  1. Send a letter, via Canada Post, to the editors of the Sun for this outrage. I am betting your "before" is not as extensive as my "before." For example, where were you when they were scrapping the Avro Aero? How about the NHL? What about all those Yanks at QB in the CFL? Oh, right. Take our nickel and steel, but don't you dare touch our TV! Without rights you say? Where were you when they were talking abot Free Trade? Oh God no! Not Free Trade! We're doomed! We're doomed I tells ya! No. Thankfully "woe" is just you.
  2. Damn, I thought Wilson and Burke were fired. Damn! Even Stephen Harper would agree that Wilson and Burke have to go...
  3. Which is a great point actually. I mean Fox News is a prime source of Jon Stewart's best jokes and media cut-ups; Rick Mercer must be also frothing with anticipation waiting for SunTV to start up and provide him with a rich source of comedic material as well. I wonder how long before Mercer comes out with a special called 'Talking with SunTV News viewers." I can just imagine him asking some SunTV viewer what they think about the new 5$ coin - the Woodie.
  4. Is the U.S. Falling Behind in the Clean Energy Race? It is an interesting thought, no doubt a heavy PR campaign to get more investment going in clean energy... However, some of the comments to the story are just as interesting: Liquid Flouride Thorium Reactor No kidding...
  5. It won't be long before Dre is on his ignore list. Post-count chum isn't worth the time when it exposes the big, bad shark to actually be nothing more than a tootless sardine.
  6. Scribblet, you're simply awesome! You kill me! For one, there is no "hysteria" about SunTV in Canada. So your statement is nothing more than wishful hyperbole. Since you use obvious hyperbole to make a factual statement, this is a type of misinformation based on the assumption that people are unable to discern such 'extravegant exaggeration' in everyday communications. In other words, you are the one who is spreading the "misinformation and assumptions!" Now that is a nice piece of irony, like a chunk of crystal that builds upon it's own symmetry. Very well done! And it is nice to know that SunTV has a ready made market here in the Great White North. They've obviously done their research...
  7. Perhaps you should actualy try and construct a coherent argument that isn't based on the fish-in-a-barrel model. As for any "like last time" - of which there was no such thing - perhaps you were playing with yourself again and got confused. Again. Try and keep it together when you're at the library next time.
  8. You are asking me not to "play that game" yet you have already said this: So is this a backtrack on "White is always wrong" comment? I did notice you took the time to capitalize both 'Red' and 'White' above, so you were conscious of exactly what you were trying to state. This maybe so, however, it is not as if you have not presented your own polemics and cried foul when someone disagrees with you - so what? The only issues CR appears to present are those which are newsworthy or current and he does appear to have his research in order. Maybe you have a problem with the issues being presented? For example, your non-awareness of the historical background to the DCE issue. Admit for what purposes - to satisfy your ego? To be honest WB, you haven't actually argued these issues with any sort of insight, so there is no surprise that you would resent anyone presenting those issues with a little more insight. When was the last time you asked CR if it was wrong for the "government" to put a native in jail, say Kent Hill for the horrible murder of Tashina General? That was in the news - why don't you ask? Now who is playing games? And yet there you are, typing away...
  9. Where has CR every said that white is always wrong? I have seen him say on many occasions that "the government" or "you" are wrong, but I don't equate you nor "the government" with a particular skin colour. Do you?
  10. I don't think I have ever waited more than an hour as well, usually much less than that, 15 minutes maybe. Sometimes I got in early. And this is several different docs in several different cities in Ontario and Quebec.
  11. This miss comes from you trying to use the exception to the rule as a general condition. Kind of like referring to Heather Mallick as representative of the CBC. It's a pretty lame tactic indicative of intellectual laziness and dishonesty. Canadian Conservatives Party supports universal healthcare, CPP and practically all of the other social benefit progams we enjoy. Have the CPC sent Canadian troops into Iraq yet? Etc. IMV, even most Canadian Conservative voters are very much to the left of even some moderate US Democrats. So what "ideological direction" does the CBC travel in again? You haven't even established an answer to that yet. But try again when you are capable.
  12. He brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'StickyKeys.'
  13. Heather Mallick is the CBC news now? Wow, how enlightening. Or did you mean to say Anne-Marie Mediwake, Dwight Drummond, Michelle Cheung, etc?
  14. Well the only Democrats in Congress are more like Canadian Conservatives to me. Want to try again? Please do. But don't do it while watching Fox News again. It is dumbing you down.
  15. Oh. I get it! ha! ha! Good one! Not. The Six Nation protesters weren't acting less civilized than anyone else nor where they taking part in behaviour like "savages," like those that scalped back in the day or like it was in the "wild west." These are all stereotypes designed to cause fear among the colonists and settlers and are used nowadays by the aherents to a similar line of thinking who use stereotypes to co-opt real issues to advance ideological agendas based on fear and misunderstanding. So what is really disgusting, when one gets by your little facade, is you using stereotypes to perpetuate a view that is no only outmoded in an intellectual sense, but equally invalidated in the modern social and cultural sense. In other words, the views of an outcast with an ideological agenda than no longer passes as coherent. This is all illuminating in a way, like moths to a flame. While the notion of a hero in the wilderness might have some romantic appeal to those living in the waning days of absolute righteousness, most others, that I can tell, simply jot it down to another Shady platitude, phony and dull. But I am sure you still get off on all the attention don't you? That's probably it - an ideological agenda like masturbation. You're disgusting.
  16. Interesting little pattern you got here Shady. For a guy who admires the 'tanning lifestyle' so much. Very interesting.
  17. So I ask someone to back up their claims and you jump in... without backing up his claims. Or making an inference without backing it up. Or just being a silly pretender. Which is it? So, what "ideological direction" does the CBC take?
  18. How about the Rockefellers - are they left wing enough for you too? "Absolutely" You ignorance is... well, Fox-News-watcher-like. Let me guess, you were one of the test subjects for many of the studies right?
  19. Who knows, maybe it was a server problem or some badly formed HTML; or there was something in the story that the editors when 'whooooops!' Did you Google the headline? http://news.sympatico.ctv.ca/canada/ontario_court_upholds_terror_laws_bumps_sentences/2544c3d8 Here's a related story from the CTV http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20101217/toronto-18-terrorism-sentences-increased-101217/20101217/?hub=TorontoNewHome
  20. You are, of course, referring to the 'tanning lifestyle' you frequently advocate for?
  21. ZING! Nothing but net on that three-pointer!
  22. What "ideological direction" does the CBC take? If you please...
  23. Really? So WorldPublicOpinion.org, who self-admittedly is: Who are sponsored, in part, by: Rockefeller Foundation Rockefeller Brothers Fund Tides Foundation Ford Foundation German Marshall Fund of the United States Compton Foundation Carnegie Corporation Benton Foundation Ben and Jerry's Foundation And is a "...project managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland" These are the people that want to undermine Fox News? Now, their close association with a university, sure, maybe they feel they have a stake in the education or the contribution towards the education of the American public. But where are the studies by legitimate educational institutes that show Fox News isn't misinforming their viewers? If these studies are "another attempt" in something that is "getting kind of old" one would think that Fox News would have someone in their corner. Anyone? Or perhaps these sorts of studies are prevalent because, you know, they are kinda true...
  24. Sure it does. You just happen to disagree with the premise.
