Lady gets away with not filling out the Census
AlienB replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is a bunch of nonsense. there is something called a birth certificate and a death certificate, as well as, as a SIN and employment records. What a waste of time. The fact the government tracks this stuff every 10 years is a joke, when the national security folks can probably tell you how many bugs are living in your eyebrows. Total waste of resource and talented people. Likewise with free health care I'm guessing every non paranoid person, who would hide from the numerator anyway, will have a health card or membership from their province with their address included. the government needs to wake the hell up, start making only required laws and stop playing with and wasting peoples time. The government needs to gtfo of placing legal obligations on people that are total bollocks already stop treating us like cattle this isn't the day of the dooms no more.. -
Imo it is a waste of time to regulate anything. Controlling damgerous substances does make sene if it endangers the general public however. Nothing is wrong with guns. This only let the police state be armed bs is just that bs. Power to the people. The right to bear arms is centuries old... Why should I have to depend on a government that treats me as a second class citizen or has 0 interest in defending my interests to protect me? Why should I be limited in what I can buy and whom, it is nonsense. The NAzI's used gun controlt to disempower opposition to corrupt rule. We need to educate people on protecting their rights not accepting the dominant party's rules. There are lots of guns out there.. cars kill more people than guns do, so why isn't there a global cars treaty? Or what about businesses marketing to sell unhealthy foods leading to strokes and heart attacks.. where is the fast food treaty? This is just stupid people crying about guns because they want to be pussies and let the bad guys control everyone. Sadly government time and time again prooves itself to be corrupt and untrustworthy, acting in the minority interest and ignoring human rights abuses, it is great the Canadian government recognizes why you don't only let government have gun... that and the fact it will raise the cost of import which Canada buys a lot of imported weapon a few millions worth atleast each year. could cost canada $500,000 or more and provide the treaty registry people intelligence on canadian gun owners. its just pointless. why are they trying to regulate firearms? They just want to force everyone to be complaicent with a gun to their head with no means of resistance totally nazi. some of the so called rebells and terrorists around the world have valid ground and are faced with corrupt and oppressive and alien governments which ignore those groups means of enjoyment of life. they just want to rule and subject dominate territory without regard for minoritie... then now you want to insure that the oppression is facilitated, total nonsense.

Should taxpayers pay for MP's family to travel?
AlienB replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
MP's shouldn't get any perks that are personal. Any travel benefits should be covered in tax law. Frankly they shouldn't even get paid. They've made the legislature too professional. The legalise and dragging out stupid issues while launching ad hominems is just so counter productive. I get the sense they feel compelled to make laws like someone who sweeps a clean floor. Paid too much, doing totally useless work, hyper legalizing and wasting peoples time while adding to the bureaucratic mess. There are already too many laws. Their pay rate should be the poverty line with a potential bonus once generating a net income for the country. None the less, if they have that option I have a feeling how that one is going to go. -
I said nothing about providing jobs and social services. I said they bring their skills and expertise, so as to escablish a model of syrian economy such as growing their own food raising their own animals and providing for their own needs via cottage industry. While I would condone taking foriegn aide funding for syria to provide food for Syrians in Canada that are refugees, I think that we should realize that there is no need to provide social services and jobs to Syrians, they should be able to provide jobs for themselves and build their own economy within Canada. As stated ~20,000 * 1000 works out to $20,000,000 on shelter while they should be able to get to growing their food, I think over time they living in government housing bought up from the flooded market in Cape Breton would allow for subtantial growth. I think taking a large ethnic community and plopping it down will still provide better living that the refugee camps around syria. It is still a step up.. you seem to associatte taking refugees with giving them a handout.. just run it as a refugee camp, that promotes self sustenance. Over the long term by having them pay any income into taxes, and working down a refugee loan it provides them both access without just giving them money. the model for refugees is all wrong, it is favourable but wrong. 5 people to a home works out to about 1000 homes. I'm sure they will bring skills, and I am sure many will be able to take their lifestyle from syria and apply that successfully to Cape Breton Island... now I don't think it will happen but it is what I would do, just send refugees to an island and run it as a large intake refugee camp. using the homes that are up for sale Some may find work elsewhere after getting further clearance or sponsers in Canada. Cape Breton would provide them a lot. Perhaps even just setting up Isle Madame as a whole refugee location for Canada and opening up the flood gates for refugees to Canada provided they settle isle madame. Or how about making petit de grat island as New Syria in Canada. Can you imagine a bunch of syrians in kilts throwing around cabers? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petit-de-Grat,_Nova_Scotia perhaps a graduated approach with three or four levels based upon employability, financial resources, education etc.. I was talking about Irish in Quebec making a life for themselves, you totally took my comments out of context. I am guessing some syrians will be great I've had syrian aquantances, (on all sides of the conflict), none the less Canada should have a do it yourself refugee option.. that is let you in to some island but you got to do it all on your own without any help from the gov in terms of resource.. come on over but you got to make it yourself, here is the camp land, if you want food you have to help with the grow coops etc.. not just syrians but everyone.. in an area that can be secured. you know businesses and groups could sponser funds to the camp.. like to a refugee camp as it is, perhaps provide some tax credits to those that due, and insure access in and out is managed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_Madame,_Nova_Scotia

