I think Poilievre will slowly pivot to more mainstream conservatism. Trumpism is (overall) mostly reviled in Canada, with the exception being among Canada's conservatives. Canada-wide, something like 85% of people preferred Biden over Trump (and that wasn't because they liked Biden - it was because they hated Trump) and so this isn't a great federal election strategy. 41% of Conservatives, however, approved of Trump, so in a CPC leadership contest it was hard to ignore these people. He has 2 years now to transition to a more reasonable brand, so we'll see which way he goes.

I've watched Putin's thuggery for 20 years, see him for the villain and despot that he is, and I wish him nothing but failure. I'm not an expert on this war, and neither are you. I subscribe to reality, however, so I have a distinct advantage in these discussions over people like you who can't stop from tripping over your own delusions. The problem with this donkey-logic is that I do read all sorts of news sources, from all over the world with all sorts of different viewpoints. The arguments, conclusions and biases that an Indian news source presents are quite different than a British one, for example. These are actual alternative news sources, in that they are different sources of actual news. What you're subscribing to is alternative reality news, in that it's just a bunch of trashcan websites with parades of bloggers, personalities and editorialists making the noises that you want to hear. ?

I'm not sure how many actual Persians you know (maybe you're Persian - I dunno), but what you're describing is Zoroastrianism, which is close to a dead faith with fewer than 200,000 adherents globally. Most Iranians (or Persians for that matter) do not follow it. This is only a secondary point, however, because the main thing you need to understand is that you can't just tell everyone what "Persians" believe or don't believe as a sweeping generalization. It's an intellectually meaningless term - a lazy and ubiquitous cliché that people carelessly throw around to describe the bad people that they don't like or don't agree with. Some of those people may indeed be quite bad, but then describe their actions and misdeeds and let those speak for themselves rather than go with emotionally charged hysterics that reasonable people will conclude come from an unreasonable person. For the record, I'm 100% against the Iranian regime (and frankly most in the Middle East for that matter), but call them what they are: fundamentalist dictatorships with little/no respect for human rights or life.

Show us your source and what you read. Are you trying to say that there are NATO units on the ground? I could quote dozens of sources saying there isn't, but proving a negative claim is always much, much harder than proving the affirmative. If it's true, show us proof.
