  1. momento: You must be from Russia (one Russian newspaper took this joke seriously). The "sell Alaska to Russia" claim (I forget which paper it was--WaPo?) was a comedy/joke article. It was not serious. Also, the "US has the highest arrears" claim is misleading. In terms of dollar amounts, yes it is the highest. However in terms of percentage of GDP, it is not the highest.
  2. Black Dog: Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people, which holds that Jews, like any other nation, are entitled to a homeland. Israel's Law of Return grants automatic citizenship to Jews, but non-Jews are also eligible to become citizens under naturalization procedures similar to those in other countries. Approximately 1 million Muslim and Christian Arabs, Druze, Baha'is, Circassians and other ethnic groups also are represented in Israel's population. The presence in Israel of thousands of dark-skinned Jews from Ethiopia, Yemen and India is the best refutation of the calumny against Zionism. In a series of historic airlifts, labeled Moses (1984), Joshua (1985) and Solomon (1991), Israel rescued almost 42,000 members of the ancient Ethiopian Jewish community. Zionism does not discriminate against anyone. Israel's open and democratic character, and its scrupulous protection of the religious and political rights of Christians and Muslims, rebut the charge of exclusivity. Also, the Jewish people have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3000 years, given that the Hebrews entered the Land of Israel about 1300 B.C.E. No serious historian questions the more than 3000 y/o Jewish connection to the Land of Israel, or the modern Jewish people's relation to the ancient Hebrews. Moreover, when the distinguished Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in history, absolutely not."
  3. I find it sad that upon the cusp of the liberation of the Iraqi people--instead of jumping in there and helping--we stood on the sidelines secretly hoping that the whole thing would fail so that we could point to the Americans and say, "That's what you get for interfering with our greed for oil and Saddam's blood money". It's bad enough that we've got this juvenile knee-jerk anti-American reflex that permeates virtually every policy decision in this country, but the UK went to Iraq too. They are our mother country, whom we have stood side-by-side and shoulder-to-shoulder with in some of the most terrible conflicts this world has ever seen--even going so far as to declare war in 1939 against a country that never did anything to us and was absolutely no threat to Canada. If the UK could see that the Iraq war was a war that needed to be fought, why couldn't we? I can't imagine what Tony Blair must've thought of us for our cowardly greedy decision. I can only hope that we are forgiven for our shameful stance.
  4. A huge conflict of interest This is the same bullshit as CNN allowing James Carville and Paul Begala to host Crossfire, while being advisors to the Kerry campaign. (You may remember that Peggy Noonan did the ethical thing--taking a leave of absence from the Wall Street Journal when she went to work with the Bush campaign.) How can we expect balanced reporting from CTV and the G&M? We know we sure as hell can't expect balanced reporting from our state-run taxpayer-funded CBC--as they proved in their own words from their cbcunlocked website--where the CBC had links to radicals like Michael Moore, Ted Rall, and CBC reporters giving their "Gold Star Of The Day" to Kanye West for "saying what we all know is true--George Bush hates black people!" If you were a CBC reporter, would you dare to criticize the Liberals, knowing that you might miss your chance to become Governor General? Earlier this week, the CBC had a report on websites and described the ultra leftwing rabble.ca (to the left of the NDP on some issues) as having "the pulse of the nation". And if that troll who constantly follows me is going to deny this, I can find the video clip in about 30 seconds--unless you are going to claim that the video clip is "bogus" too. Conservatives always have this problem--fighting the ridiculous bias of the leftwing media. Will my fellow Canadians resist the brainwashing (a la the Americans), or will they disappoint me again?
  5. That oh so tolerant leftwing media Pure class. I'm not even religious and I find this despicable.
  6. Not a CTV/CBC/Globe & Mail/Toronto Star Poll And there is more; much more. This is an exhaustive poll, but the polling company believes that the Conservatives will win. According to them, the only region that the Liberals still have quite strong support is the Maritimes.
  7. Short Video Clip US hoping for change in Canadian govt as Liberal Party is not taking terrorism seriously.
  8. Thank you for the nice thought.
  9. US economy roars despite hurricanes; growth upgraded to 4.3 percent Damn that Bush and his Evil Tax Cuts!
  10. Not only is Cindy Sheehan making money off a book (which Amazon has taken to deleting the 1-star reviews...remember how Amazon changed their policy to allow ad hom attacks on the Swift Boat Veterans book...one reason why I am boycotting Amazon), but she is also getting $11,000 for an one hour speaking engagement. Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Scott Rutter is getting $600 to counter Sheehan for an hour. Granted, this isn't quite Ann Coulter speaking fees, but Coulter is the author of 4 New York Times bestsellers, clerked for Pasco Bowman II of the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, was an attorney in the Department of Justice Honors Program for outstanding law school graduates, worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she handled crime and immigration issues for Senator Spencer Abraham of Michigan, was a litigator with the Center For Individual Rights in Washington, DC, a public interest law firm dedicated to the defense of individual rights with particular emphasis on freedom of speech, civil rights, and the free exercise of religion. Additionally, she graduated with honors from Cornell University School of Arts & Sciences, and received her J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, where she was an editor of The Michigan Law Review. Meanwhile, Cindy Sheehan is a dull, dishonest, uninformed hate-filled bigot who spews anti-war cliches and publicly grieves for a son who died more than a year and a half ago (April 4, 2004). No wonder her family has abandoned her and her husband seved her divorce papers. I feel bad that her son died, but isn't there some sort of time limit on miking your son's death for money and publicity?