US Government Shutdown Mega-Thread
AlienB replied to kimmy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well I think everyone feels comfortable that there is no real danger until around the 17th which at that point default enters the picture. However the US can only delay these realities. Except for those directly effected, ever the next two weeks (one paycheck term for many) to most people this will remain grandstanding. I will be very suprised if the house has the resolve to put this past the point of default, if it goes there I think neither side will be able to accept failure in the game of chicken over obamacare. One thing appears clear is that the dems don't seem to be likely to back out.. and for the gop the pressure will continue to mount in a game of crack the whip .. its just a question if enough support will harden to keep the house united against folding. For the gop I think the economy plays a role in that, I'm not sure the tea party side of thing who seem most radical in the action is large enough to hold on their own. I would put $10 down that this resolves before the 17th. But if it goes past the 17th... I'm not sure what it would take to normalize things again short of the next election for congress starting November 5th. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_elections,_2013 I would not be suprised if this stuff has a noticable effect on those elections. If a few more senate seats were involved. In delaying obamacare by a year it would be yet again a hot election topic.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2014 Note the "17" it is a numeracy and potentially thus masonically distinct number... as the next election the gop can loose 17 seats while the dems need to gain 17 seats, and the default would occur october 17th. -

http://www.capebretonpost.com/News/Local/2013-10-01/article-3413677/Cape-Breton-needs-to-address-poverty,-economic-development%3A-report/1 http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/cape-breton-s-youth-population-plunges-1.1874679 (THERE IS AN ELECTION THERE..) The good news is with declining population the real estate market could be opened up and may continue to be since the demand will continue to decline, and with no employers there will be no trend for middle age people to fill the gap. This presents an oppourtunity for redevelopment, however no doubt the area will continue to exist, luckily this presents an oppourtunity if managed. For instance Canada wants to take in like 5000 syrian refugees, why not just plop them down in lunenburg on the majestic island of cape breton.. where they can revitalize the local economy with their skills, craft, and expertise brought from syria. It worked for the Irish in Quebec. After Aleppo it will be the Ritz. There is a lot available in Cape Breton if you look at mls.. lots of oppourtunities for new self employed immigrants looking to find a home in Canada. The answer should be obvious that you need capital to start operations.. and immigrants who bring capital have capital. Where else in Canada can you get 3 acres of land and a house for under $15000? this with a well and ocean front... .. perfect off grid potentials... absolutely lovely for a self supportive person enough space to grow food for the family.

Russia has announced its 6th generation aircraft http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/europe/russia/130828/MAKS-russia-building-sixth-generation-fighter-jet I'm not sure if the realization that any jets canada gets may just have a couple years of service before they are obsolete. It would make sense not to get a complete airforce like all the aircraft for the next 20 years in one big buy, huh? There are other options like the grippen and Boeing F/A-XX, as well as other new aircraft that are coming out. The F35 has not completely flopped but it definitely wasn't what it was sold as. There was a really good plan but that plan failed to manifest so you can't treat it like what it was unless they deliver. You get less value at a higher price, and you are left questioning can I put my full weight behind this bearing all the circumstances. Both automation and air technology are advancing every day that passes. I think that yes there has got to be some sort of transition but no, you can buy a few of each plane like the Saudi's or other countries that fly a variety of jets. And no the price of running them needn't be higher, you just don't fly as many. But the bottom line is Canada should have some jets that are safe to fly. But no it doesn't need to go all in and buy its entire air force. We really need to question, how our Canadian pilots going to be useful in a drone environment. The purchase proposed may be too large and too sudden, but the timeframe is dire. I still favour a split purchase and one with a much lower purchase price, I think the plan should involve replacing existing aircraft with identical aircraft, and using the old jets to service the new one where required. Also seeing if lockheed wants to lease some f35s. They are actually making money and not in debt unlike Canada. Perhaps a 5 or 10 year lease.

