or is it a whitening of minorities? Hmmmm.
-
It's the same logic that people used to try to discredit BLM protests and label them all as rioters. A few bad actors are highlighted to paint the entire movement as awful. Your logic isn't bad here, but you can't cherry pick when and how you apply it to suit your world views.
-
Or did someone just mention it and move on? I'm not for the Emergencies Act and don't support but your reasoning seems to be that the truckers were unfairly characterized because some hooligans from Ottawa (how many? Who knows!) may have harassed some other locals at some point.
-
Oh gosh that sounds horrible. Blessed Constitertion save her.
-
How many? 5? ?

You have medical bodily autonomy. Do you have the vaccine yet? Were you tied down and forced to take it? Can you explain how the Charter and/or Constitution have been violated? You've been asked more times than I can count, but you're obviously unable to.
-
Okay, but they haven't been, at least not until the Emergencies Act. On this I'm a little suspect but it hasn't even gone through the Senate yet. I do not believe it was necessary, that it's still necessary or that it was reasonably justified. You can only have one consensus. If there's more than one "consensus" then you don't really have a consensus. While it's perfectly reasonable to critique and ask questions about that consensus, outright denying it based on your feelings or individual perspective has always been foolish. The strongest arguments the anti-vaxxers made were ones about their discomfort with a new vaccine. That much is fair and reasonable, superstitious and misguided as it may have been. The dredging of social media and conspiracy websites for "proof" for their fears, however, and their trumpeting this garbage around as ironclad proof is what leads to all the eye-rolling.

and your foolish hyperbole will be proven wrong again, just like all the other times. The bigger danger to democracy is the delusional coping of fringe groups who zealously crusade against common sense, fact and reason.
-
I was specifically asking what Right Wing meant to him, but that's fine. He doesn't have an answer because there isn't one. It's a matter of perspective. Free speech is an important pillar of any free society, but it isn't and shouldn't be limitless. If you can agree that someone's not allowed to utter threats to another or commit fraud, then you already agree to limits on free speech. If you agree with that, then you can agree that there are other limits. No doubt things go too far sometimes and Michael and I have had looong debates about "woke" overreach, but the answer to it isn't an equally hysterical but opposite counter-reaction.

I find it eerily fascinating how quickly some people fall back on Nazi comparisons here these days. Godwin's Law is a well-established rule in most reasonable discussion groups and the moment someone tosses out a Nazi comparison it's clear they've lost the debate because. It demonstrates a clear and obvious failure to articulate their point. Here, it's glorified - like a doubling-down on stupid.
-
The irony of this post is majestic to behold. Gimme some of your copium.

OR this is a pathetic coping mechanism you employ to de-humanize people who disagree with you and make you feel more justified in your nonsensical rambling. Tritely dismissing your opposition as commies/fascists is a nice and comfy delusion that spares you the mental effort/anguish of trying not to trip over your bad logic.
-
So, you can't/won't actually explain it. Okay got it. From an outside perspective, it seems like "Right Wing" is people that Yzermandius19 agrees with, and everyone he doesn't agree with is...not? Feel free to correct me and explain your reasoning. I'm genuinely interested in hearing it.
-
You have us fooled. Your vocabulary seems to be pretty small on this forum, but you're far from alone on in that.
-
Well this is a fascinating brand of utter nonsense. Who, exactly, determines what is and isn't "right wing"? Let's see you explain that one. I'll wait.
-
Run that logic for yourself again bud. Talking about bloodlines and needing them to be preserved is fundamentally and categorically racist from the start. I'm actually baffled by the bolded part there. It's like you're advocating for segregation of breeding among races or something, which is such a racist concept I almost wonder if you're trying to be funny.
-
Here's where your delusions become apparent. There's a wide range of left and right and it's an evolving concept. The CPC was always considered right-wing and is still considered right-wing by the overwhelming majority of Canadians. The fact that you're so far "right" of them that you consider them "left" is indicative of how far out there your politics are and nothing else. We dismiss them because they're nonsense and completely out of touch with reality. If you consider that most Canadians can't even stomach the CPC (personally that's who I usually vote for) and consider them too far right, you're only fooling yourself if you think going further right of that is an answer to anything.

I have faith that the intelligence of the average Canadian is high enough to understand we're not under martial law.

Ezra serves the function of a compulsive liar and raving demagogue. That he's lost as many libel cases as he has despite his legal training is a pretty damning condemnation of his integrity. He's not stupid and he knows better, but he just doesn't care. This is a former tobacco lobbyist, after all.
-
Or they won't, because they're happy to see the protests end. Uh huh...Let's revisit this quote in 6 months and see how far along we are on this "nationwide uprising". I think I remember hearing something like this from the qAnon brain-trust - the Coming Storm or something... ?
-
Well Rebel Media was founded by Ezra Levant, who's been successfully sued for libel (read: lying) so many times I lost track. As a news outlet it really couldn't have less credibility than it does. It's an outlet for snakes to tell their audience of fools exactly what they want to hear and validate their delusions and conspiracy theories. On visiting their website you're to this gem, which tells you everything you need to know about the sort of people contributing to and reading it:
-
@Goddessbut you're not talking about journalists. You're talking about angry fools shouting to other angry fools and telling each other what they want to hear. The only thing you've been able to demonstrate with all your sourcing and clown citations is that you're not even reading the garbage you're reposting.
-
Trudeau's proven himself a fool and done so undeniably in the last two months. It's just too bad that he did it butting heads with other fools. It was like watching monkeys fling poo at each other.
-
I mean it would be a lot more reasonable to get your "facts" by trawling garbage websites run from basements by neckbeards and facebook, right Goddess? ?
-
@ZeitgeistStop yelling slogans when you're totally clueless about what they mean. ?
