  1. Ahh yes. Likening born-again Christians to ex-spouses and calling them the less likeable people in your life is merely "a joke". And you are a "moron" if you can't see this. After all, it is only a book review. That excuses everything. But if the G&M made a slur like this against Muslims, the lefties would be screaming "hate-filled rightwingers"!
  2. Yeah: threats of violence are far more suited to right-wing hate sites like Little Green Footballs where such behaviour is widespread and tolerated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was wondering who would be the first to ignore the calls for Ann Coulter to be raped and somehow twist it around to the "hate-filled" site (LGF) that dared to out Dan Rather's bogus memos from "Lucy Ramirez". Congrats, BD. Your Mom must be proud.
  3. It gets even more bizarre. The writer is reviewing a book on alcoholic drinks, but upon scrolling down to end of the article, one sees this: Jessica Warner is a research scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
  4. If Martin gets in,presuming a minority, what will he need to do to ensure longevity? What issues would be problem areas or areas of compromise in securing unity? I would be interested in hearing from the left how Martin might overcome the image of him "causing the separtist to vote for separtion" a group he tried to buy with advertising money given to his own party. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You just pwned Newbie. Ouch.
  5. And the 3rd Native gang that I couldn't remember in Saskatoon--is the Native Syndicate.
  6. Actually, what he says makes perfect sense. I mean, surely it is a simplistic comparison using Grade 1 logic but it would be difficult, in general, to disprove in the field of political science. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry if I wasn't nuanced enough for you.
  7. I agree that Saskatchewan is the most racist place in Canada. The native gangs go to "healing lodges" when they commit crimes; whites are thrown into jail. If people complain, they are attacked as "racists". A couple of months back, I stopped at a Native bar to pick up some offsale. The bouncer called me a "cracker" as I left. I was shocked, but I guess this bigot figured they had already got my money, so who cares. When I phoned the manager--who was Native--the next day to complain, she hemmed and hawed and made it clear that she didn't give a damn. One of my friends--foolishly--bought a house in "the hood" and he always has problems with Natives cutting across his lawn (he lives in a corner lot). When he complains to them they tell him to F off..."this is OUR land." One of my female friends has the same problem. Natives constantly park in her parking stall (she lives in an apt) and when she complains to them, she is told that "this is OUR land." The natives in Saskatchewan are the biggest hate-filled racists I have ever come across in my life. There was an MP here who sent a pamphlet complaining of the two-tier judicial system for whites and natives. He was hauled before a Human Rights Commission for issuing "hate literature". Just another example of the trampling of freedom of speech in this country... A BC teacher getting suspended for writing a letter to the editor of a newpaper showing support for the 2000 year defintion of marriage... A preacher in Alberta being hauled before a Human Rights Commission for writing about Church doctrine against changing the 2000 year definition of marriage... A guy in Quebec getting fined $1500 for whispering (going out of his way to make sure he was not heard) to another guy (who ratted him out) that a guy in a car dealership was a "fifi" (apparently slang for homosexual in French)... Quebec businesses being fined up to $7000 for daring to have their business sign show the English language the same size as the French language, which is blatant blatant cultural discrimination. What the hell is happening to this country? Why are the Americans allowed to have free speech, but Canadians can't? Why are the natives allowed to spew their constant hate-filled bigotry and yet they are rarely called on it?
  8. I've noticed your constant raging at the USA. Why don't you go to Iraq and fight the US? There are already Canadians fighting there against the US. Why don't you join them? Kill those animal American Nazis, saw their heads off. Shout Allah Akbar at the top of your lungs! ULULULUL!! I'm sure Michael Moore would like to see some more Minute Men fighting those fascist baby-killing, blood-drinking rednecked US neocons. And no, the CBC does not sensationalize anything. Nope. Not at all. However, I do agree with you on one thing: I am suspicious of the reporting of the MSM. Ever since I got the internet a few years ago, I can see how they lie, distort and mislead. Eg, I saw Nightline the other day when that ABC a$$hole (not Ted Koppel--some other jerk--I forget his name) asked that roundtable of Iraqis, "Are things better with Saddam gone?" When the entire panel said YES, he was incredulous! Then one of the panel members (a reporter from one of the 175 newspapers now available in Iraq) mentioned that the American media only concentrates on the US soldiers killed and ignores the thousands of terrorists killed by US forces, the ABC guy smirked and said, "Yeah, we get those complaints back home all the time." Like I have stated on this forum previously, the MSM is the enemy--with the exception of Fox News.
  9. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, yes. Clinton awarded no-bid contracts to Halliburton for work when he invaded Kosovo--without authorization from Congress, and much much more importantly--the UN (who has sovereignty over every country on the planet). Clinton is a neocon!!
