  1. There is no conspiracy. What we have now came to be as a result of the natural progression that had occurred based on the influences of our current economic model. We have to look at what the market economy and monetary system truly produces. Personally, I think success would be ending something like world hunger or pollution, do you not agree those things should be priority? Our current economic system does not produces those results. The people in the middle east are protesting because of inflation on food and energy prices, they also have the highest unemployment rate for youth(ages 15-29) in the world at around 20% to 25%. Those are the reasons why they are protesting, it has nothing to do with democracy or religion. Do you get what I am saying? Those protests are a natural and predictable outcome if we simply look at things economically. Same thing goes for the new world order, what looks to be a conspiracy is a natural progression.
  2. It is globalization mixed with fascism. I don't think it is as much of a conspiracy as it is a structural problem with our economic and political systems that encourage this kind of behavior, that behavior being the consolidation of wealth and power.
  3. I drove from Winnipeg to Toronto to protest, I did not see any violence take place. I did however see three lines deep of police blocking intersections to allow bus fulls of police to drive by, they had to be trying to intimidate us there. They had police shoulder to shoulder within a fence circling a building when protesters were 10 feet away from the fence, nobody was charging the fence. They did not need even a quarter of the police that they had there.
  4. China and US demand for oil is rising, the supply is falling and the US dollar that is used to purchase oil is being devalued, this is why prices are going up.
  5. Why did protests start in Egypt. As you all know Egypt has a large desert, there is not much land for agriculture to take place so Egypt relies heavily on importing food, Egypt is the number one nation for wheat imports in the world. These imports are bought using US dollars. Right now America is devaluing the dollar by printing money which is driving up food and energy prices. The people of Egypt already spend a lot of their personal income on food and energy and they can't afford the rising costs so they are protesting. These protest will come to Canada and America too. Right now oil prices are going up, look what happened prior to the collapse in 2008 and what oil prices were then. If oil prices continue to go up, we will be heading for another devastating economic collapse.
  6. I perceive governments as being a form of public tyranny, this is why I advocate towards a small government. I also see corporations as being private tyrannies which I believe can be worse then the government because at least with the government the people have a voice even if it is a small one. I would rather see the workers or the people be in charge of production. I have done some research into ecosocialism which advocates using technology to relieve humans of labour while taking into consideration the health of the environment and the natural carrying capacity of the earth. I also believe that with the technical knowledge we have now, we can eliminate things such as scarcity.
  7. Please, tell me what they mean to you and what is the best way to achieve them.
  8. It can be if others freedoms are taken away. You do not have to be conservative to be a libertarian, you can still be on the left and still be a libertarian. I am a libertarian socialist.
  9. It isn't that totalitarianism comes from the left, the left encourages a welfare state and the right encourages a warfare state or a more coercive government. Both lead to bigger government which then has the potential to become a totalitarian state. You can't have totalitarianism if there isn't a strong central government already in place, that is where libertarianism comes in. Libertarians see decentralization as a good thing because it spreads power amongst more people instead of consolidating it. A stronger central government means a greater potential for having tyranny of the majority. An example of tyranny of the majority is marijuana prohibition, I know many people who enjoy smoking weed, they are productive members of society and do not harm others, yet due to the strong central government and tyranny of the majority, their liberties are taken away. Do you understand what I am saying?
  10. If your going to talk the libertarian approach, most libertarians would advocate the legalization of all drugs. If this happened there would be no crack dealer next door or Hell's Angels because there would be little to no profit in selling drugs in order for them to continue their operations. They could however open up a shop legally and I am sure then your perception of those neighbors would change, would you feel threatened if a bar tender moved in next door?
  11. Muslim is the culture of Islam, you can be Islamic and not a Muslim but you cannot be a Muslim and not Islamic.
  12. Those are all Mainstream Midia outlets, try doing your own personal research. They dislike us because we are over there killing their friends and family. Also, central banks most notably the Federal Reserve and the European central bank are exporting inflation to the whole world which is driving up food and energy prices which is making it harder for people to live, This is another reason why they are angry. I think it is more dangerous to assume that we are good and they are bad, that it is their misguided religious belief at fault.
