Army Guy, we who have worn the Queens uniform do support you and as an old soldier you guys make me proud. Every soldier from my regiment has told us how proud they are to be part of this mission. How they feel they are making a difference in ordinary peoples lives. When the Taliban bastards threw acid in the faces of little girls ,just for going to school ,every civilized human being in the free world should have been supporting our troops no matter their political leanings. Where is the outrage from the feminists? The silence is deafening! Is it because they lean to the left? If so shame on them. Keep the faith Lad.

There are more Native Indians in Canada today than there were before the white man came on the scene. Why you ask? Because the Native infant mortality was horrendous. Even worse than the white man after he settled here. The Native was not in harmony with nature . He was ruled by nature. I personally think that our native people are as smart as any other race and can accomplish anything they wish to do. It is the aparthied system that keeps them down . Enough money has gone to the chiefs with out accountability that no one on a reserve should be living in squalor . But they are. Why? Living on a reserve in a modern world where there is no work will only perpetuate more drug and booze problems because of a lack of change. What you have today will be what you have tomorrow and the next generation. People are not noble because of race. They are noble if they choose to be and that is by deed and moral determination.

Anyone who advocates the apartied reserve system is perpetuating failure. Our native people after over one hundred years still live in abject poverty and ignorance. If a guy can get off a boat ,with five bucks in his pocket ,not knowing the language,culture and with wife and kids in tow and can own his own home in one year ,it begs the question. What have we done to our native people? Scrap the Indian act and let our native people be all they can be in a modern world. The reserve system is a failure.

Great story Dancer and it made my day. This is a reminder of why I hate whiners. I enjoy prosperity and a great life and those who don`y have what I have, moan about how lucky I am. No luck at all was involved. Hard work,guts and a desire to succeed. Well this lovely couple had another child after his neglect. Her name is Miracle! She is now in the custody of authorities . Seems the drinking goes on and he is charged for domestic violence.His bail said he was not to drink. Seems that circle of Indian justice does not have a lot of influence.

I would be into flogging any man who drank themselves into a drunken stupor while minding his babys. So whats that make me? I don`t care that the guy was an Indian. What I do care about is that equal justice be done no matter race or colour.

It is quite foolish to get general maintenance done at the dealer if you have a trusted corner garage. The cost of dealer work is astronomical compared to the independent. If the independent garage are on the up and up they will inform their customer when repairs are under warranty,recalls and also hidden warranties. Often I have seen where dealers have not told customers of problems occurring like head gaskets until warranties have either timed out or mileaged out. Not all dealers of course practice this dishonourable practice. The biggest rip off for consumers is the selling of rust proofing by dealers. But thats another subject.

I know after the merge how many Reformers were who had laboured for years for real change,conservative change, were shunted aside. Reform only lives in the hearts of those who were on a mission to save Canada from once again selling out their children. With this budget we have done it again. Muldoon and Trudeau must be smiling.

Lets get a few facts straight here. This kid was born in Canada. His parents were Egyption first,not Afgany. So he was niether fighting for Canada or Egypt. He was not fighting for his country in other words. His Dad ,a known terrorist was released from a Pakistani jail at the request of Chrietien. Maybe we should lay the blame there. We are allied with NATO forces in Afganistan. If he had killed as is alleged a Canadian soldier instead of an American soldier would that make a difference ? His family when they returned to Canada for sustenance at the Canadian Teat made it very clear their hatred of our way of life. If ever there was a reason to revoke citizenship ,this family is a good example. Remember that our soldiers and their allies are not fighting this war at the behest of the USA. It was a UN mission and the UN requested NATO to operate this war at their behest. Take you beefs to the UN . Not the USA or Canada.

I think they tried that once. It was called Red China and the Soviet Union.

Thank God the world did not have TV during WW2. I mean really, Winston had face for radio and fortunately was an able speaker able to marshall the English language and take it to war. Cops stop the next Honda they see with two silver haired ladys inside with guns frawn. I mean you don`t want jump to any judgements now do we.

If you don`t take an interest in who wants to govern your little piece of Canada,then you will probably not get to know them. One must lift ones derrier from the sofa and attend all candidates meetings,pick up the phone and call that contenders riding office and ask to speak to the candidate. Democracy is a very fragile thing that was given to you to hold dearly by those who went before us. Good idea to get to know all the candidates and speak with them and no matter your decision ,thank each and everyone of them for being part of your countrys democracy. Without them we could have but a party state.

If you knew a prisoner had information about an impending strike that was going to put your family lives in impending peril,would you not knock them about a bit to save your family?

Gosh BigAl ,have you ever been to the Canadian War cemetarys in France,Belgium ,Netherlands etc and observe that thousands of grave stones are adorned with a cross. Securalism is a relative new idea in Canada. In fact it only goes back to Chairman Trudeau.

Are you trying to tell us that the prisoners in Gitmo are being treated better than NATO soldiers in BinLadins military prisons?
