  1. He does have a point. We have seen the rise in the rate of hate crimes against moslems in UK since Brexit and also elsewhere. There are those "few" that will kill any moslems non-discriminately.... Calling it ridiculous won't let it go away!
  2. The US and the West would have approached Turkey differently if it wasn't part of Nato, didn't have to use the Incirlik base and their interests protected...Plus the fact that Turkey does not have a commodity starting with small "o"! Something that has instigated many wars in the oil rich Middle East countries by the west in the name of 'humanity', 'democracy', 'peace keeping' But that aside if US wanted Turkey they wouldn't attack it. They probably create proxy wars between two strong muslim nations like Turkey and Egypt so that they become weak and then an easy target for attack. Remember Iran/Iraq war supported by the West? Remember the subsequent war with Saddam under the pre text of false claims that Iraq has nuclear weapons??? Evidences of the western manipulations in these countries are there....
  3. Rue..... Incase you missed the clue this thread is about judaism....Let's not have your paranoia get the better of you. This thread is about some religions and what is essentially wrong with them. Judaism is one of them whether you like it or not it has it's shortcomings! Deal with it. Your knee jerk reaction about any comments made on jews or the netanyahu's filthy policies shows very much where your loyalty lies. I am not defending the moslems but am sick and tired of people like you pretending to show themselves as 'unbiased' towards the Israel/Palestine conflict but oblivious to the crimes the israeli government is carrying out against palestinians and always justify their actions. How convenient for you to put on your canadian hat when it suits yo! You are amongst those silent majority that refuse to see the wrong in what you are doing but when a palestinian acts in self defence you resort to your PR machine to spew hatred against them calling them terrorists.... Lol! as for the list of people, you know exactly who they are. I have seen you lot colluding on topics and making a thread drift at any length to repudiate facts...DOP, JBG, Rue, Bush-Cheyney are just some of the members here with this track record... The very fact that you cannot even accept the lie Betsy has written here and instead come after me shows how bigoted you are! If YOU geninuely cared about moslems you wouldn't treat non-jews the way you demand that the jews are always the victims and moslems are evil.... You cannot have it both ways Rue by the expecting the israeli government to screw the non-jews and you guys are the 'defenseless good guys' wanting to live in peace whilst giving hell to palestinians. You are the one who tacitly approves all the actions of israeli government and will justify their actions in the name of being a good old canadian citizen. Now let me be clear incase you have difficulty understanding. I believe your views do not represent all jews as there are extremists in any religion. You have the tendency to isolate people you disagree with and ridicule them by name calling when they are wrong and pretend their views donot represent the majority. Don't flatter yourself... Homework start at your own doorstep before preaching about who is anti jew and who isn't... I had no inclination to respond to the quote you have taken from a passage as that was not relevant to my post I replied to Betsy...
  4. There are certain aspects of any religion culturally that may be alien to us all whether judaism, hiduism, christianity or islam. Islam and judaism have similarities in many aspects. Some unique aspects that are rigorously followed by some sects in judaism are things like they cannot tear a toilet roll on (Saturdays) no use of electrical equipment, no strarting up the car, etc... I knew a friend who worked for a jewish company. She told me some men at work were extremely religious, bearded and see themselves superior to non jewish workers in the manner they speak and behave (Note I use the word some as there are religious elements in all religions) Most jewish women at work are very conservatively dressed to the point that you can distinguish them from others (again somthing that is discriminately labelled to all moslem women), it is not unusual to see couples in their early thirties having 4/5 kids (This is something that is always perceived of moslems and immigrants having larger families), customary clothing by some men of "shtreimel", with long white socks and a skirt, pork, shrimps and even certain fishes are considered non-kosher (again not eating pork is something that is only associated to moslems only) The point is there are many cultural aspects and religious beliefs that may be alien to us but it is pretty normal to the daily lives of other religions...Judaism and Islam have commonalities but it tends to be moslems that are ridiculed everytime unconditionally and discriminately.
  5. No one including me gives a damn on what you think.... Perhaps Next time I see a knee jerk reaction maybe you ought to defend the moslem population as well and not remain quiet as you usually do... Afterall, if you are for fairness in all religions and call the spade a spade and telll the truth then speak up for misinformation on moslems when it's due!!!! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/mondoweiss.net/2016/12/legislation-rights/amp/?client=safari https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/voices/anti-semitism-theresa-may-new-definition-jewish-council-holocaust-society-israel-criticism-palestine-a7470166.html%3Famp?client=safari http://onenewsnow.com/education/2016/12/13/new-law-passed-to-stem-anti-semitic-tide-on-campuses Now go and read about your fascist government in Israel trying to appease internal pressure for not appearing right wing enough....one mess after another: http://mondoweiss.net/2016/12/political-pressure-netanyahu/
  6. It doesn't stop people like betsy to lie though does it? I mean afterall if the mud sticks why not not wrongly accuse the entire muslim population, spread misinformation and flame hatred? If Someone incites these hatred against the jews the new law will brand them as anti semites but to do that to moslems is okay. It''s just a matter of pushing the boundaries. Besides moslems don't have as much influence on western governments...
