Three polls in a row showing Liberals have regained the lead over the Conservatives, maybe I will have to change the order of the columns again. New Democrats are hanging in there as well. What does Thomas d'Aquino Want?
maplesyrup replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would imagine in reality d'Aquino is the most powerful person in Canada, and much more powerful than our prime minister, and also that his organization is much more powerful than than the Canadian government. Our country is run quite secretly out of view of the media and kept hidden from the average Canadian. -

Corporate Power and Public Purpose Has anyone here even heard of this guy or this organization? -
RB...good point. Quite frankly I have never encountered such negativity towards Canada in my entire life, as I have on these political discussion boards. Some people just don't appreciate something fantastic, even when it is staring them in the face. I wonder how many of them have ever done international traveling, outside of the US, that is, to places such as India, for example, where people can literally die on the streets. We are so fortunate here in Canada, and these folks want to destroy it by giving it away to the US. (259)

CH website Have you ever voted for them? 62 candidates are running for them in this election. Christian Heritage Party leader urges supporters to keep fighting

Seat projections are showing a minority government. All this talk about the Bloc and the New Democrats involved in the government process is probably a mute point. Let's face it, Conservatives and Liberals are fronts for Bay Street, and/or our big businesses, with their shadowy lobbyists in Ottawa. Thomas d'Aquino will be the one to determine the makeup of our next minority government. Everyone is being smoked here discussing issues like abortion, etc. These social issues are sidebar concerns used to distract Canadians from what is really going on behind the scenes. And it is working welll, isn't it? Do you seriously think either Harper or Martin give a s*** about the abortion issue, the same-sex issue, etc.? What they do care about is how much they can privatize the health care system and reward their backroom buddies with government contracts.

Goldie....thanks for the link. The latest right wing Global National seat projections compared to one week ago are: Momentum Shifts: Conservatives Still Projected to be Ahead But Liberals Regaining Seats Based on Mid-June Polls Canada Party/Seats/Change Cons: 123, 117, down 8 Libs: 100, 105, up 7 Bloc: 58, 60, up 2 New Dem: 27, 26, down 1 Total 308 So much for the hype that Harper won the debate, eh?

Which party do you think would best protect universal access to health care?
-
What does the West have to do with anything? Klein lives in Alberta. Period. Outside of Alberta, Klein's ideas are dead in the water. Even a Conservative Atlantic Region premier attacked him today.
-
That a quote from the first police officer who responded.
-
Klein is an astute politician. I'm not so sure he wants Harper as PM. I wonder why.
-
Argus.....why don't you focus your attacks on Klein. He is the one who has put Harper on the hot seat over health care - why did Klein do it? Clean up your own Conservative back yard first, eh?
