Really? Sem is a person in the Torah, Koran and the Bible. Semites believe they are the sons of Sem, which includes both Jews and Arabs. Etymologicaly Sem is the Semitic word for Sun. So the word Semitic can be interpreted as 'People of the Sun.'

You are changing the meaning of the word by denying that the word Semitic applies to Arabs like it says in the Websters dictionary. Anti is simply a prefix meaning opposed that can be added to anything.

It does mean that. It also means hostility toward or discrimination against Arabs as a religious, ethnic, or racial group as anti means opposed and Semitic includes Arabs.

You might want to use a less broad term then and say simply anti-Jewishism.

That's silly. The current definition of Antisemitic you are using is antisemitic, because it doesn't include Arabs in the term, when in the same dictionary it says the word Semitic applies to Arabs as well.

The websters dictionary says that Anti means opposed and that Semitic means both Jews and Arabs, so if it fails to include Arabs in the term Antisemitic then it is failling its own dictionary definition of both Anti and Semitic.
