I have people who claim to be hungry stepping into my shop begging for money for food. Now I hate to see folks go hungry so instead of handing them a tooney as requested I offer them a meal. I keep juices and frozen dinners along with a microwave in my office. I am willing to feed people. Not one of these bums have ever accepted my offer. The other people who get under my skin are those who come in with a card and a trinket begging for money. On the card it explains they are deaf. I ask them if they read lips. If affirmative I tell them to get a job! People with worse problems are productive members of society.If people spent as much effort working or looking for work as they do bumming they would be better off. look at Toronto. They have more people working in the homeless industry than they have homeless. They even pay people to pretend the are homeless. Her is a quick start to feeding and caring for these bums ,er I mean homeless. We have lots of unused military barracks in this country. Gather the tramps , er I mean homeless and put them into these camps ,feed them ,school them and nurse them back to health. Yes against their will if neccessary. If some are to mentally sick they should be incarcerated in a mental facility where they can be humanely cared for and maybe even nursed back to health. But what we are doing now sure does not work. All we are doing is making being a bum respectable.

My Mrs. who has a more social conscience than I gives to our local food bank. My question is why is there such a big parking lot for their clients ? Why do they have such nice cars? Food banks are a self perpetuating industry. Welfare cheque is in , lets see now! I can buy beer ,take in a movie, designer jeans or food! Heck I can get free food! There is no reason to go hungry. Get a job. Manage your prioritys.

Locate all prisons for violent offenders on Baffin or Ellesmere Islands! Just make sure we tell all the prisoners that if they escape they will not be pursued by authoritys. Polar bears have to eat too!

Employees sell their talents ,abilities or brute strength. Once they are no longer needed there usefulness ceases to exist. The employee is under no obligation to keep them on unless the employee has a contract. A job is not a right. Not one of my employees goes home thinking about how good or bad business is! Their job stops at the shop door. As it should be! As an employer and business owner my job never ceases,it even invades my sleep at times. But I am not at the whim of a boss, I make my own luck. I succeed or fail all on my own.

I see no problem with cooking geese for once a week dinner for those who normally go hungry. The Canada Goose,once a glorious bird, has become vermin from over population. It craps all over our parks and pollutes our waters. Most are not bothering to fly south anymore.Yet you never hear the nutty fanatical Greens talking about this issue. Why? Cull the bloody things and if the so called homeless don`t want to eat a hardy meal of Goose then let them forage elsewhere.

About bloody time! A victim of crime can be devastated at seeing a criminal walk early because his lawyer used the system and our tax dollars spent on court time and publicly paid lawyers. This could not only bring swift justice and truth in sentencing but save us tax dollars.

And that should be the last word! Anyone who argues against this post is willing to commit theft. My Mrs. and I support many charities ,but they are our choices,not anyone elses. This was a very good post.

A head dress is smart. One wonders about the intelligence of some who wear a hat. Why in the blazing sun does one wear a peaked hat wrong ways round? I mean are we so afraid of being called a red neck. I even see it on the baseball field!

But the question begs, what will these so called poor consume? When this unearned wealth is depleted is the poor person any better off? Do we once again go back to the wealthy person for more money for that poor person to consume? How long before the rich person is laying off staff to keep the poor person in a life style he has been come accustomed too? Sharing the wealth by force only creates more poor people. Look at the late Soviet Union and those countries in the old Warsaw pact. I am not a wealthy man and I never recieved a formal education ,but I studied those I worked for and decided that I wanted to be free of others determining my future. I have done quite well and if I compare to my station I was born into. I am now rich. I am not of course but that would be how my folks would have looked upon me.

Whats mine is mine and I deserve the fruits of my labour. Now what I wish to share of my own free will is my business. Force is wrong. That goes for those who we suspect of getting their money through less than honest endeavor. When one is envious of the rich ,study them and their life and if you find them honest ,emulate them. But don`t let your envy make you dishonest enough to covet what is not rightly yours.

No matter if you steal from a wealthy person ,middle class or poor person , theft is wrong. Not all rich people are criminals ,as all poor people are not honest and decent, fortunately most are. Being rich or poor does not give one licence to steal..

I am sure that the American people are very embarrassed by these wanna be comedians. They are either ignorant or just plain stupid. I rather doubt that these dolts ever served in any capacity. The good news is that mainstream American media are chastising these dolts and educating the good American people about Canada`s participation in Afganistan.

Theft of someone elses property or money is still theft. All this plan of redistribution of wealth will do is create a whole lot more poor people. Why? Because the buying power will become more expensive and investment will dry up. Good example is Cuba. They have equality. Everyone is poor.

The incapable are now in charge and are being subsidized by the mass` for their their incompetence and entitlement ,yet they call themselves the brightest. The same executives who have failed. The same goes with our seniour civil servants. War ,and I mean real global war just maybe the terrible consequences and the cure for our sick system.

I am all for immigration of people who will a credit and potential industrious citizens. But once someone who immigrates to this wonderful land and abuses our hospitality they should be given the bums rush out of here. Unlike physicians and other trades we have no shortage of criminals, home grown or other wise.

If I had my druthers I would leave NATO to the Europeans. Most of them are fair weather warriors anyway. Let them defend themselves. A new alliance of Great Britian, Canada and USA should be created. NATO no longer has credibility.Other than the Dutch who else has done any heavy lifting ,putting their soldiers in harms way? NATO is a paper tiger now. Way back when it was a viable organization when they were made of sterner back bone.

Oleg ,your a well meaning person but you make great leaps to try and win your argument. We are talking about Islamic justice and this one case in particular. I never condoned this creeps punishment. But including Maple Leaf Gardens and our soldiers in Afganistan is surely for a different thread.

If this was a Christian women and was asked to help the court by removing a hat,scarf or veil there would be no argument. That was a silly switch and bait argument on your part. But I must admit ,I liked the hat, a veil topped off with gloves of yesterday on a women. But it certainly was not dictated by Christian extremists. It was fashion.

How does one bring the jews into this case of Islamic justice? The poor lass who rejected her would be suiter is scared for life and my heart goes out to her. What an awful thing to happen. But I am not sure I agree with an eye for an eye,but I sure think it is justice that will deter others from emulating in the short run.

So are you saying that not all races are equal. That some are more inclined toward violence than others? That some are more evolved more than others? Well dosn`t that just beat all! Multiculturism can not possibly work!

Those darn Isralie tennis players! They are always causing trouble. Imagine instigating a riot like that! The Islamists who immigrate to a foreign land and and cause violence in their adopted country do them selves no favour with the traditional Swedish population. Protest away if they wish as long as they do it peacefully. What did the Swedes do to deserve this violence? Is it because they have been so passive and liberal? If one looks upon Islam as a violent religion ,these guys are to blame. Not those watching from the side lines forming opinions.

From what I read she only started wearing the traditional dress and face covering before the trial started. I can well understand her retreating from prying eyes and those from her Islamic faith that will judge her inappropriately as being the guilty one. But these men are charged with a very heinous crime most foul and if found guilty flogging will be too gentle a punishment. But I truly believe that they have a right to face their accuser.

If you were accused of a crime most foul , you would not think it relevant to see your accusers face? That it would not be pertinent that witness` in your defense be able to recognize the accuser? Thats why they call them witness` is it not?
