  1. The thing about Trump is even his apology is a lie: "I've never said I'm a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I'm not." Why, yes he has done both those things - on Twitter and posing as a publicist to brag about himself.
  2. When you're alone

and life is making you lonely

    you can always go

    grab a pussy

  3. I do the same. I notice that I tip less at cash only restaurants - like I know they are committing tax evasion so I adjust my tippage down accordingly.
  4. What a horrible, "deplorable," thing to write.
  5. Agreed. For some reason Trump's elitism is acceptable to certain people while Hillary's isn't. Its very odd. I often think there must be a logical fallacy named for this type of thing but I'm too lazy to look it up.
  6. I had to go into my profile and then "Edit profile" and press the little slider button.
  7. Yeah , because a back room elitist is always Trumped by a back room rapist.
  8. Thanks BC_2004!  Had to turn on status updates within the profile settings.

  9. I prefer someone who claims to be aware of being out of touch than with someone who is so out of touch that he thinks it's acceptable to grab women by the pussy.
  10. Was at a partner's retreat last weekend and having dinner with the boys and all of our wives. One partner, with 3 daughters, went off on how horrible Clinton is and how he would vote for Trump if he could. I wanted to say "but you have a wife and 3 daughters...." but passed. Now I'm wondering how his Thanksgiving dinner is going to go when his daughters come home and the debate is on Sunday night? Turkey for dinner and on TV. I now understand GOP stands for "Grab Our Pussies."
  11. I can't seem to find where to post status updates. Anyone?
  12. Signs turned up at the university of Calgary today that were not very nice: https://shawglobalnews.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/anti-muslim-poster-u-of-c-censored1.jpg?quality=70&strip=all&w=720&h=664&crop=1 The gist is: Dear Muslims, F... your beheadings F... your sharia Etc etc link above. The police are looking into these acts of intolerance. Questions: 1) I have not seen all of the posters yet, but the one linked above appears to be used the most by the media. Is it offensive? 2) why or why not ? 3) what is the purpose for spreading such posters? Will they convince people to want to f... Muslims or Islam or will they demonstrate that Calgary is a town full of ...? 4) if one happens to mostly agree with the poster - since all and any religious ideas should go f themselves on account of being bad ideas - does that make one an accessory to intolerance? Or put differently, is agreeing with the sentiments of the poster sanitizing behaviour unbecoming of those in a secular democracy?
  13. I love it! Now 18 votes for Trump. Despite odds of 3 to 1 for the Hillary. Well, still time for her to grasp defeat from the tiny tiny hands .....
  14. Keep your energy high kimmy! Some people are thick skinned and others are also thick skinned! Don't let the PTSD get you down....
  15. Well she has a petition found here: https://www.change.org/p/stop-women-s-oppression-at-the-world-chess-championship-by-challenging-fide-s-decision Basically either hold it elsewhere or only allow it in Iran as long as women don't have to wear ninja pjs. A reasonable thing for her to do. Even if she goes by Nazi!
  16. You are presuming that you do understand it. I doubt any of us have much of an understanding of it giving how quickly it can change. Ultimately, confidence must rest on a foundation of substance: character, capacity, and capital. The 3 C's of lending. Canada has blown through all 3 in the quest to purchase spiraling higher houses fueled by spiraling higher debt loads which are received on ever flimsier underwriting standards.
  17. Of course France could do this. And it is such a trivial thing I think they have a right to do it even if I think it is a stupid thing to do. [Having said that, I do recall recently some high level political talks were cancelled because the Iranians were demanding that no wine be served. The French said "non" apparently] I also disagree with Iran forcing women to wear ninja PJs. Would I like Nazi Paikidze (hey, tricky name) to have the Chess tournament moved elsewhere? Sure, fine with me. Make the political point. Ensure that Iranian women will not be able to participate to where ever the event is moved to etc etc over something that is nothing more than a trivial irritant. I think women's rights in Iran would be better advanced by attending the event in Iran. Show that women belong at a chess tournament and make the point that forcing women to wear ninja PJs is stupid. During her free time Nazi could get some pictures of herself without the head scarf on. Then, once she is back home she could post those pictures to social media and show herself both as the competitor that she is and for her subtle ways at defying stupidity. I think that would be more effective for all involved but that's just my opinion.
  18. Here is a timeline of governments trying to cool housing over the past 8 years: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-10-03/how-canada-has-tried-to-cool-down-its-housing-market-chronology Maybe the Liberals will be more effective than the CPC. They usually are so no surprise there.
  19. If they do it like BC then no one is going to care except for the far right who are too small to elect anyone in this country.
  20. Interest rates can still be low and still rise and crash a housing market. Who knows. It could happen. Australia has just seen their 10 yr bond yield increase by almost 10% this morning (their time). But let's see that turn into a trend before any further judgement. Besides, we have seen this before when the Feds reduced amortization from 40 years to 25 and down payments from 0% to 5% so who knows. I'd watch world interest rates first and Canadian unemployment rates second as the main factors in any housing/debt bubble burst. And it will hurt YVR and TO harder than the rest of Canada so be thankful for that. Who knows, maybe CDN's will become sensible and prudent borrowers someday. "Someday this debt bubble is going to end."
  21. Let's wait and see. Interest rates could spike up tomorrow which makes this all moot since that would kill the housing market all on its very own. Oh, and Canada does not have as much control over interest rates as people like to think. The bond markets set the rates.
  22. So you either don't know the answer or are not willing to admit the role the Feds have already played in real estate across the country. BTW, as a taxpayer of both federal and provincial income taxes I do not approve of 100% taxpayer backed insurance should the poop hit the fan like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the US. The banks and the mortgage holders should take on the risk - at least going forward since risk is so elevated thanks to years of low interest rates and government policy that have allowed debt/real estate to get us into this bind in the first place.
  23. Yep, I have several clients getting the call to get back to butt hump Alberta/BC and get back to work. And these are the guys who live on Vancouver Island.
  24. Who backs the mortgage insurance? Who regulates lending and the banks?
  25. Well, I suppose using "logic" one could claim Trump or Hillary have a 25% chance of winning since there are 4 candidates....