Ah this stuff is mostly politics.. police charge people who they feel like charging or have a vested interest to charge. Regulating the sale of pot to minors makes sense because their parent or gaurdian should have veto on their use of substances which alter 'normal' mental functioning. Production should be restricted to safe areas and quantities, this means most pot should be grown indoors or where minors do not have access to it. The government recently changed the law regarding place and method of manufacture, I think this is bad if it is treated like tobacco because commercial tobacco industry increased the risks inherent in the quality of tobacco in regard to health risks over home grown tobacco. I think people should be able to grow pot like they can petunnias or other poisonous plants. Frankly lots of flowers are toxic and arn't banned from production. It really doesn't make sense. While I do call for a comprehensive drug strategy, prohibition is not the answer, a well managed drug trade that facilitates for self production and use while transferring sale and trafficking to the government will mitigate the criminal associated issues while providing access to drugs in an as safe as possible way that will facilitate care harm reduction strategies. Drug trafficking laws should be increased but only after the government provides a means of access to drugs. I strongly oppose a medical monopoly on access to drugs whether prescription or not. We need to harshly crackdown on abuse of these substances, but we should not block access to leisure or medicine, but we must incorporate drug use and monitor drug use for medical insurance purposes. Of course it goes against the interests of organized crime, so it will be hard pressed to be realized, none the less that's my two cents. There is a whole economy based on this that ties into other criminal activities. It only makes sense for the government control and regulate as many aspects of commercial crime as possible. We however need to ask why exactly is access to these things prevented. A nanny state is a horrible thing, you don't regulate what I can eat, how much sun I can get, where I can swim, or other aspects, there is way too much government regulation, that is a problem. I would love for someone to convince me my libertarian beliefs are wrong and why, but this hasn't happened yet, so all I can say is reduce government control as much as possible and treat drug strategies as a mechanism of the government promoting a healthier lifestyle. Current government strategies serve to have a higher level of risk to life, security of supply, and criminal imbeddednes in society.

Vancouver Safe Injection Site --- A 10 Year Success Story
AlienB replied to G Huxley's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Just think how much safer and economical it would be if they sold the drugs there and applied profit to the cost of operations.. That is regulating the amount and quality of the drug, putting that into the cost of health insurance or medical treatment and rehab. It would reduce street sales and promote movement toward "cleaning up" the dirty side of drugs. -
Ok 17000 dollars on ads does not directly relate to how many votes. There are a lot of factors, however 17000 dollars can buy a lot of lawn signs, or ads in newspapers. Look at the price of one ad in a newspaper. How much does one campaign worker rallying troops bring in... how many for $17000. Look how much it cost to set up a website, or drive around a neighbourhood Having twice as much may not yeild twice as many votes, it may yield more than twice as many, the important point is that he is accused of willfully forging elections expense records to cover up a fraud. The outcome is secondary to the criminal mind.. this is a criminal act, forging government records for the purpose of getting money, and other benefits? Its not just election fraud, it is also fraud. It is clearly a criminal fraud in addition to an election fraud, this isn't just some check being paid by an employee of a company that his brother owned, this is altering elections records to be eligible for a position that he may not have been so as to get pay, access to privilege and other benefits. Putting frauds into government is a problem, encouraging them is worse. You'd have a solid recruitment point for MPs in old Kingston Pen if you worked with that kind of logic.

Economies change, it has been happening for hundreds and thousands of years. Of course with the onset of freetrade and globalization - non competitive businesses and areas will be shut down. Autarchy is an important principle It needs to be remembered though that some infrastructure ages and depreciates, some of it isn't useful for the purpose it was originally intended, and it makes no sense to support that infrastructure and business structure unless it serves new interests. Economic changes present oppourtunities though. For instance empty homes can be used for baby booming retireries who are not connected with the work side of things such as manufacture. Old factories could be turned into bingo halls or storage facilities for low cost goods that will have future demand at markup like food. None the less manufacture in most large scales doesn't require much human input anymore. The economy is being driven by technology both manufacturing and transportation. The needs of people are also changing too. The importance is insuring self reliance at every level of government, that is individualism with access to their own food, clothing and other cottage industry activities. Bear in mind family units were and are able to be self efficient. People just are use to an old way of living, the government and the people will need to adapt to economic changes. It cannot be understated while government may serve the elite ultra business powers with all the money, people themselves will need to adjust to being sold out to increased efficiency and profitability on the top. Ultimately it is not increased profit but still even with localized change unemployment rates are not severe. The trend of urbanization has been ongoing for a very long time, since urban areas existed essentially. You have to market it correctly. 1 people need access to resource. Well yes x or y unit is taken away from the economy, that economy is effected in some way, either you replace that unit or you will need to accept that loss. Take Waterloo for instance the loss of rim, being largely shattered and now being opened up for sale may effect the local economy in Waterloo no doubt, it is a global company that brings in resource. The loss of the farmers market may be able to be replaced in part but the loss of rim itself will not easily be replaced unless the new communications technology such as neural communications devices that interface directly with brainwaves start being made in Waterloo, there are however other industries like RIMs quantum communications and other systems that have potential global markets. The infrastructure of rim could be used by other companies, however the bottom line is if people don't buy it it don't get made. If you look at how the economy works, more and more new wealth is created in the form of goods while wealth is lost in the form of garbage and resource depletion. Resources in some areas will get depleted meaning the infrastructure of those areas is no longer needed. Wealth is a cultural value so if wealth is not worth it people won't pay, this is common sense. This is not to say RIM has no value but you need to adjust your operations to your profit. I will say outright rim still has a value but it needs to have customers. This is not an issue simply solved, the only thing the government can do is promote autarchy first by providing a system of providing for humans basic needs in facilitating production of goods needed for consumption, and second it needs to promote production of luxury goods, by facilitating for a free and open market, while also protecting the environment, and public safety and health. This would be a whole book to really address, but the bottom line is Canada is a free society and people get to move where they want and buy what they want. We cannot allow ourselves to be bought out by foreign enterprises and we should support local and regional companies, and cooperative enterprises are a good way of doing this. If people do not support fair and reasonably priced products produced locally that is their choice. People live and die, just some with more fanfare, and others faster. Stuff ain't free, either you got it or you don't. That's all there is too it. Now boo hoo, as stated biological life is on a timer you don't like it realize its going to come out but people are best if they are in that situation accepting life for what it is, and accepting that it ends and they have to live with nothing, face starvation or death. That is the type of world that was made for humans to live in. What do you expect a revitalization based on what? If you don't want to work make robots to do it for you, you don't want to think make AI.. but if you can't or they don't use humans, and if you can't get humans to work for you, then you will need to feed yourself and find your own water and shelter if you want to survive. You can't manage stuff that people will kill you not to manage, otherwise it leaves to only civil disorder, or rule by force. A one person overthrow is heavily futile, they label those people nutjobs and terrorists depending on how much they have done. Activists are often people who don't use force against people but would otherwise fill that same niche of dissidents to corrupt rule. The world is run by sociopaths. Introduce new businesses or fill in the gaps... is it a problem, no, is it a change, yes.

