  1. Which proves the point that the idea of democracy is all relative... People can vote without knowing the ramifications post their voting.... You see that with many pro Brexit voters that regret their decision now! Many felt they were lied to.
  2. Jeremy Corbyn has not yet resigned... http://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2016/jun/28/brexit-live-cameron-eu-leaders-brussels-corbyn-confidence But I agree there is no credible opposition right now...
  3. Interestingly there is so much talk about article 50... All talks at the moment heavily hinges on this: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/27/europe-leaders-crunch-talks-brexit-fallout
  4. You want a link to prove to you that the UKIP leader is a rightwing!? That's like saying prove me it's is dark outside in daylight. There are tons of links about leave camp regretting their decision. Google search....
  5. It was quite obvious that the majority of the vote for leave camp came from Middle England! (which is tradionally a Tory stronghold) The endorsment of ultra right wings parties such as UKIP should tell you that. The majority in London, Scotland and Northern Ireland were in the remain camp. The funny thing is many of the voters in the leave camp actuall do 'regret' the decision for opting out as it was also evident in the shell shocked look of Boris Johnson after the results were announced... But that diesn't stop the likes of Farage to give false promises over £350ml funding provided to NHS....
  6. And ofcourse it becomes "pretty" clear when those delusional exremists jump on the bandwagon and use the pre-text of their xenophobic tendencies against "muslim extremists" when it's infact is a delusion in itself as is meant for all muslims...Just running short of saying it...Just revisit the history, which is full of such examples. The jews and homosexuals saw this predicament. Now is time to turn the screw on "extremist muslims" or infact anyone who practises that religion.....
  7. Tony Blair definitely wasn't a leftist nor did he have leniency towards left...Even within his cabinet he was known for his rightwing policies that very much resembled Tories and little about his policies set him apart...I don't know where you get this that makes you think he was a lefty!!!
  8. The difference is 'green party' diesn't stand a chance in party general elections. Labour and Conservative does....
  9. The vote on referendum in UK was based on an emotional decision not rational...Whilst you can argue that it keeps democracy alive it is all relative when casting vote is based on dishonesty, lies and propaganda to evoke those emotions....
  10. The only "Schadenfreude" that will be the remnant of this referendum is the legacy it has left for younger generations for years to come... The leave camp which was eschewed towards grey market had this preconception of good old Great Britain when it had a relatively stable manufacturing base and old coal mine industry. With all that gone post Maggie legacy we are now left with a service based industry as a country that is heavily reliant on EU. So these so called "older generations" can dream about the Great Britain as they thought back then but the reality today is something completely different.... Even before the massive surge of Eastern Europeans to UK there were many jobs available to Brits...The reality is a big sub-section of this society is quite happy to sit on their a** to collect their 'paycheck' dole from the government and not bothering to do a job whilst a Pole or other immigrants will happily do it simply because they are willing to work...
  11. According to google the two most searched questions the day after the Brexit for leave camps were: 1- How can you get an irish passport? 2- What does 'EU' stands for? Hmmm....
  12. Well, one might argue that the Persians did have the chance to govern themselves with a democratically elected government before the West (US and UK) deprived them from this chance through the 1953 coup.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat CIA admits role in 1953 Iranian coup https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/19/cia-admits-role-1953-iranian-coup The point is history is full of examples of the West's interference with Middle East and elsewhere for their own benefits and when the reality bites and there is a surge of immigrants/ refugees from those parts of the world then the blame is squarely placed on them...
  13. On that note about immigration what is it in essence to be British the bleeding far rights are winging about? This parliamentary speaker puts it well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Ois9_gOt0
  14. You bet your bottom Canadian dollar that will be the case....There is already over a million petition signed for EU referendum rule triggering a 2nd EU referendum
  15. And to add yet a little more salt to the wound... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N31iTGZG6sY
  16. I know this has already been exhausted to death in this thread but it's good to revisit this one more time... How old people have screwed over the younger generation - in three charts http://indy100.independent.co.uk/article/how-old-people-have-screwed-over-the-younger-generationin-three-charts--W1AA_n4nEb
  17. I am not concerned with this minor groups of fanatical moslems that are arguing for mass murder of non-moslems but rather the generalisation by some in the west that classify over billion of them as fanatics. If that's where we are heading where we claim all of them are the same then that would be a dangerous territory in my opinion.
  18. That is not true! Britain's reliance on imported food will increase costs for food manufacturers and the consumer....Foreign package holiday will become more expensive too.
  19. I shall ignore your comment on speed elevator. That elevator of yours has been stuck in the parking for some time... ...Back to the topic here where I can refresh your memory about what you said... http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums/topic/25585-britain-sets-date-for-eu-referendum-brexit/?p=1168774 But here is the reality that will bite some hard...The migrant poles have for long done a great work in UK and helped revitalise the economy in an otherwise competitive market. Now if I am an owner of a small business I am interested on who can deliver me the job at the lowest cost and most productive way. No love lost there if some of my British compatriots may not be able to deliver the same good at the rate a Pole can do. That's what keeps the business competitive....
  20. Sure it will take time but the reality is the average British holiday maker will have to fork in more to their favourite holiday destinations in Spain http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/eu-referendum-uk-brexit-spain-summer-holiday-2016-travel-advice-euro-money-currency-exchange-rates-a7087816.html This is not a fear mongering fantasy as you state but it's real. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/18/eu-facts-what-would-leaving-the-eu-mean-for-expats/
  21. There is no more UK manufacturing industry....It's gone. UK is primarily a service based industry! Nevertheless, there may be restriction of movements to and from UK and the article from Independent posted here states this.
  22. You are wrong! If anything the cost of the package holiday to European destinations will go up. http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/brexit-travel-europe-holidays-what-does-it-mean-latest-live-eu-referendum-result-a7099931.html
  23. Absolutely spot on! 100% agree with that sentiment...For those who think the next tory leader will have an easy job to clean up this mess you better think twice!
  24. Indeed very right sir! Back then jews were considered a threat and were murdered in masses for just being jewish. There was no distinction if colour skin. Today the same sentiment is rising in europe and elsewhere against "brown skinned" people aka moslems....
  25. Talk about farsical...The smear campaign by UKIP leader. This one from Nigel Farage with his promises to help NHS.... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-result-nigel-farage-nhs-pledge-disowns-350-million-pounds-a7099906.html