  13. There is your problem, you are watching FOX News. People keep thinking that wars are fought over politics or religious beliefs but the majority of the wars, at their heart, they are economic wars. The root cause of people behaving hostility towards others is because of scarcity yet we neglect to address that issue.
  14. Or you can look at how much personal income they spend on food and energy and look at what is happening to food and energy prices. They can't afford to live, this is why they are protesting.
  15. Pliny is right. The US has guaranteed so much money that it simply cannot afford to pay for those liabilities. America will have to either cut benefits or borrow or print more money in order to pay for those liabilities. This is one of the factors that will lead to America's fall. Sometime and I hope soon, people will wake up and realize that this current market-money system is extremely flawed and we must produce a new more sustainable system that works in favour for all people.
  16. Why are you so nationalistic. The US is the largest economy in the world at the US dollar is the worlds reserve currency, of course the world economy is dependent on America.
  17. Yes there will be a global economic collapse and it will start with the US dollar collapsing.
  18. Fine, the economy is growing but it is growing only to service the debt. Imagine if America stopped QE2 or the government stopped running a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit, all the jobs that have grown up around that money would disappear. Eventually China will no longer finance America and they will not be able to print money to prop their economy up because inflation will get out of hand. America needs to start producing/manufacturing things again if they really want to grow the economy.
  19. America is spending borrowed money which gives the appearance of growth by the rise in the GDP. However, their economy isn't growing. I love how when Obama was talking about the new budget he was saying that over the next 10 years they will cut 1 trillion dollars in spending, that won't be enough to pay the interest on their debt and Obama can't bind other presidents or congress to a certain spending limit. He was just trying to make it sound like things are changing when it is really just business as usual.
  20. Socialism was meant to do the exact opposite. Socialist saw capitalism as a form of slavery where a small elite controlled the masses by controlling the means of production. Socialists wanted to free man from the grips of the elite and let the workers control the means of production as they saw fit. Socialism does NOT mean bigger government, it is an ideology like liberalism and conservatism.
  21. I guess I do not understand the point you were trying to make.
  22. I think condone was a poor choice of a word, I do not encourage such behavior. The church wants to remain profitable, it cant afford the bad publicity.
  23. That isn't evil, you may find it to be morally wrong but it is not evil. First you have to look at what conditions led to the pedophile becoming a pedophile to better understand him, maybe he was sexually abused as a child. There are reasons why he became a pedophile, there isn't some evil force behind it. For the record, I am not condoning that behavior.
  24. I don't know if Jesus did live or not but if he was alive now I am sure he wouldn't be spending his life worshiping himself, he would still go around helping others. What is his relevance today, there is not much, he is just an example of what love can do. As for evil, there is no such thing as evil, it is a perception relative to each individual which is highly impacted based on there culture. What some people see as evil, others do not. If you are wondering why people do things life rob banks or kill for money, those actions are directly related to our current economic system, it promotes that kind of behavior.
  25. Religion was suppose to about spreading the message of love. What did Jesus do? He went around helping the beaten, fallen and the damned. So what is love. From what I have come to understand it is seeing everyone and everything as being connected, seeing everything as one. That oneness if you want to call it that, that is god. But somewhere along the line Religion had been hijacked and now spreads the message of fear. Fear is seeing yourself as being by yourself, alone, scared. Now we are bombarded with fear from every angle, in the economy, terrorism, political unrest, global warming. Now I'll try and apply some science to this. Fear resonates in the left side of the brain along with logic, structure and rules, sounds a lot like western society. Love resonates in the right side of the brain. It seems that we have become a society of left brain thinkers, we need to somehow shift our consciousness in a way that embraces both the left and right sides of our brain.