  10. My Stats Professor in University must have been a moron. He told us that the larger the sample, the more accurate the poll. It makes sense. The typical poll of 1000 people is much more accurate than a poll of 18,000. Anyway, this poll has no credibility because the pollsters used the term 98% credibility and that is not a mathematical term. It's the equivalent of having a Porsche but then reporting it has as much HP as a Chevy Cavalier.
  11. Nice to see one of our political leaders getting tough on crime. I live in the robbery capital (per capita) of Canada and the US (yes higher per capita robbery rate than major cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, NYC, LA, and Chicago). I'm tired of these criminals getting slaps on the wrist. From last week: 1) Winnipeg gang member Michael Gary Regamy gets only 12 years for shooting a cop in the face and nearly paralyzing him (the bullet went down his throat and lodged near his spine). Regamy shows remorse: Well, that changes everything. Release this poor "victim of society"!! 2) Regamy's partner also got 10 years for attempted murder 3) More harsh Canadian justice: Kill an 18 y/o girl by slashing her throat and get out on $5000 bail. And more harsh Canadian justice: State-run, taxpayer-funded ultra leftwing CBC spins youth crime The first paragraph reads: But if you scroll down to the last paragraph, you see this: However, in a December 2004 article on youth crime, the Toronto Sun reported the following: Crime statistics in Canada chart here Just like Saskatchewan's NDP when it comes to cooking the numbers when they claim that they have reduced welfare...
  12. Western Standard: A few drinks and and the PMO blurts out their true feelings Like their American counterparts--the Democrats--the Liberals are dividers, not uniters. Alberta has been governed by conservatives for nearly their entire 100 year existence; they are noted for being hard workers; they have low taxes (flat 10% provincial tax rate; no PST and a Basic Personal Amount of $14,532--about $6000 higher than most provinces) and the highest per capita GDP in Canada. Albertans believe that they can manage their money better than a big bloated govt. They are very successful and that is why the Liberals demonize them. They want to steal Alberta's oil, just like Chretien was stealing the Iraqi people's oil. Time to turf these crooked arrogant SOBs out of office.
  13. I'm glad Harper is lowering the GST. As the polls have shown, it is popular with the public too. He is also going to unveil some more tax cuts. I hope he lowers corporate taxes, and the personal income tax for everybody (1 percentage point per tax base would be nice), instead of discriminating against the productive--like Paul "we lead the world" Martin did with his tax cut for only the first tax rate. I'm all for keeping more of MY money, because no one manages MY money as good as I do...and that includes the Conservative Party. The Liberals are crooks and the thought of the NDP getting ahold of my money is terrifying.
  14. In my OP, I noted that the CBC had earlier described the far-leftwing website rabble.ca as "having the pulse of the nation." Just now I was flipping through the channels and stopped at CBC Newsworld because they were talking about political blogs. Guess whose blog they were triumphing today? Robert McLelland's Myblahg website! Yes, THAT Robert McLelland--the same leftwing NDP extremist who trolls all the rightwing Canadian websites spewing his insane inanities in the comments sections. I believe Robert McLelland is one of those paid operatives that the left is so famous for. No one can spend that much time on the internet if they have a job. Even a home-based business would require some time working. He claims he is 40 y/o, so I doubt that he is retired. Of course, Mr. McLelland was saying that the GST cut helps the productive more than the non-productive. You see, if you are productive, you do not deserve a tax break; only the non-productive do. It is utter bulls**t that right-leaning Canadians are forced to pay for this hard-left tripe spewed by the CBC. I can only hope that Harper wins a majority and that he disbands this radical taxpayer-funded news organization that brainwashes Canada's weakminded. And no, the CBC never profiled even one rightwing blog both times they spotlighted blogs.
  15. "Lucy Ramirez" (of Rathergate memo fame) has apparently gotten hold of another memo--this one outlining Saddam's defense strategy for his trial tomorrow: I, Saddam Hussein, — would like to call Dick Durbin as a witness because he would be able to testify that US troops are like Nazi storm troopers. He would be able to testify that US troops are no different than the murdering thugs of Pol Pot and the gulags of Stalin. — I would next call Senator Kennedy who would be able to testify that US troops are no better than Hussein’s thugs — my thugs. — I would call Michael Isikoff of Newsweek magazine. He would be able to testify how US troops mistreat prisoners by flushing their Korans down the toilet at Gitmo. — I would also call Ambassador Joe Wilson, of course. He would be my star witness, because Joe Wilson would testify that I was not a bad guy; I was not somebody that posed a danger. I never once sought uranium from anywhere, because I didn’t have any weapons of mass destruction, and Joe Wilson knows it and his wife, Valerie Plame, knows it. And so, my friends, I, Saddam Hussein, throw in with the Democrats in the United States Senate. They are my allies, and until they finish their great and glorious work for Allah in uncovering the truth about the lies and the distortions of the cowboy Bush, I demand these trials of me be postponed and the charges dismissed — and I get my country back. Naw, it's a parody. Or is it?