Nuclear waste to be stored near Lake Huron
AlienB replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
'Cops infiltrate protest groups all the time, in some cases they run them. You would be suprised how heavily the government has in the past set up 'undercover' operations. I find this funny because Bruce Nuclear is right there... storage on site seems to make sense, however, the stuff is definitely dangerous, I do wonder though, what they propose be done with it. Also nuclear plants are commonly right next to water and dump their hot water right into the lakes. It would make sense to have the site a safe distance from the lake, but I think that perhaps it is planned so the water can be used to clean up the mess, as a nuclear fire can benefit from large amount of water. In the event of sabotage to pumping infrastructure, pumpers might be able to access lake water. None the less there are plenty of abandoned mines kicking around, maybe I am wrong with just dumping the stuff in some abandoned mine that is repurposed The other problem is transport though.. you want the storage facility as close as possible... makes sense perhaps to just build storage buildings right on the Bruce site as there is a bunch of forest surrounding the plants that could be redeveloped into storage sites. none the less something has got to be done with it, and transporting the stuff is a risk. The only thing you can do as a law abiding citizen is to completely ignore the police. Let them do their job. Feeding cops is just asking for trouble though, they at times do not just simply inform they are panning for grounds to exert control over the other party. They aim to be in charge and control, and to insure that they keep people under their power. It is all repression, while it could be their job, the real problem comes into play when their tactics are unethical, or their objectives are unlawful because they aim to oppress law abiding individuals, or they aim to entrap or frame people into illegal actions. IE spook operations, panning for information, misapplication of the law to hurt other people they don't like, trying to get even with people for protecting their privacy etc.. unfortunately cops are made special and commonly infringe peoples privacy. All you can really do is put up a no trespassing sign on your property with no solicitation or government agents, police etc.. allowed in the notice, and press charges if they show up uninvited as well as deliver a prohibition notice to all policing agencies in your community. Of course cops may just be jerks and ignore the notice, but if the courts ignore the trespass charges, and if they continue to show up.. and the harassment charges are ignored it just demonstrates corruption of justice, and the fact that the law is not respected by the justice system, it is just a private society of people who do what they want, and at times use the law to support some of their actions. I've had cops simply refuse to leave my property before after notice, they pretty much ignore the law. While cops can be useful when they do their job, they don't always do it, and they have a prerogative to exercise their duties, that is they can refuse to press charges and instead force you to press charges. In this event, what I would be wondering is, if plain clothes will be obstructing the protest, participating in it, or some other function, none the less, it may just be site security. Having lots of people around can increase the notice it has, however if the plainsclothes engage people who show up at the protest to misdirect it, or to dissuade public participation it would be a governmental abuse, as it would in effect be a spook. \ However, the reasons for the plainsclothes is unknown... why are they there, is it security. they say they are protecting the protesters, why is there a risk to protesters in this situation? Who plans on endangering them? sounds like investigative profiling and starting up the police file... for the intelligence banks.. anyone sketchy out there? etc. protest = upset people upset people + nuclear wastes = potential incident... nuclear regulations were up until a few years back really lax, it is not entirely a bad thing to have investigation.. I would not be surprised if the entire organization is a front to get a list of antinuclear people in the area. to say the least police showing up at someones door may not be the least of these people interactions right now, eg. taps either by local police or NSA/CIA etc.. but I really don't get the logic of taking of police officers time to protect the protesters, as there is no identified threat. Something doesn't seem right, if there is no threat, why are cops doing security detail .. it appears as faulty logic or a lie by police who have alternative purposes, which leads to the unethical conduct / misconduct issue mentioned above. I don't know but that is the duck. Perhaps the general public really isn't aware of the unethical conduct, but for myself it only adds to a further bad image of police who constantly lie and perform unethical conduct in the course of their job against law abiding individuals. It really is disturbing that this is just the norm of government. It is disturbing that Canadians choose to live in an unethical society run by dishonest people, then expect them to testify about crimes and events even though they are pathological, manipulative and otherwise straight face liers. Now I don't know all the details here, but that is how it appears with the info provided, but I have to admit I don't have enough info to form a concrete opinion on this. bear in mind I applaud the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for being proactive in this matter, however the police potentially providing misinformation may have sullied this whole issue and sowed discord.. it should have been CSIS that showed up at their doors not the OPP. Also in regard to lies, I really don't know but the two stories don't meet one another so there is misinformation in there somewhere. I do not understand why the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission could