps the rest of western civilization is not reading from the same manual as you are? But supposing for a moment that government actually "has no business being in the business" as you assert. Don't you think it is interesting that the very next thought contradicts your own assertion? You know, government "has no business being in the business," except it is "fine" if "we could keep" some of the businesses. Well for one, practically all commercial television shows have music so you either don't watch television or you are deaf. Like I said, big picture. You didn't read the article did you?
  24. Barflies maybe, but Osama Bin Laden, geez, I wonder how much of the budget that guy has generated? Like a entire sector of the population is gainfully employed because of him. Barflies be damned! Although I do respect the fact that you are also paying for the opportunity to swat barflies among other things. Money well spent in a free country no doubt.
