But low profile tires are noisier, bumpier and less reliable- I would know. got my 2000 A6 on some 18" S4" type alloys and got about 4 tire punctures since... (mind you MINUS the winter) bigger tires however (mainly width but also radius) (while needing more power to spin) are indeed more adherent and do upgrade handling noticeably. but for a lowly mazda 5? its a great nifty grocery getter, reliable too... why rice it up? go for the stock mazda 5 branch wheels ... they look legit.. why upgrade wheel size (and hence lower reliability and heighten cost of purchase for new tires as well as increase road noise? its not like your going to take it to the track for god's sake... leave it alone.