  16. I think you covered every moonbat talking point out there. Congratulations. Now go back to watching the state-run, taxpayer-funded, North Korea-style CBC.
  17. It's global warming! No, it's an Ice Age! Enviromental Scaremonger: We must retard progress and shackle the economy with very expensive new technology of questionable worth because of global warming...er, I mean the Ice Age...er, I mean, uhhh. Oh, never mind.
  18. Shoop: Aren't you just a bit curious as to what US company commissioned this poll? I know I am. I'll bet is was Halliburton.
  19. August1991: Why does 98% competency not mean anything? What is the pollster "mysteriously" ignoring?
  20. Even though Global is owned by the liberal Asper family, I find them to be reasonably balanced, although according to them there is some country called "Palestine" in the Middle East. CTV is biased to the left. No doubt in my mind. I still remember Mike Duffy going on a rampage when Belinda Stronach decided to run for the CP leadership--although in retrospect, he might have been on to something. I also saw--a couple of weeks back--Craig Oliver say to Mike Duffy, "What are you guys going to do to counter that?"...before correcting himself and saying, "What are the Liberals going to do to counter that?" However, to be fair to Duffy, he did say this in a PEI newspaper: Rovik, I anxiously await for your examples of federal conservative campaign chairmen who are lobbyists for two of the biggest media sources in the country. *crickets chirping* And the National Post "super biased to the right"? It used to be a conservative paper, but with the departure of Conrad Black and Mark Steyn, and its acquisition by Canwest-Global, it has become a centrist newspaper.
  21. How do you know that nobody in their right mind would poll 18,443 people? Just because you say no one in their right mind would do so, does not mean it is a bogus poll. Or are you saying that Robbins put out a bogus poll? Is it just this poll or are all their polls bogus? It certainly seems to be more credible than the polls by the Canadian media that constantly show the liberals in the lead. Canadians can't possibly be that stupid to vote in this thoroughly corrupt govt again. What part of "98% competency" is confusing you?
  22. Video: The far left is advocating the rape of Ann Coulter Why are these people so filled with hate? Although Coulter doesn't say which blog is calling for her rape, it's a well-known fact that she travels with a bodyguard because of the repeated threats on her life. And in the past, I have seen liberals on the internet calling for her rape .
  23. I don't really watch reality shows, unless Dog the Bounty Hunter is considered a reality show. However, I have watched Gene Simmon's Rock n' Roll School a few times. It was alright.
  24. There was recently 500 people laid off at the NY Times and their affiliates, and now there are 85 more are being laid off at the LA Times. As we all know, the left insists that the MSM is biased to the right. After all, the media is owned by corporations--and ALL corporations are run by Republicans. Not ONE is run by Democrats. The only reason why they use forged TANG memos from "Lucy Ramirez", write bogus stories about 380 tons of Weapons of Medium Destruction disappearing under the nose of the US military, lie about Bush serving "plastic" turkeys to the troops, have their news directors issue memos to their staff encouraging them to slant their coverage for Kerry, lie about a Bush rally booing Clinton's name when Bush wished him well on his upcoming heart surgery (thank you to Fox News for having the audio tape that proved this was a lie), completely ignore the Swift Boat Vets--then after finally acknowledging them--constantly refer to them as the "discredited" Swift Boat Vets, put very Bush-basher with a book to sell on 60 Minutes, the fact that the media investigates businesses and encourages more govt intervention....is simply because the rightwing media is trying to disprove their bias. They're so clever. Anyways, Moveon.org (we knew nothing about the Bush=Hitler ads we ran--*wink wink, nudge nudge*) is upset about the layoffs at the LA Times. They claim that the layoffs threaten the LA Times' ability to deliver "strong watchdog journalism" (which is NOT code for Bush-bashing--*wink wink, nudge nudge*). What is Moveon.org doing to help this situation? 1) Encouraging their supporters to take out subscriptions to help the Times' ailing numbers? Er, no. 2) Taking out ads in the Times to help them? Um, no. They're organizing an internet petition. LA Times shareholders, be damned. We're Moveon.org. Fear our internet petition. Regarding #2--after their latest debacle, I can see why they are leery about taking out anymore ads. They yanked their "bring the troops home" ad off CNN a few days ago. Why? Because they had British soldiers in the ad. The military was laughing at them for not knowing the difference between US and British uniforms. So how did Moveon.org respond to this error? By doing what any ethical organization would do: They photoshopped a pair of pants on the British soldier who was wearing shorts in the ad (US soldiers do not wear shorts) and darkening the ad so that it was difficult to see that it was British soldiers, not US soldiers Finally, they gave up and yanked the ad from their website. I tell ya, the far left is pure comedy gold.