  11. White (Phosphorous) Lies: Antiwar accusations aren’t as hot as critics think In short, this is just more hysterical rantings by the communists who want to discredit the USA.
  12. Slavik44: Yep. That's why he had a prize seat beside an ex-president of the US at the DNC and that is why much of the Democrat leadership went to the Washington premiere of Fahrenheit 9-11 and gushed to the press about how good it was. [sarcasm]Yep. Moore is actually someone on the fringes of the Democrat Party--unlike Pat Robertson, who is constantly lauded by rightwingers.[/sarcasm]
  13. theloniusfleabag: Can you possibly be more dishonest? I said that it is YOU that is following me around this forum hurling insults. I have not complained once to Greg about your constant breaking of the "no flaming" rules on this site, but I have had enough of your disgusting antics and I will be reporting your barrage of insults to the moderator. You have gotten completely out of hand.
  14. Tell me about it. I live in the Robbery Capital of North America (well, at least the US and Canadian part of NA). The brutal grinding poverty of Calvert's Cuba is destroying this province. I had my bike stolen twice in 2 months. There are gangs running wild throughout this city-with no cops in sight - because the province lacks the 200 cops the NDP promised that they would hire--my city would get about 45 of those cops. We have people being murdered at 5:30 PM in front of the biggest mall in the city. I make sure I am ALWAYS armed when I go downtown in the evening. I defy anyone to walk in the "hood" in my city at nightime. You will likely be beaten half to death and there will be no cops in sight. But the NDP has more important priorities. Our total utility bill is about $10/month less than Alberta's. Woo hoo. We're better than Alberta--according to the NDP. When the province's conservative party complains about 17 y/o boys being murdered in the Premier's riding for a frickin' ballcap, the NDP and the media, who gets millions from SIGA, claim that this is "fearmongering". After all, the murderer is a "victim of society". Ergo, he is encouraged to go out and commit more crime on the Evil White People Who Stole This Country 150 years ago. I'm not English nor French, but I am still white. Therefore, it appears I deserve to live in a society full of non-white criminals. If I complain, I am a "racist". And if I complain, I am worried that I will be hauled in front of one of those "Human Rights Commissions" like so many Canadians that have suffered from the totalitarianism of the Liberal govt for "hate speech". What the hell has happened to this once great country? Freedom of speech is being eroded in this country. MPs being hauled in front of "Human Rights Commissions" for daring to send pamphlets stating that Native Indian crime is rampant--an absolute fact. Don't get me wrong. Many natives are good hardworking citizens trying to fight the "welfare system" advocated by the left. However, it is an undisputed fact that natives commit more crimes than non-natives. Preachers being hauled in front of "Human Rights Commissions" for daring to espouse the Bible's negativity towards gay "marriage". School teachers being suspended for writing a letter to the editor of a newspaper (after hours) claiming their support for the 2000 year old definition of marriage. People being fined for going out of their way to whisper "watch him, he's a fifi (French slang for homosexual)". Yes, he whispered it to one guy and the guy told the "fifi" what was said, and the original guy got hauled before the courts and was fined $1500. Canada has language police running around measuring signs to make sure that French lettering is larger than English lettering. If you are found guilty, you are subject to a fine of up to $7000! I am no fan of the ACLU, but if you ever tried to pull that cultural discrimination "language police" bullshit in the USA, the ACLU would frickin' go to WAR against you. I am very worried about Canada's future. How come Canada doesn't get to vote for Supreme Court judges--like they do in the USA? How come Canadians don't get to vote for radical social-engineering like gay marriage, like they do in the US (11 states voted no--Oregon was the closest (57% against and Missippi was teh furthest at 88% against)? After all, Canadians are against changing the 2000 year definition (we're just not "progressive" enough ) of marriage. It was very embarrassing when Bush gave a rousing speech about freedom. liberty, democracy, and fighting totalitarianism...and then a couple of days later, PM Paul "we lead the world" Martin announces the most important thing in the world to him--gay marriage. Good grief.