  7. I think his point is that you need to take an unbiased view, which isn't subjective and blames everything squarely on the entire muslim world.... There are many of those brainwashed, twisted individual who discriminately commit crimes against muslims like this idiot.... http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/forest-hill-stabbing-man-stabs-9443379 https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/forest-hill-stabbing-kill-muslims-attacker-suspect-station-london-train-a7470016.html%3Famp?client=safari This is quite frightening but so is our media brainwashing sheeps...
  8. Ou mean people like this fruitcake.... Be careful what you wished for. You may be called anti semite if you extended same curtesy to other religions....
  9. UK government has given approval for Saudi Arabia to sit on the UN assembly fir peace....How hypocritical is that! A country that lashes women, abhorable history for violence and poor human rights, carries out terrorist activities HAS A SEAT IN UN FFS!!! How hypocritical is that! Next time people here or elsewhere moan about poor human rights records in other countries just bear in mind the hypocrisy of western governments....
  10. He did tell the truth but it's a shame the government is distancing itself from his comment...
  11. That's how I feel about this.... There's so much in the news about insurgents killing ordinary civillians but no mention of who these surgents are....I am not surprised if the british government is deliberately engaging in proxy wars to counter Iran and Russia....
  12. I mean in all honesty we know where the source of ISIS comes from. I cannot fathom why the british government is supporting such barbaric regime in Saudi Arabia? It is kniw that SA is the source of terror for arming sunni ISIS pals killing innocent civillians. A regime with a track record where women are treated so poorly, a regime that has not taken a single refugee since the crisis and yet we suck up to the house of Sauds! Could it be that Boris is speaking his mind and he should have been abit more robust in questioning the motivation behind suporting such a brutal regime? As the newly appointed foreign minister he is set to travel to Saudi Arabia next week. His visit ironically is set to improve relationship with the house of sauds and signing potentially lucrative deals, which comes in handy post Brexit... Bottom line is such measures shiws the hypocrisy of UK government supporting this barbaric regime and ultimately arm ISIS to prolong the war and mass killings in the Middle East. It is the mess that we in the West not only ignore but inflame by these kinds of interventions.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38248316
  13. Appreciate the sentiment but a bit early for Xmas wishes...That said the advent calendar is up in our office and there's certainly that feeling of festive mood in the air. The religious aspect aside it is a wonderful time for everyone regardless of their religious background to share the joy and respect it. One does not have to be a Christian to celebrate... Merry Xmas to you all!
  14. If you asked this question from a turk you will know the response. People do take nationalistic pride in their countries whether its a turk, american, canadian, iranian, jew etc. Reality is Turks are sunnis. ISIS with a long held view of affiliation to Saudi Arabia is also sunni. The factor that changes this dilemma is that turkish army uses the excuse to attack kurds under the pretext of fighting ISIS. This is evident from their systemic attacks on northern Iraq imho.
  15. Deal with this... Oh yes....We are all aware of fake news...But at least some of us are seeking the truth instead of repeating the same regurgitated cr@p spewed all over here... 17. The 1953 coup against Iran took place because of the western interventions mainly by CIA and MI6 to oust the democratically elected Dr Mossadegh for the oil interests.... Maybe we should take a revisionist approach to this next time talking about "other countries"...
  18. The objective should not confine to neutralise PKK terror cells or their proxies but to eradicate the ISIS that happen to be sunni to avoid making Turkey look opportunistic...
  19. ISIS is a formidable force that must be countered and controlled. It is possible if regional powers Iran and Turkey collaborate with the help of Russia...
  20. Yeah cause you all look similar to an aborigine in Canada as you stated in another post right!? What a twisted logic....
  21. Another famous and great singer in Turkey of kurdish origin. Is he singing in farsi, armenian or arabic? Hmmm.... why should his kurdish identity polarise his singing ability? I guess that be hard to fathom from a generation of millenials.... Sadly he has been shot and can no longer sing. He had a fantastic voice and very well known across Turkey and regional countries.
  22. Ignorance is a bliss and you are not short of it... There is nothing original about turkish identity when you call kurds a mixture of iranian and armenians...you wrote it! Don't shoot the messenger...just because you don't have good relationship with armenians doesn't mean that you can propogate and spread misinformation... You cannot have it both ways Altai. That would make your statements absurd and superficial at best... The kurdish community are in many coutries...Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey. A kurd that lives in turkey is turkish (whether you like it ir not!) 1 in 4 people living in turkey is kurdish. They are more turkish than false claims of being iranian, armenian etc. This is a significant proportion of minority in your country that are treated like a second class citizen as is evident by your commentaries about kurds even in music section...
  23. Tells you alot about the turkish identity... Must be all that central asian mongol mixture into the heritage On a serious note Emrah is of Kurdish origin!! Considering every 1 in 4 person in Turkey is kurdish the weirdness in your eyes is part of your heritage. Deal with it... Btw, Emrah is not Iranian/ Iraqi or Armenian! Emrah İpek, also known as Emrah (January 1, 1971) is a Turkish singer and actor of Kurdish origin. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emrah_(singer)