not conduct its own investigation though. As such i think without grounds for police involvement the request for police may have been an abuse, and form of harassment without lawful grounds which would make the comission and municipalities conducting themselves unlawfully, and infringing individauls charter rights. thus a lawsuit against the commission may be applicable for charter breaches.7 of but right the comission is beyond the law "18. (1) No civil proceedings may be brought against any member or other person or authority acting on behalf or under the direction of the Commission for anything done, reported or said in good faith in the course of the exercise or performance or purported exercise or performance of any power, duty or function of the Commission under this Act or for any alleged neglect or default in the execution in good faith of any such power, duty or function" thus they have to sue the queen on this one. however is lying to the public a good faith activity? In this regard it may be integrated national security task force as opposed to an opp action... but no clue. http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/N-28.3/ The OPG statement needs to be looked into more...to verify the basis of those statements The only thing I can see as possible here under the law is that the comission is informally investigating...? but it does seem to mesh as per Assistance of peace officers (7) A peace officer shall provide such assistance as the Commission or a member of the Commission may request for the purpose of maintaining order during proceedings before the Commission. bear in mind also the absence of notice of any such court order on the matter????????? Enforcement of orders of the Commission (8) Any decision or order of the Commission may, for the purpose of enforcement, be made a rule, order or decree of the Federal Court or of a superior court of a province and may be enforced in like manner as a rule, order or decree of that court. However this simply does not make sense. note also though http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/09/22/opp_quizzing_us_witnesses_too_at_lake_huron_nuclear_waste_hearing_walkom.html notice the "organizations like Greenpeace might demonstrate and that police didn’t want any fatalities" this would be either a fear tactic or raising the fact that if protests happen at or near a nuclear facility deadly force may be used. This may thus go back to the plainsclothes protecting the protesters from nuclear safety people who are armed with submachine guns--- and may not even be Canadian... with availability of use of lethal force. none the less I'm not 100% sure but the police maybe could just come right out and explain that if a protest happens near a facility cards would fall in place to disperse the protest, and resistance might produce use of deadly force due to national security interests. but this seems like an odd scenario and also very cryptic which leaves a lot to be determined. I think the liason team needs to be looked at more to see if they are putting misinformation or creating fear in the public which would be raising public alarm and potentially threats which would be criminal acts. I simply don't know but it leaves a lot to be wondered as the whole story simply isn't being released by police and a press release on this matter with full disclosure might be useful. Introducing the concept of use of deady force in regard to protests is not just a statement you should drop I think that needs to be fully explained and the risks really ought to be explained, such as by saying in what circumstances might protesters expect use of deadly force. These are not armed protesters so the use of deadly force really needs to be explained. It is also important to note that US senators are involved in this,, which may inclusively add the FBI and SS to the list of interested agencies. I really don't know though. Michigan Senate Resolution 58 http://www.theoaklandpress.com/general-news/20130524/michigan-senate-passes-resolution-against-canadian-nuclear-waste-dumping-near-lake-huron imo The site makes sense for various reasons, but no it isn't safe, but it is probably as safe as bruce nuclear itself.. these groups need to provide an alternative that is doable. otherwise saying storing nuclear wastes is unsafe or nuclear power is unsafe is an obvious statement but the wastes exist. What is the alternative? To me storing them deep underground is better than storing them above ground at the bruce site like they are now.. and have been for years. people need to understand this is an improvement. "Ontario Power Generation operates the Western Waste Management Facility in Tiverton, Ontario, next to the Bruce station. The facility stores all of the low- and intermediate-level nuclear waste from Bruce's eight reactors; the four reactors at the Darlington station, 20 miles east of Toronto; and the six reactors at the Pickering station, just east of Toronto." An alternative site needs to be proposed, and note limestone is much easier to dig through than granite. -
Should an MP who won by election fraud really be able to get a pension for those years, that is insane he should have to repay his salary for all those years as he gained it by fraud if he did it. second every law he voted on, should be assessed to see if his vote effected the outcome, and his comments should be noted in the hansard as being by a shill. None the less these steps probably won't happen, but parliament is far too generous with itself because corruption is a norm in Ottawa. This is much like the ignorance of online malicious hacking and fraud getting a slap on the wrist... laws need to be tougher on these "white crimes" they should have serious sanctions, election fraud is one of the worst fraud that exists... its things like this that scream for tarring and feathering to be re-instituted. people should fear cheating in elections. they should be stripped of their property and citizenship, sent to a work camp or exiled for the worst offence against democracy that exists. Has this ruling had its appeals exhausted yet though?