  15. I was ready to blast Argus when I saw the thread titled "The Plight of the Palestinians, How long must they endure such cruelty?" However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the rest of Argus' post..."at the hands of Arab govts." There is no doubt that the Arab world uses the displaced Arabs (the press calls them "Palestinians") to further their agenda of Jooo-hatred. From what I have read, it appears that the displaced Arabs are the proverbial "redheaded step-children" of the Arab world. However, I am not terribly surprised. These displaced Arabs are a deathcult. The Israelis compassion to these murdering dirtbags is distressing. It reminds me of Bush's America serving Duck a la Orange to the fanatical Jihadists at Gitmo. I know what I would serve them....
  16. Good for Bush. I will ignore your lies about the claims of the "Bush administration" readiness to go to war on "subsequently proven false claims". I have read the Authorization to Use Force Against Iraq signed by Congress. Apparently you are clueless about this. That's what happens when you rely on the Canada's state-run, taxpayer-funded, Soviet-style CBC. They are leftists and they support Chretien's family making millions off the blood of the Iraqi people. That is the leftist ideology; leech off the people. And I will not even bring up Paul Martin accepting a $1 million from Saddam Hussein for one of Paul "we lead the world" Martin's shipping companies. Oops, I guess I just did.
  17. Nonsense. The Iraqi army was one of the top armies in the world. With the help of the UN, Iraq was able to easily circumvent the UN sanctions and with the billions Saddam made off the Oil for Food Program, were able to project a dangerous force in this world. AS for NK, do you really think that their "manpower" would stop the US? You sound like these people who claim that China has millions in their military. Big deal. These days, much of war is fought in the air. The Iraqi Air Force fled to Iran and I don't see much difference between them and NK/China. Admit it. There is no military that can match the US these days.
  18. TLFB: This is a classic example of the radical left. A news organization that just happens to (miraculously) always get their hands on Al Qaeda videos. A news organization that has had 2 of their staff sent to jail for their ties to Al Qaeda. TLFB has made his intentions clear; blind ideology trumps democracy. Anything, ANYONE that is against the USA is OK in TLFB's book. I have always known that much of the left is a fifth column; TLFB proves my point. Sharkman: Actually Al Jazeera was okayed for broadcast in Canada 5 months earlier than the Liberal Party's lifting of the Fox News Channel's 5 year ban in Canada. Much to the liberal's chagrin, there was an uproar by decent Canadians who were outraged that Jihad TV was approved to broadcast in Canada before the FNC. Thus, the Liberal Party (CRTC's) claim that they would "monitor" Al Jazeera's broadcasts. It was all a sham. Anyone who has visited the Al Jazeera website knows what an insane news organization this is. Opeds from Scott "pedophile" Ritter, opeds from an anarchist from a jihad website (Richard Steven Hack); opeds from Yuman (sp?), who is one of the most hateful people I have ever come across in this vast world. As extreme-leftists George Galloway, Michael Moore, and TLFB have admitted...they are on the side of the Islamonazis. Nothing would will fill their dark evil hearts more than to see millions of innocents slaughtered at the hands of totalitarianism. That is why good decent people must continue to fight these Communists/Nazis. Note: The bleepin' bloody gall of TLFB starting a thread called "suppression of free speech". This guy likely spends more time sending emails to the moderator demanding that rightwingers be banned from the forum--than contributing to the forum's topics.
  19. The Lancet "study" has been thoroughly debunked by the right and the reasonable left (yes there are some out there). Marc Herold has also been discredited, not just for his Iraq civilian body count, but for his inflated Afghani civilian body count. According to the left, the only civilian body counts that are inflated are the civilian deaths at the hands of leftwing ideologies like Communism and Nazism. Hell, it took 15 years for Noam Chomsky to admit that about 2 million of Cambodia's 7.8 million people had perished at the hands of the Khmer Rouge. As late as 1988, when the skulls were piled too high to ignore any longer, Chomsky relented, but insisted that whatever had happened in Cambodia, the US (of course!) was to blame. One must always heed the wise words of the ever-quotable Ann Coulter: "Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant." As (mostly) usual, Ann Coulter gets it right. However, I would not put Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller in this category. They are true "classic" liberals, not like the socialist suckweasels who try to portray themselves as "liberals" today. No wonder they have taken to call themselves "progressives". They are always trying to bamboozle the public.
  20. Newbie: You linked to the deceitful Michael Moore; I didn't. If you can come up with 59 deceits from Dave Koppel, I would like to hear it. *crickets chirping*
  21. Uh oh. Someone from the Associated Press is going to be in trouble for letting the public see these photos of Mama Sheehan. In the bottom pic (update), Reuters shows the proper way for leftists to deceive the public. Uh oh, the boys at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler did some photoshopping of Saint Cindy's lonesomeness. Not nice you guys, but damn funny!
