These things are already in place and functioning. Are you now advocating for a sell-off of Crown Corporations to increase transfer payments, OAS and defence spending? So you would sell revenue generating entities to spend that money on projects that require revenue generating entities outside of the normal tax system. Why on earth would we sell something that is generating revenue for Canadians? As for the CBC and it's worth, I think that you are perhaps not really looking at the big picture in terms of worth to Canadians: Encyclopedia of Music in Canada entry for the CBC:

Like what "more important projects" and who gets to decide it is "more impotant?" I mean, why not have Crown Corporations and "more important projects too?" Now, of all the Crown Corporations above, the ones you would like to sell off, which ones actually bring revenue into the government?

If you have no cable TV and rarely watch TV, I don't consider you mainstream culture. Of course, it is changing, but we are along ways off yet. My two oldest kids don't have TV's, but they still watch TV shows on the Internet right? Still read all those websites with all those ads, etc. Now whether it costs the average Canadian 100$ to take part in something forced on them by government is one thing, but I am trying how you determined the "CBC/Left" was saying "poor people" from that article.

Military to Apologize toe Mohawks (once again)

No, the Mohawk method has some legality to it and they are aware of those legalities. The Saipan Method is based on the same illegal assumptions repeated endlessly, despite the evidence to the contrary. It's nothing personal of course. -

I call it the 'Saipan Method.' -
Where in the article does is say, or even imply, that the 'poor people will suffer?' In fact, people left without access to mainstream television WILL be left out of 'mainstream' and that is pretty clear in our culture. Is there some alternate TV-less 'mainstream' that you know of? Why do you assume that people with antennas are poor? Well let's see, the government is going to make a fairly significant change to the television industry - they are going to dictate this change - and one of the big stakeholders - the CBC - is looking out for their own interests. Looking out for their own business interests since losing customers in any market, especially in markets where their demographics are strong, is not a good thing. Yet, for looking out for their own interests the CBC are somehow "left." Do you consider CTV left as well? Seriously? Obviously you missed this little point in the article - the example from the US - worth repeating here: So those deep leftists - you know, the Democrat led US government, provided a great service to their citizens and somehow the CBC is "left" because they agree it is a good idea? And it is a good idea for the "industry and consumers" here in Canada?

Hey Moobox, get a moderator position at MLW because your mighty opinion is very valuable and enlightening, like the lofty words of Buddha, Martin Luther or even Martin Luther King. No, no they're not; just kidding. You're still an idiot. -

Good, so you understand that your comments are simply fluff, without substance; complaints without merit. I have no problem with that. -
Fair comment. However, you have provincial governments as well that are supposed to represent your regional interests in a national setting - do they do a good job? The concept of a federal party is balance. If you see a regional interest party as being the solution to your problems fair enough, but expect them to cause problems as well. Especially when they come up against the interests of Ontario, Quebec or the West. This phenomenon is based on population and economic wealth. Why SHOULDN'T we have a majority say? However, you assume that our interests are not compatible or that you think our elected do not consider the interests of the Atlantic provinces when all the evidence proves the opposite is true. It sounds like your quarrel is with the CPC. And if you want to form a conservative regional interest party then that is certainly all right by me since it will fracture the conservative vote in the maritimes and give more LPC seats. But wait until Ignatieff is gone please. Again, you are advocating for a 'separate but equal party' and Atlantic Canada is neither separate nor equal. Your best chance is with the LPC. (unless APC is conservative, in which I case I will donate money to the cause) But there is the base assumption that an APC will actually have influence in Parliament and there's no guarantee of that. If the APC advocates high risk with small reward, good luck running against CPC or LPC candidates who can promise the moon. Then get your LPC card, influence the constituencies to get Dominic in as LPC leader and I will bet you that the LPC will be the next ruling party, with a majority and with Maritime interests firmly in view.

I do know that immigrants from Europe simply cannot come over here and declare they are now Canadian citizens, which appears to be the case with you. In other words, you are an illegal immigrant and have no right to comment about "our" resources. Once you are caught, well, the sooner the better - know what I mean? Unless, of course, you would like to explain how you are actually a legal immigrant and through what mechanism you obtained your Canadian citizenship. Until then you are simply a mooch. -
Funny sound the drool makes when it slowly runs out of the corner of your mouth and on to your shirt.

There I fixed your words for you. -
So by "Atlantic Canadian interests" is that referring to the interest on the transfer payments to Atlantic provinces paid out by the rest of the country? Is the Federal Government holding back on those transfers to skim the interest or something? That's shameful! If you want to help Atlantic Canadian interests, throw your lot in with the Liberals and get Dominic Leblanc elected party leader. Dominic Leblanc is so charismatic, even the cod'll come back.

No, I already explained that you don't count; not only do you have a poor understanding of "our" language, but our laws as well. Really? Through what means do you have a citizenship of Canada? Some little backdoor refugee claim perhaps? How about one of those nifty land-and-dash deals? You know, like all those criminal Jamaicans you seem to know alot about... -

Gawd, what a pathetic dum-dum you are Argus Muckstuck. I was using your words to illustrate how truly stupid your thinking is. It isn't a lack of imagination, it is trying to find the proper medium so you would understand. But then again, I think even alphabet blocks is language a little over your head No, it's not that you needn't offer up a response, it's you can't offer up a response because you are a weak little crybaby pussy who is owned by a pig ignorant lefty that has proved that your prized assertions are at best, garbage. Not just any kind of garbage, but old garbage like your "sources." -

Not half as fascinating as your anxious gawking.

Mine can, I do everyday. But I don't speak on behalf of all Americans. Especially the anxious ones, busy gawking Canadians discussing international news on an Internet forum.