This isn't entirely true adapative matrials exist now than can change the shape of wings. likewise like you could also have to wing types or wings that adjust like old us or russian jets. Adaptive materials are new thus expensive but really they arn't but companies will make millions off the tech when it gets marketed. carbon composite and reactive materials are things to look into mechanical gears have turned into molecular gears.

so pay more, I'm already paying $10 for important mail, what does $1 as opposed to 70 cents really matter. If fedex wants to offer lower letter mail rates or other carriers whatever. Services cost what they cost. it isn't really fair to ask the general public to subsidize when it should be the people using the services to pay for them. The government will be forced to change the way it operates. Some aspects of government refuse electronic communications, and really that is a problem because they delay everything by creating mail logs. None the less businesses who want paper records will do so. There is no doubt that the transition to electronic services still exists. Sometimes though lettermail is safer.. and more private, email in general is not private anymore all communications are monitored. You therefore must communicate via courrier or post if you want relative confidentaility that isn't logged into the electronic hive mind. People who want the service will pay. I'm in a rural area so I get my mail by post office box. People in the city have it too good. None the less, if people are willing to pay for the service they should be able to request it. I think this needs to go to the communities and they should decide if they want to pay for the enhanced service. There is no doubt though that the users should be the ones paying for the service. Canada Post does good though, they provide poboxes for free. There is some level of public service in CP, so yes there should be some public funds.. however enhanced services vs. lowest common denominator services are two seperate matters. Let people pay for better services. That arnt for postal notices. The issue ends up being how can people get safe delivery, and distributed population locations wherebye there isn't enough room to service everyone. When you look at the alternative though Canada post has wiggle room to raise its service rates. For sucessful businesses these are tax write offs though, so you have to question why are we subsidizing business while taxing the people. We need to think critically about this. You will have inbuilt subsidization anyway, and you can only improve economy, and sustainability by having businesses seriously question their corporate practices. The company needs to manage itself though but that isn't based upon eCommerce. Canada post is and hould continue to be transfered into a service canada role. That really is its future. We need to talk about secure government services, and secure business services. Secure ecommerce through the government provider.. the organization has potential but really the future identity should be parcel delivery and service canada supports, and specific secure business, personal, and government communications. In general there is no money maker, and the rate can go up to around $10 before it is a courier service. Its really just a service for people who don't want to be electronically monitored.