  22. Here you go: http://www.michaelmoore.com/books-films/f9...index.php?id=16 Care to debunk? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let the debunking begin: 59 deceits in Fahrenheit 9-11 But I do hope that Michael Moore puts out some more agitprop masquerading as a "documentary". He sure energized the Republican base in 2004.
  23. theloniusfleabag: From TLFB below: You are a 'DU reject', (by your own admission) for being an asshole, no one believes your bullshit about it being over the word 'why'. The sooner you fuck off the better. No forum should be subjected to assholes like you. Typical retort from a typical hypocrite. We'll see. Translation: I can outdebate you 2-3% of the time, but 95% of the time you kick my ass. That's why I going blubbering to Greg demanding that you be banned. I was furious that you pointed that it was regretable that I didn't know that natural resources belong to the provinces, not the feds. So now anything you post, I deride it as being bogus, derogatory, derisive, false, and disingenuous. I also accuse you of flaming by calling you an asshole, say you are bullshitting, and that you should fuck off...all in a non-inflammatory way, of course. I'm merely showing that famous leftwing tolerance. That's why I have been following you for months and hurling little but insults and snide suggestions after nearly everything you post. Unfortunately, Greg appears to recognize the rank partisanship of my banning suggestion. Damn that free speech! I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!! No. Don't give him a pass. Go stomp your feet and throw another temper tantrum. I got booted from the DU for typing one word: Why?...which was in response to the topic that said that the US should have national healthcare because it is a "right". I could just FEEL that leftwing tolerance at the DU. You dishonestly post that by my own admission that I am an asshole. Now wonder you can't honestly debate anyone on this forum. Ha ha. He has reviewed my posts many times because you are constantly whining that I be banned. Extremists like you are frightening. You would just love to throw all righties in re-education internment camps, like your leftist brethren so love to do. That's why us righties watch you and fight you everyway we can--all in the name of personal freedom.
  24. Darth Buddha: Yeah, so what if one of the biggest icons of the left is a lying hypocrite? Sure, he had a prize seat beside an ex-president at the DNC. Sure, many of the top leaders of the DNC went to the premiere of the disgusting agitprop known as Fahrenheit 9-11, and gleefully pronounced that the movie spoke the truth. But sooo what? Who cares if he is anti-gun but his bodyguard gets arrested on gun charges. Safety and security for me but not for thee--the very definition of a hypocrite. Michael Moore and factual argument do not belong in the same sentence. You can't possibly be this foolish. Why not? Wouldn't it be hypocritical not to? Are you telling us that there are no restaurants that are unionized? What nonsense. KFC in BC has over 50 unionized restaurants. Pot, meet the kettle. Chomsky did work for the DoD on translating computer languages; MIT gets money from the US military. Do you read anything other than leftwing news sources? And I am not going to even get into Chomsky's anti-Semitism. And Wikipedia? Get real. Anyone can write anything on that site. You DO know that, don't you? I think you are confused. From the WND article: Those who believe that the rich need to pay more in taxes proved especially adept at avoiding taxes themselves. Critics of capitalism and corporate enterprise frequently invested in the very companies they denounced. Those who espouse strict environmental regulations worked vigorously to sidestep them when it came to their own businesses and properties. Those who advocate steep inheritance taxes to promote fairer income distribution hid their investments in trusts or exotic overseas locales to reduce their own tax liability. Those who are strong proponents of affirmative action rarely practiced it themselves, and some had abysmal records when it came to hiring minorities. Those who proclaim themselves champions of civil liberties when it comes to criminal or terrorist cases went to extraordinary lengths to curtail the civil liberties of others when they felt threatened or just inconvenienced. Advocates of gun control had no problem making sure that an arsenal of weapons was available to protect them from dangerous criminals." Okay. You point out the "variety of highly immoral, unethical, and dastardly religious fundamentalists", and I will point out the variety of highly immoral, unethical, and dastardly secular fundamentalists of the left. Let's see who can come up with the most examples. Unbelievable. Like Michael Moore, Darth Buddha comes across as a hypocrite. "Sources" (note the sneer quotes) from conservative websites are always lies - even when backed up with facts, dates, and names - but a website where anyone can change history (Wikipedia) by simply typing in whatever they feel like is The Pure Truth. Someone who appears to be putting WorldNetDaily on the same plane as MoveOn.org of Bush=Hitler infamy. Someone who claims that others need a hefty dose of reality but claims that Michael Moore is factual. Someone who suggests others read, but has no clue of Chomsky's relatiionship with the US military. Someone who doesn't check facts and someone who does not do their own thinking. In short, the typical blind ideological leftwinger.
  25. Hmmmm.... This is straight from the horse, where did they get their info from? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL. How can anyone believe what Michael Moore says after his thoroughly dishonest Fahrenheit 9-11 agitprop. Although I do agree with part of your last sentence..."straight from the horse('s a$$)"