Who thinks Canada needs to be much more right wing?
AlienB replied to rightwingcanadian's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I can't even stand in a public square without being hastled by police. The country is way too much of a police state. Every time I leave my house the chance of getting questioned by police is probable. Its just fascist corporatist and completely normalized. Even when people arn't breaking the law, they still get hastled. Thats a problem, its not about left or right wing, it should be about personal liberties, people should have their personal liberties, we shouldn't be forced to conform to a police cult that enforces fancy. People on welfare isn't the problem, its a workfair system that is so poorly managed it doesn't support itself that is the problem. Its just failure by design to enhance the fascist police state. And no we don't need more of it. Sadly no Canada is too corrupt and morally decrepit if right wing doesn't equal liberty we don't need more of it. It is prison planet, and the free are being forced to a lockdown. Only the wage slavery and corporate masters are given their semblance of freedom. It is just fostering loss of support. I could be waging war against the system and they wouldn't know what hit them, instead I'm being peaceable and I'm being walked on. That is a failed system. I'm utterly disgusted at the state of society in Canada, it is run by scumbags, and no we don't need more of it. None the less that is the world, not changing any time soon. None the less not getting my support any time soon. It really doesn't matter. Policital alignment is a fabrication, its about what rights individuals have, and how much the government controls people, that is all that matters, the left and right both do that. It is socialization factor that matters, not how many people form the controlling party, if people don't have equal rights, left right doesn't matter, in or out is all that matters. Government in its current state is just a make work project for control freaks and hyperfixaters. Just a whole lot of BS to let bad management stay in control. -
Ok I was a little suprised to see that new legilsation is being proposed to force people who are convicted of crimes, (after they have served their sentence) to need to notify the government... before they travel so that the government can provide notice to the foreign government that they are a criminal. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/offenders+will+need+notify+before+leaving+Canada/8918239/story.html I seriously question the constitutionality of this one, first off it is extrajudicial punihment, although this is not new with the Harper government, Canadians are suppose to have the right to enter leave or remain in Canada. Normally people are suppose to finish their punishment when they end their sentence... now its indefinite records, and now exit restrictions. Seems unconstitutional but I'm sure the blood and torture people will be cheering this one on. Being someone who was wrongly convicted of a crime (not a sexual offence though), I feel sorry for anyone who is wrongly convicted and has their constitutional rights stepped on as a result of this government. But hey atleast they arn't putting your RCMP file in your passport yet, even your pardons, or discharges, police contacts and other background data. None the less is this not obviously unconstitutional? enter remain or leave.. that is a mobility right.. why are their preconditions on departure? Also why just sexual offenders, are other indictable offences just not important to warn foreign governments about? Makes no sense. It is clearly a breach of the charter as well as standards of human rights codes. The gov should just move to imbedded data in passport if they are seriously concerned about criminal backgrounds of people, this sexual offenders only stuff is pure bs. It is just idiocy if you can't trust them on the outside why the hell would you let them out. It is idiocy. Make life setences with no chance of parole if you can't trust them, why the heck do you have varying amounts of time if it doesn't equate rehabilitation. Get these idiots out of office, the whole basis of justice is absent from their reasoning. Their logic is either they can't be trusted, or they should be punished. Just backward mentality and wholely unhealthy. Give people the option of the death penalty, and keep people who are permanent risk the hell out of general society. This is no nonsense. Keeping the sex offenders in Canada does not help Canadians, if you are worried they might reoffend. The logic is just a concerted attack against one class of convicted persons, and wholely fails to address the real issue, that is management and warning of public dangers. Sexual offences are not the only type of serious crime. Why exactly are you ignoring murderors, and theives and fixating on the sexual offenders. At the heart of it though, you should be insuring that people have access to fair trial, and that the level of hearsay, needs to be corroborated with real evidence. The threshold of conviction is too low in Canada to insure fairness in punishment of people on a basis of hearsay. On a basis of he said she said judges are willing to convict and this means wrongful conviction only requires someone to say someone did something, that isn't a safe threshold of conviction to destroy peoples lives, walk over their constitutional and human rights. It is unforgiveable that a government is so ignorant of thier own civil liberties and protections, and is so willing to victimize its own populace. That is not good government.

Canadian Military or Foreign Aid
AlienB replied to the janitor's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
My Defence Policy is still to open up volunteer militias, give a tax break to people who buy their own militia equipment. Much like the US the more supply there is the lower the costs get and the more there is available when needed. None the less I think the military should be tasked with both northern development and infrastructure and resource, maritime services including shipping. So that it can raise its own resources and be able to secure vital resources in times of need. Canada has a lot of development potential that is untapped. In addition I think the military should be rolled into the public service to shift retiring workers positions into military positions perhaps with reduced hours or shared workload, and shifting some operations to military facilitites for security purposes like IT, communications, etc.. Canada is spending, none the less in replacing all of Canada's mlitary equipment after giving it away and or loosing it...... which is curious... there is no doubt that the costs will be high. Its not about costs its about getting what you need for the lowest cost possible. Need is not want. I think the military needs to open up buying allowances to people. Fact is though if all those companies selling the kit are posting multi million or billion dollar profits the costs arn't really the costs. I have an indepth plan to shift spending away from general revenue expand available personnel and shift procurement to Canadian Crown corporation production as opposed to buying off american owned companies.. but of course this will never happen for obvious reasons. This includes training more CF personnel to build and maintain their own equipment. Tool and die, or machining is not complex and by god most men should know how to do it. Likewise electronics isn't complex etc.. I am of the impression people are just not being developed and they could be and costs would go down while improving capacity. I was really phazed when I saw an article saying CF hiring more fat uneducated people due to lack or new educated and health recruits.. for real? this is surprising.. I was of the impression everything was so tight with staffing reductions the quality would have shot up. None the less training is key people who are fat needn't stay fat, also people who are uneducated needn't stay uneducated. Of course "Balancing the ___ DEFICIT ____ " can be hard with big ticket items that arn't paying down the debt while borrowing to pay it down and falling short. -
I've already written Joe Oliver on this. This conversion project should only occur if security updates are done and all waterways have tripple layers of protection from leaks and there are regular audits of water quality and the pipeline. Transcanada has suffered extensive vandalism and even has had explosion on its gas pipe. I dread to think what could happen with an oil pipeline in its place. I can only hope that the project isn't done just lay industry standard pipe and move on. The pipe is bloody old and built by the mafia in large swaths of the stretch from manitoba to new brunswick. They cannot go into this without having serious serious serious developments for security, monitoring and daily audits of the line. It is a bomb waiting to go off, and the quantity of oil being shipped is relevant. I'm not opposed to development but I am opposed to development that is dangerous, and fails to adequettely protect the public in the communities that line the many waterways the line traverses. I don't know enough about this project yet... to be specfically critical but I have very little confidence in TransCanada to insure health and safety for the communities along the line, and by that I mean contaminating the local water ways that people fish pm and drink from. and that effect the environment, migratory species and so many other factors. At the same time I have little confidence in the government to insure those things also... as it has taken no proactive measures to resolve the rail security faults. It is so unfortunate for the future victims of this project when they materialize.

This is not true. https://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&gl=ca&tbm=nws&authuser=0&q=marijuana+study&oq=marijuana+study&gs_l=news-cc.3..43j43i53.2362.8462.0.8727.21.4.4.13.17.0.187.545.0j4.4.0...0.0...1ac.1.pmD9H9I8JpU Actually more recently there have been a lot of positive pot studies. The real issue is with heavy smoking of pot. Casual use of pot actually can be used for various health benefits. Now take away the smoke and put in edibles, and vapourizers and you eliminate most of the issue with pot.. THE SMOKE. the plant itself is good. You can drink pot with some tea and hot olive oil etc.. and you get all the lasting effects but no smoke in the lungs. Try smoking tea leaves and you will have much the same issue, try smoking coffee, or smoking alchohol. Pot itself is not the problem it is the culture that surrounds it that can create problems based upon use. Smoking is common in some cultures for sheesha, pot, tobacco the list goes on.. water bongs etc.. can clean the smoke out a bit. None the less... pot is not the ememy, smoke inhalation is, as is the oxygen deprivation of starving the body of oxygen for prolonged periods. This is a no brainer.. pot is not evil, all types of thick smoke are. To find out the margin between "general heavy smoke inhalation" and "pot use in not smoke inhalation methods" needs to be done to be critical of the plant. I know you will find that pot isn't at all the demon it is made out to be in terms of lung cancer once you stop inhaling copious amounts of smoke on a daily basis. You could say the same as tobacco, nicotene in non lethal amounts is just a drug that calms people and some other effects. Then you get cigarettes crammed with all kinds of crap. When you look at THC for example as a cannaboid it is a beneficial substance, inhaling large amounts of smoke should be illegal, not THC.

Well the point it is at now is to just ask the Supreme court which is I think all but one or two conservative appointments. The idea is just to ask the supreme court if the government can remove the senate on its own. The government is saying basically, well, since we are the government we get to decide on all functions of government including parliament. Effectively the senate however manages its own affairs. It would be judicial intererance. While the senate could conduct itself improperly, this would be grounds for the governor general to declare senate seats vacant after about two years. The senate could agree to disolve but after two years the prior senators would be void and new senators could be appointed. Otherwise it would require a constitutional amendment (amendments) if going by history under the amending formula of the constitution 1982. Anything other than this is just a fabrication, and not in anyway following parliamentary law. In essence the commons does not run parliament it is the lower house of a three leveled parliament. It has the privilege of proposing law. Government is only suppose to "administer law" it isn't suppose to invent law, or change government.

J Trudeau Promises to Extend Immigration for Family Class
AlienB replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm all for an open borders policy on resident status based upon payment of a residency fee. As well as making immigration easier based upon payment for citizenship, not as an exclusive qualifier but a major qualifier. Canada is underpopulated. Provinces need input into the immigration process though. None the less healthcare should be privatized under a crown corporation to manage itself based upon a national health insurance plan. None the less immigrants are no less a problem then problem citizens. -
IMO on the senate we should be reducing public service jobs, transferring work load over to new houses that better represent a "national" election system, that is people voting nationally instead of ridings. Like presidential elections but without boundaries just people with the most votes get into a new house of representatives by number of votes not by challenges. IMO we also should have a better petition system and the public should have a vote after legislation has been finalized, all legal changes should go to a referendum (via atm type voting, with safegaurds to insure vote accuracy) Changes need to be made but we shouldn't be eliminating organs were should be healing them, and making the creature stronger, or livable. It is unfortunate if in the public mind, enough controversy can be created, the PR damage will allow the public to be fooled into sacrificing something that is useful to the public. Less representation is not better government. Clearly they need a lot more people to get things right based on their current track record in policy creation. Things really arn't made well.
